I've eaten here a few times all the years and the above description seems to always match the experience I've been through, the food thing is service is pretty quick meaning you could come here for lunch if you have limited time or before getting a train, my big worry is the fact the food might be coming out too quick meaning they're sacrificing quality. Most recently, I ordered a gluten-free Carbonara, I found it to be a little bland overall, and some parts of the pasta especially at the bottom were either hard and inedible or simply turned into mush. The pricing is reasonable, combined with a number of discounts, for example, they accept Gourmet Society for 25% off, but even for the quality of the food, I wouldn't say the price was worth what I paid. They had a good number of gluten-free options, quick service which is handy because of its location if you don't mind the quality being sacrificed a little, hence the reason for the extra star.

Tip: Despite the fact that the venue was fairly loud and noisy due to all the people present, the atmosphere was quite calm and relaxed. The staff didn't rush us and we enjoyed a fabulous, leisurely three-hour meal :-) Giovanni (who I think is the owner) went out of his way to make everyone there feel totally at ease and welcome; his aim seems to be to provide each and every guest with exceptional service, and he succeeds admirably! The general quality of the food was wonderful; all the ingredients were premium, and obviously chosen and prepared with loving care. Of everything we enjoyed that night, three things stand out most vividly in my mind - the sharing platter we started with, the house-made pasta dishes we shared for our entrées, and the desserts. It's VERY difficult to go wrong with anything on the menu here. Over and above the food, the wine list features several very interesting choices from various regions in Italy. Prices ranged from expensive to quite reasonable. In particular, I can personally vouch for one particularly massive Primitivo which weighed in with a 14.5% alcohol content which was simply devine! We stuck to pizzas, which were delicious, but for the more wealthy and adventurous there is quite a varied menu including duck marinated in orange liqueur and several variations on the fillet steak. Vegetarian choices are not quite so exciting though there are still a couple of pizzas and pasta dishes to choose from. So, it's an authentic Italian restaurant with good reasonably priced fare. Why only 3 stars? Well, we were sitting not more than 20cm (I kid you not) from another table. I usually quite enjoy a good eavesdrop, but this was too close for comfort. It felt like we should've been sharing food and chatter with the couple next to us. Originally the app didn't allow me to specify gluten free - this is something which needs addressing however after a quick call with the store, the manager seemed friendly to assist and make sure my order was gluten-free and I could still get my food. The restaurant its self is an impressive old building, it is up a couple of steps to get in - which could be a problem for some. I ordered a Gluten Free Americana pizza, the pizza its-self was quite good quality, the passata was a little runny at times but overall the pizza was a decent pizza, especially for gluten-free, much beating most other takeaways I could have had including Domino. The overall prize was good too for delivery, my pizza came delivered the short half a mile journey to the Hilton Manchester Deansgate for £11, the delivery free was set by UberEATS and cost around £2.50 in that total. The pricing for eating in, however, is pretty much average, with it being a small restaurant they lack the offers which bigger chains do, meaning it could work out slightly more expensive than rivals, including (but not limited to) Bella, Pizza Express and Zizzi.
