Best meal that I've had for a long time. Decent prices for the amount of food and quality that you get. The bbq pork was so delicious. The meat is smoked and had an addicting flavor. The adobe beef was so flavorful. It had a very special flavor. Alittle sweet and savory. Parking was a bit had. We were able to park near the residential area, but was a bit of a walk. The service was great too. HAPPY BBQING!!

Starting on the left, TIMUAY BEEF TRI-TIP, ANN'S CORNBREAD BIBINGKAmonmtop, and then MAMA LEAH'S COCONUT BEEF ADOBO. Rice on the bottom.

After attending the Dodgers game, my wife and I decided (well, she decided ) she wanted to try The Park's Finest, which is just a mile or so from the stadium. It bills itself as a Filipino Barbecue restaurant. When we arrived, it had a simple, but pleasing decor. Since my wife is Filipino, she knew pretty much what she wanted. We ordered the Timuay Beef Tri-Tip. This meat was excellently prepared, and came with horseradish, which made it even better! We also ordered Mama Leah's Coconut Beef Adobo. Now, I have had Adobo, usually with pork or chicken, but this was a new twist, especially with the coconut sauce. It reminded me a bit of curry, which I absolutely love, so this dish hit a home run for me. We also ordered Ann's Cornbread Bibimgka, which is described as cornbread is combined with coconut milk, then baked on a banana leaf. This was like having dessert, it was scrumptious. During our meal, the owner, Johneric came to visit us at our table. Our server, James, did an outstanding job of providing exceptional service. Although the Dodgers lost the game, we felt good after eating this wonderful food.

i came with my boyfriend and friend, both filipino. we got three meat dishes and three sides. the cornbread was one of the best i ever had!! so moist and tasty without being overly sweet. the coconut meat dish was delicious with rice. my boyfriend was obsessed. my friend and i loved the carrots. the sausage and tri tip were very one note. i was expecting more bursting, layered flavors or unique sauces. it didnt help that the bbq sauce was very bland. i almost couldnt taste it. the owner and staff were super nice and passionate about what they do.

First time here and honestly can't believe I waited this long. Stopped in on a Wednesday night for a midweek dinner and quickly realized why this place is so loved. They're known for American style BBQ with Filipino flavors and it works exceptionally well. We went with the "Worker Wednesday special", which is basically a huge sampler plate of food so I recommend coming with a big appetite if you plan on ordering this. My favorites were the bbq chicken and cornbread bibingka. We also ordered the pork ribs which were really great especially once you add their house bbq sauce. Service was solid, and the place started to get more busy around 7:30pm. Walked out stuffed and very satisfied!

SKETCHY AF PARKING but pretty decent food. Filipino x Texas BBQ was an interesting concept worth trying out. I came here for dinner on a Wednesday night and ordered their Worker Wednesday special which is a plate that comes with a little bit of everything from their menu. The plate included coconut beef, hot link medley, pulled pork, candy-coated chicken, veggie medley, cornbread bibingka, and rice. All the savory items were solid, but not mind-blowing to me. What really carried the dishes was adding the house bbq sauce to the meats which was sweet, tangy, and tasty. For $18.50, the value is pretty good given the portion size. I even had to-go since it was a lot of food. The best item though was the cornbread bibingka which came warm and it was fluffy and perfectly sweet! My friend and I had to order another round of it because it was so good. However, the portion size for a single order is pricey at $11 for a small tin of the cornbread. Overall, a decent experience here. The food was good, but not mind-blowing enough to make me come back here alot.

Loved it! Great Filipino-inspired bbq. Don't know why I slept on this place for so long. Nice simple interior with a decent amount of seating. A couple TVs on the wall to watch a game. Also a small front patio area. Came in for dinner with a friend. We got the coconut beef adobo. So good! It was like an adobo and Thai curry mix that worked really well. You'll definitely want some rice on the side for that. The pork ribs were really good too, great with their table sauces. We got mac and cheese and the bibingka cornbread for sides and those were both really good. Service was good. Friendly staff. Street parking only. You might have to walk a block or two.

