I was lucky enough to be directed there by the local tourism office, after my friend mentioned she's vegetarian. Everything is great: the atmosphere. The banter between the coffee/chai station and the food station (run by separate people under the same roof). The food itself was fresh and plated up beautifully. It's also a co-working space AND has an adorable selection of locally-made gifts in the front. I suspect this is going to be THE go-to spot for the cool folks of Yass. I hope it is for anyone driving between Melbourne and Sydney, too.

Well, apart from my own taste, it's not uncommon to see owners of other local coffee shops, whose businesses close on weekends, frequenting chatterbox on Saturdays. The food is excellent and very well priced (surprising given Canberra's overpriced brunch market). Friendly staff who remember your face and order round this out. Bonus- some staff also work at Mingle in the city during the week, and as such if you're a city worker, you can check out Chatterbox on the weekend and your coffee will be known!

When I returned from the loo my table was set and bottle of water available. Nice touch. Generous portions of a very nice fruit toast with sides of butter & jam also in generous amounts. Coffee very nice. Highly recommend for its friendly staff, it's amenities and of course it's very nice food
