That was until a few weeks ago when I was that darn sore in my back and shoulders I couldn't resist the temptation for a 15 minute shoulder and neck rub for the bargain price of $15 from SENS. I thought it might offer a bit of relief at least, and couldn't hurt at worst. And in all honesty I am surprised at how good, relieving and relaxing it felt at the time and how much better I've felt ever since. It's the sort of relief I thought couldn't be felt unless I was paying over $100 and taking one hour out of my already over scheduled life. The Zen like setting of the small centre creates a surreal sort of ambiance and even with the outside noise and clients seated next to me, the skill and magic of hands of my therapist drew goose bumps. I could literally feel the blood start pumping in places of my body that had been tensed up and unused for far too long. If you're time poor, or you're not the sort that enjoys getting naked in front of strangers to feel some stress relief, SENS Body and Mind could be your place.

Both the receptionist and therapist took the time to ask about any areas I wanted more focus on as well as the purpose of the massage to really personalize my experience. The massages are pretty good and they are always very careful to ensure that they are applying the right amount of pressure for you as a patient. Do note that they don't take credit cards, eftpos or coins here. They ONLY take cash - as in notes people. It is very weird, particularly the part about coins. I've always been tempted to take along $5 of the $15 in coins but have always been too worried that they wouldn't accept it, so I don't really know how strict they are on that. I find the branch on Dorset road to be a little creepier than the other branches. The Dorset road branch is always super quiet and there is never any background music playing. The waiting room is huge although there is never anyone in it aside from me and there are two reception desks that are empty unless you summon someone with a bell. For $15 for an hours massage though, I just put up with the weirdness. Sometimes I get a really nice masseur who puts me at ease with friendly chit chat but mostly I get people who are quiet and don't say anything much.