10/1/25 Wayyyy LONG OVER DUE review from 2020, pandemic times when Cris reached out & provided/donated the most amazing feast to the Nurses of USC, 9 East/West. She had trays of delicious food delivered for the staff who became the Covid Unit overnight. A million thanks, my deepest apology for the very late review. Phenomenal food & service does not even begin to describe it. Fast forward to now that I actually visited the establishment. I ordered Mama Leah's Beef adobo, Langka & mushroom adobo, with rice of course! James, the friendly guy who took my order, asked if I want rice with that... is the sky blue, is water wet, OF COURSE, what kind of Filipino do you think I am? LoL I cannot in good conscience forgo the cornbread bibingka!!!! Oh my EFFING Gah.... I've never had adobo with coconut milk! Where have I been? Been missing out--- that's what!!! Susmarya!! Both were so savory, rich, flavorful, slap ya Mama-good, hot diggidy dog! A little bit of kick, awesomeness!!! It's dangerous to know this place! The cornbread bibingka rounded it off--- I must have the recipe! Get your food from here! Eat it, enjoy it! Pow! The only drawback-- it's street parking, so it's first come first served. There's some indoor & outdoor seating. Not the most comfortable seats but it'll do.

Very enjoyable experience here at The Park's Finest last night. Came in with my family and almost had ordered the entire menu, lol. The food was great. The service was awesome. One hiccup was that they forgot our order of Mac n cheese. To make up for it, they comped the price for it and served it for us anyway. Great service. Parking can get tricky. Check out their weekly specials.

Finally tried this spot out I'm Filipino and the second I saw a Filipino fusion bbq spot I knew it was a must. We got lucky we came on a Wednesday so ordered their Wednesday worker special plate that came with the beef adobo, pulled pork, chicken, and hot links along with rice veggies and the bibingka corn bread. We also ordered the Gouda Mac and cheese and that was one of my favorite things we ate today! The ribs were good but could've been a little more juicy but had good flavor. There was no wait on a Wednesday evening and the workers were very kind and welcoming. There's a decent amount of seating inside but I could see it getting packed on the weekends. We will definitely be coming back the meats were so tasty and the sides were delicious as well.

My husband and I loved our experience here! First off, the service is incredible. The staff is so nice and attentive. & the food... wow. The filipino take on texas bbq is just heavenly. Out of all the meats, the tri-tip and the short rib were our favorites. Both were tender, flavorful, and paired perfectly w their horseradish sauce. For the sides, the mac and cheese was the clear winner. I usually don't even like mac and cheese, but theirs had the perfect balance of creaminess and cheese, and the panko crust on top added an amazing texture. Highly recommend!!!

My favorite thing to order is Mama Leah's Coconut Beef Adobo, Short Ribs and Anna's Bibingka Cornbread. Noel's smoked Gouda Mac & cheese is hot too. This place is small & very simple. You will have to find parking around the corner but you will be able to find one. We always get greeted as you walk in the doors. We always feel welcomed. The business owners are Johneric & Christine who are so kind & friendly. We just met Chef Noel, we end up growing up in Carson & going to the same Junior high school, Carnegie, I end up knowing his family. He also knows my boyfriend's family. It's a Small world. Me, being Filipino, this food isn't something you taste everyday. It's a treat to eat here. The drive of 35 minutes away is worth it. I always recommend all my friends & family to try this place out. Make sure to make reservations, I met my family here party of 15.

I would honestly describe this a must try when visiting LA. I've been coming here for years and I'm so thankful they've made it through COVID and tough times, so much so they were feeding people through the epidemic. Their bbq is delicious and their Filipino spin on dishes is refreshing. The Worker Wednesday plate is a must have. You get almost a little bit of everything. Enough to taste a lot of what they have to offer. It's pretty substantial and you get a lot for what you're paying for. The cornbread bibinka is one of my favorites!!!

    Ordered too much rice lol

    Best place to park?

When I drove there the first time I had to rely on street parking. That's all that is there.

Does the corn bread come in one size (only the one that's cut into 4 pieces)?

Yes. It's a uniform size with a uniform amount of cuts. If the owner sees this, I will work there for free if you make ones the size of Shaquille O'Neal's size 22 shoeboxes and let me have those.

Is there outdoor seating available for a group?

There are two booths on both sides of our patio space that allows between 6-8 individuals max and we also have drink rails that can fit an additional 4-6.

Will there be a take out option soon? I didn't see one one the website and I'm not sure how long the wait time would be.

