My lessons were always planned out and he always made sure I was aware of my abilities on the road as well as other drivers. I found his teaching methods very easy to follow and I can understand why he is a grade 5 instructor because he is very obviously passionate about his job and enjoys teaching and not only did I feel like the lessons were structured individually for me but he taught me how to drive safely. My boyfriend recommended wighams driving school after he passed on his first attempt with David Eblet. I got in touch with David and he started lessons for me straight away in August. He was a lot calmer than my previous instructor and explained things in a way you can understand easily and he gradually built my confidence back up. I booked my test at the end of September and passed first time with only 1 minor. I also just completed a pass plus course with David Eblet as well which was just as pleasant and enjoyable as the lessons. I would definitely recommend wighams and David Eblet as a driving instructor :)

My girlfriend was learning over 70 hours (over two years)and still haven'tbeing taughtparallel parking or emergency stop! And because he claims that his diary is always full, he only gave one hour per week to my girlfriend even when we requested extra hours numerous time. The worst thing is, the lessons always get cancelled due to numerous excuses with his Mini or maybe he's on holiday etc. Same as the earlier reviews,the lessons consist of driving home the previous student, driving Chris home to go to the toilet, then driving to pick up the next person. So if you're taking one hour lessons, you'll probably only be driving for 40 minutes at best including driving the last student home, then you'll be sitting at the cramped backseat for half an hour while the next student drives you home. I knew we should have stopped earlier but my girlfriend feared change and it dragged on for 2 years until I was absolutely fed up! I called AA driving school and stop taking lessons with Alan's Driving School! And we glad we did change! The new driving instructor from AA was 10 times more professional and gets straight to the point. And within few hours of practise in parallel parking and emergency stops (which she never been taught), she was ready to book her test! After leaving Alan's Driving School, my girlfriend recalled that Chris Martin requested her to pay him a practical test fee of £62 but had no receipt from him. So we sent him a couple of messages to firstly say good bye then to see if its refundable. We got no response whatsoever! not even a goodbye! We've later asked the new driving instructor from AA to found out that you have to personally book the practical test online and she shouldn't have paid the instructor the test fees. Well, we're glad that we've left Alan's Driving School, and I personally would not want to see anymore victims....SO PLEASE VOID ALAN'S DRIVING SCHOOL AT ALL COST!!! Best to use an established driving school like BSM, AA or RED where they have an scheduled learning plan.

Between August and…read moreOctober Mo let her down last minute on 4 separate occasions with very little notice, in fact during the 2 month period her only gave her 4 hours out of the 10 I paid for! After he let her down the 4th time with less than 4 hours notice we decided to ask for a refund on the remaining 6 hours. Mo offered to refund only 50% !!! We told him this isn't acceptable. We are now having to go threw the court process in order to get the £210 back which he was fully aware is my daughters 17th birthday gift! BEWARE OF PAYING THIS INSTRUCTER FOR BLOCK BOOKINGS, ONCE HE HAS YOUR MONEY HE WILL MESS YOU ABOUT AND COME UP WITH EVERY EXCUSE IN THE BOOK! Mo has been really supportive from the start and always listened to and eased my anxieties. He is really chilled and relaxed and taught me in a way that really worked, explaining everything in real understandable ways so everything he taught me stuck. He always had faith in me that I would pass which he always communicated. Lessons all booked in advance and communicated well. Car always well kept and clean. No complaints.
