I try to support small and local, but this place borders on extortion! First they quoted me over $17 for small 6x9 padded envelope with a card in it via UPS. Then when I balked they said it would be over $7 to send it USPS. I went to the post office and it cost $1.50 read more

Use to be the place I would go to for sending packages, don't know what happened but none of the old employees work here anymore and the new ones are just lazy, phones are silent so I had to drive all the way here for them to tell me to look on my account to find a tracking number I lost but.. what account??? I sent a package through them, and the same item through STAPLES (the same vicinity) just two days later; The Parcel Place price was nearly double!!! It's convenient to have a local parcel place to take care of shipping issues. The shop is big for its purpose, and seems a bit sparsely inventoried. When I worked for a big firm, our mail room looked more stacked and ready to wage a mailing barrage around the world. Still, everything here is computerized. Give them your phone number to find your account (or make one), and give them a name and city where you want to send your package, and in a second they have all the known names/addresses there, and you select the right one. Small world and getting smaller by the minute. The only real downside is the expense of using their services. I just spend $70 to send a very small package to California overnight. Makes me think I should set up an account directly with FedEx or UPS. This charge felt like I had just been held up on the stage coach from Bisbee to Tombstone. These robbers didn't even bother to wear masks. But, I sure felt someone's hand in my pocket. read more

I don't normally review businesses but I'll make an exception. I went to 2-3 different shipping stores in the area until I, with complete hesitation, went here. Google reviews weren't kind to Parcel+ but don't be deterred. The painting I needed to ship was odd in shape and none of the above mentioned shipping stores could accommodate a box for me. The guys at Parcel+ were able to custom pack my painting and did it at the price for what would be just a box at their competitors. Super nice guys too! read more

Do not ship from here. They have the worst thing a shipping place could have; poor reliability and a lack of honesty. I dropped off 3 packages on Monday November 22 at about 2 PM. I was shipping them FedEx Ground and I always use Prepaid labels. I have shipped from here before using the same labels with no problem. A day later, the tracking numbers were still not active. The same on Wednesday. I called and asked if there had been any problem with pickups. I was told that FedEx was having trouble with drivers and they would check into my packages (neither of which would turn out to be true). I emailed them a scan of the three packing slips with tracking numbers. By Saturday 11/27, still nothing and the tracking numbers are still not active. I went to the Parcel Place location and, low-and-behold, there my three packages sat on the counter, underneath another 4-5 boxes. I asked why they were still there and the woman managing the store told me that the prepaid labels I used were not good for shipping. I told her she was mistaken because we use them all the time. I also told her that I had talked to the store on Wednesday and that I had emailed the package information, but that no one had told me then about the problem, nor had they contacted me later about the problem. I then asked her--if she found the labels unusable--how long was she planning to let the packages sit there before contacting me? I was in their system and she could have just called me. She just looked at me with an attitude. I did not loose my temper or raise my voice but I was direct. I told her that this was completely unacceptable and that I ship from her store all the time, but that I would not ship from there any more. She looked at me with a bored expression and replied "I'm fine with that..." Then she turned and walked away from me. That is what you are going to get from this store. DO NOT USE THEM, unless you don't really care if your packages get shipped. read more

Typical place. 3 stars cause they are all the same. However for USPS they charge extra for stamps. They charge extra for pretty much everything compared to the other local box it and shop it. They have a good location and I hear that's what it is all about. If you want stamps go olive or cost at Post office terry drive. Also staples up by Acme has cheaper envelopes and supplies. Not sure on PI box price but I assume it is higher. Decent customer service as long as an adults manager is working. read more

I live in Newtown and drive by this place all the time and never noticed it was there. Last night I went there at a few minutes after 7 PM. He just closed. The man went out over and beyond the call of duty. He opened the door and re-booted his entire computer just to help me ship my package. I was very impressed. THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! Stopped by last Wednesday to send out 4 prepaid FedEx packages. The arrogant middle aged clerk with grey hair behind the counter refused to give me a receipt siting all sorts or ridiculous excuses. He somehow expected me to just leave several hundred dollars worth of merchandise with him w/o any paper trail. Really? In my opinion most likely Parcel Place + did not bother to install a plain paper printer for printing receipts and this clerk was too cheap to print a customer receipt on a 10-cent self-sticky address label as other similar places do. I ended wasting an hour of my time hauling those 4 boxes, in the rain, to another FedEx location. Evidently this clown felt that saving a 10-cent piece of paper was worth sending the unsatisfied customer out in the rain on an hour long trip to another location. Very unprofessional service by Parcel Place +. I have already filed a formal complaint with FedEx with a case number and all. Needles to say I will never ever set foot into this joke of a business again under any circumstances. read more

the five or six times I have used this place for mailing work and personal items I have been consistently impressed with the service. someone comes over quickly, talks to you about your package, and helps you get what you need WITHOUT trying to upsell you. they show you the price of each shipping option. waaaaay nicer and easier than any other service place I have used. read more

Service was excellent. I went in there at 6:30 in the evening. There were customers being helped with their holiday shopping needs. Staff was able to quickly recognize what I needed, box me up and get me rung out while assisting those other customers at the same time. Any other place I would have had to wait in line 30 minutes before someone realized I could be assisted quickly and easily. No doubt those other customers received excellent service as well.