Yes, you can call for take out. You have to try their cornbread, make sure you leave room for the main dish. Try to avoid the lunch rush or dinner rush ... (you will wait)

Where should I park? Is parking readily available?

The best place to park is North of Temple Street crossing Edgeware Road to Bellevue Blvd. Near the Craftsman and Victorian homes you can find lots of parking.

Do you accept cash? Or is it card only?

We accept cash and card. Thank You!

Hi, is there outdoor seating available?

Yes, we have patio dinning in two booths parties of up to 8 guests as well as drink rail stool seats.

Nestled in the sauce were vibrant, perfectly cooked vegetables: tender bok choy, slightly charred green beans, and slices of eggplant that had soaked up all the savory depth of the stew. At the heart of the dish lay generous chunks of beef -- fork-tender, deeply flavored, with just enough fat to melt into the sauce and give it that rich, silky mouthfeel Kare Kare is known for. Sprinkled over the top were crunchy bits, adding a satisfying contrast to every spoonful. Of course, the small side of bagoong (fermented shrimp paste) was essential -- a modest dollop transformed each bite, balancing the sweetness and creaminess of the peanut sauce with a punch of briny intensity. Paired with steaming garlic rice, every scoop felt like the perfect blend of textures and flavors, a true homage to the Filipino classic. Eating Spoon & Pork's Kare Kare felt both nostalgic and elevated -- the heart and soul of a traditional comfort food presented with an eye for freshness and balance. It's the kind of dish that makes you slow down, savor each bite, and immediately start planning your next visit.

4.5 stars. Sorry,…read moreguys - I'm still catching up on my reviews and am kicking myself for failing to write this before Spoon & Pork permanently shut its doors. This was an unforgettable eatery. During our trip to Los Angeles in May, 2023, Wendell invited Jay, Z and me to meet up with Veda and him for a late lunch at 2 PM at one of their favourite Filipino restaurants, Spoon & Pork, on Sunday, the 7th. Spoon & Pork, which originated as a food truck, was a restaurant that specialized in Filipino comfort food with a contemporary twist. They offered a fresh, inventive fusion of the flavours of the Philippines with modern sophistication. Nestled in the vibrant heart of Los Angeles' Silver Lake neighbourhood, Spoon & Pork was a cozy boutique eatery on bustling Sunset Boulevard that greeted guests with a neon pig sign at their front entrance. No private lot on this busy street, so finding nearby parking was a bit challenging and although the charming spot offered both indoor and al fresco dining, seating was also limited. The tropical-inspired dining room with warm wood accents created an effortlessly cool and relaxed atmosphere that felt both modern and rooted in tradition. Upon entry, guests were welcomed by the aroma of sizzling meats and fragrant spices which alluded to the culinary journeys to come. The food at Spoon & Pork wasn't exactly what one's nanay (mom) or lola (grandma) would cook. Celebrating fresh takes on the richness of Filipino cuisine, the menu was an invitation to indulge in unexpected, compelling twists on a thoughtfully curated selection of traditional dishes, infusing familiar flavours into new forms. Below are what we ordered: beef tapa ($25) - MASARAP (DELICIOUS)! Of all the dishes that we ordered, this was the winner of them all as the succulent meat packed a punch of flavour. adobo tofu ($14) - One of Wendell's regular orders, this notable plant-based option, was a tasty, innovative take on the Philippine classic that balanced tradition with modern creativity. laing ($9) - From their platito, small plates section, this bowl of coconut braised taro leaves was rich and creamy deliciousness, but, yes, mini in portion size. garlic rice ($4/$7) - Ordering the garlic rice over plain jasmine rice was a no brainer. Thoroughly infused with the savouriness of the many bits of garlic, this rice perfectly paired with all of the other dishes. bistek ($28) - The skirt steak was very tender and the sauce perfectly balanced the tanginess from the calamansi juice with the savoury soy sauce. lechon kawali ($23) - Another reimagined classic dish featuring crispy, golden pork belly with crunchy skin and tender, flavourful meat inside. The dish was complemented by a tangy, pickled red cabbage that enhanced the crispy texture and added a refreshing contrast. This mastery of flavour and texture tickled Z's tastebuds and won him over. Before this day, Z was never a fan of Filipino food. Everything tasted boldly rich and every bit intensely intoxicated our taste buds. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive. What a remarkably epicurean feast and delightful experience we enjoyed! We're super bummed that Spoon & Pork permanently closed shoppe. Z and I were hoping to return for another tasty meal. Truly, a worthy spot this place was to hit up for an impressively creative taste of the Philippines in Los Angeles.

