From past experiences, we knew that the anoid rod was probably the problem, so we called the company who installed the water heater to have them replace the rod. Well, the technician came out, couldn't remove the rod but told us that he would call us back with a solution. That was in May! I called them 5 times and never received a call back! I called Pipedream Plumbing on Monday and Ryan was out here on Tuesday. He was unable to remove the rod because it was COMPLETELY STRIPPED from the previous attempt. We ended up having to get another water heater (still under warranty) because of the stripped rod and he installed it on Thursday. Said estimator never entered any information into the system so no follow up was done by company. Fast forward again to November 2025. Went to showroom try again. New salespeople scheduled estimator Mike to come out. He shows up, takes note, and once again, no follow up. I called and spoke to Victoria who basically told me they weren't interested in doing it my way since it wasn't to "code", which I presume is industry talk for you need the most expensive option. I called for a toilet clog caused by a plastic lid. Over the phone, I was quoted $125 just to come…read moreout, plus $280 to remove and install a new toilet, not including the cost of the toilet itself. I was also told that using a toilet auger would cost more than replacing the toilet, and this recommendation was made without an in-person inspection. I declined the service and later resolved the issue myself with a plunger. The toilet now works perfectly and did not require replacement. I recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to a full toilet replacement for a simple clog.