At first, the experience can feel a little overwhelming with the open grills, karaoke playing in the background, and the lines of people waiting to grab food. However, I would absolutely say it is worth the wait. The tables turn over fairly quickly, so it does not take long before seats start opening up. Even while waiting in line, one of the workers running the karaoke setup stood outside greeting guests and striking up conversations by asking questions like, "Where are you traveling from?" and "Is this your first time visiting us?" She had such a great personality that it genuinely made my family's experience even more enjoyable. Once you get inside, you grab a tray and start picking out whichever skewers and sticks you want to eat. After paying, you head outside to the grill area where you warm up and char the BBQ skewers yourself. One small thing to keep in mind is paying attention to which direction the smoke is blowing so you do not accidentally end up standing directly in it. The food tasted great once everything was grilled and ready to eat. I would also highly recommend getting some vinegar on the side since the acidity complements the meats really well. Overall, if you are looking for a family-oriented place that makes people feel welcomed regardless of where they come from, I would highly recommend stopping by to experience their hospitality.

So, early one Saturday, I pulled up with my sister from another mister to get our breakfast on. First of all, tell me why they're basically down the street from me. They've been around as long as I've been alive and not once had I been. Truly a shock considering my commitment with never making food at home. I stay eating outside. There was only one other group of diners while we were there. A family of 4 who were seated in the back room. We ended up being seated in the area facing Fountain. My first comment was how I felt like I was at my Lola's house because the decor was giving Lola vibes, in the best way. I felt like I was home. My friend got the laing meal and I got the tocino. We also got a side order of the sweet & spicy longanisa. Broooooooooooooo That food was wow. I'm gonna say it again - it tasted like home. Down to the fixins on the table like vinegar and suchas. I appreciated all the little touches. We ate so much yet still had so much leftovers. Their portion size was crazy. We would've been good with just one meal and another protein a la carte. We also got a small bowl of their arroz caldo. Let me tell you something, a single tear legit went down my left cheek. That tasted like what my mom made for me when she was still with us. The memories that came flooding back took me on a rollercoaster of emotions. We did order their famous empanada that never came. We had to remind our server that he never dropped it off. I'm not sure why he didn't double check if we still wanted them which we did. We would've obviously paid for them. Despite that they're getting all the stars from me because the food was fire and their drinks were 10/10. I got the Maria Clara. They also allow two free refills so that's a double win. I'm about to pull up every weekend. Take all my monies.

I felt comforted by the sourness of the Sinigang soup after feeling stressed about my final exam. My friends ordered Tapsilog and Tocilog (tapa and tocino with garlic fried rice) and I was able to try them. The tapa was alright, but the tocino was very delicious. I liked how the tocino wasn't fatty at all. I would recommend the Sinigang and Tocilog to other friends/my family. The service was great. Our server was nice and accommodated us quickly when we needed something. The wait time for the food we ordered wasn't so bad. I also liked the ambiance of the restaurant because it felt like I was inside a family friend's house, which was unique to me. The food is a little on the pricier side for Filipino food, but overall I had a great experience dining here.

We got seated right away in the "patio" even though we were a little early. We ordered shrimp chips, garlic fried rice, pork belly lechon and the chicken inasol. Everything tasted great, service was kind and friendly. Our order of the chips did not arrive and when we mentioned it to our server, the chips were brought to us at the end of the meal on the house. So thank you! It was also delicious! We are looking forward to returning to try other items on the menu.

Food was delicious, flavors were all great and all but even considering LA prices, seemed overpriced for what you are getting. Vedge salad is just a piece of cut lettuce head sprinkled with some sauce for $16. Half a small chicken for $30 and a small pork belly for $25 felt overkill thinking about the ingredients cost. We ordered some rice to fill us up. I imagine most of the money goes into customer service and interior design, all the other stuff. Waiters and hostess were all kind, no complaints there. Highly recommend a reservation on weekends! Parking is street if you can find or a parking lot for around $5. Though our experience was good, I wouldn't come back sadly.
