Our very energetic and playful Siberian husky spent about a week at the Pet Resorts, and had a blast! I found them on Yelp and when I asked our vet for a boarding recommendation, they mentioned The Pet Resorts. I called to schedule my dog's "vacation." They took down all of my information and sent me an email with everything we agreed upon, including a furminator bath and groom. The staff was professional, friendly, and helpful. They also seemed very knowledgeable. I received an email and phone call reminder of our dog's stay with them. They suggested that I fill out the new customer packet prior to arriving. However, I had printer issues and was not able to. They printed it for me when I arrived and I filled it out in their spacious lobby. It was lengthy and thorough. Their nightly rate of $40 per dog is for their Standard Runs, $52 per dog for their Pet Suites. Add $5 per night per dog during Holiday periods. Half day fee for pickups after 1 PM. Pick-up and drop off anytime during their business hours. When I picked up my fur baby, he looked so good! Probably the best groom he's ever gotten. We were very impressed. They also gave me a report card that accurately described his personality. He was definitely tired when he got home. The Pet Resorts board cats as well. They offer a pet taxi to pick up and drop off your pet for an additional charge. We will continue to use TPR for our dog's future vacations. read more

We have been using The Pet Resorts for about a year now and have been very happy with the team there and over time our dog has really gotten comfortable there. You can tell the team loves what they do and loves dogs - Kennesaw is always greeted with a happy hello. We love how they post pictures on their Facebook so we can see what our sweet Kennesaw is up to when we are gone. The groomer is great and our dog always comes home looking nice! read more

RESOLVED. So the owner of the resort contacted me directly and was deeply concerned about the condition of our pups and was very apologetic. He called if not me texted everyday to see how they were doing and was giving me recommendations on treating symptoms. After the pups got back home from the vet I gave him an update on what the doctor said. He insisted he help with the vet bill but our pups are on health insurance so our out of pocket was very little but I appreciate his offer. I am willing to give the resort a second chance so I ask him if they could comp a grooming and bath for my Husky. The owner said that is not enough and gave us a credit to our account to use any of their services at their resort. I must say I really appreciate the owners concern and willingness to help in any way to make things right. Honestly that's hard to come by now a days. Disappointing considering the high reviews and recommendations. We pick our dogs up 10/15 and they were both in rough shape. Our oldest had been vomiting and had some mild diarrhea. Understandably, she was stressed out boarding, which probably contributed to her condition, but we were also told that she ate well while she was there and yet has lost almost 5lbs (typically 30lbs). Considering she was in the calm play group, I can't see excessive exercise being a cause for such significant weight loss. She has since been inhaling food since we brought her home, whereas usually it's a fight to get her to eat her meals, so I'm guessing she didn't eat as well as they claim she did. Our younger dog was in pretty bad shape, so much so that she took and immediate trip to urgent care for treatment. She had been having bloody diarrhea, and when we picked her up, she was completely covered in blood and stool despite the bath that they told me she needed to have to clean her up. Her back and was completely raw and bleeding, the insides of her back legs or raw and red from her licking, the pads of her feet are raw and cracked, and her mouth was completely ulcerated, I assume also from licking. We were told that everything started the day before we picked her up, but based on the severity of her skin and also a significant weight loss (7lbs down from 41), I am guessing that's not the case. Since we have been home, she has had no appetite, and will not drink water, both of which they told me she was doing fine while she was with them. Again, I would have assumed that weight loss would come with extensive play time, but being that she was with the calm group, and we were told that all she did was sit on the A-frame and not play, that doesn't appear to be the case. We are having a difficult time believing what they are telling us about how well they ate and drank while they were there, and that they were doing well in group. Based on their physical appearance and attitude since they have been home, it does not appear that that is the entire truth. read more

LOVE!!! I had such a wonderful experience with the Pet Resort! One of my dogs has some fear aggression with new people so I've had a really difficult time finding a reliable option for her when I go out of town. The Pet Resort staff listened to my concerns and patiently talked me through their routine. I went on my work trip knowing my girls were well cared for. The first time my pets was there he was overwhelmed and stressed and rather than trying to calm him down they sent him back home when I was out of town with no other boarding option. They called and told me he would stay but in the crate but when my son, who was flying out the next day cane with meds, they sent my dog home. He had to cancel his flight. We boarded our 2 puppies at The Pet Resort-Cumming last week. The facility was very nice and the employees were fantastic! We were able to see pictures of our dogs playing with other similar dogs their size while we were away in Florida. We could also tell the employees were loving our little doggies. I would certainly use them again and highly recommend their services. We even had our dogs groomed before we picked them up. They did a great job and the dogs were very well-adjusted and happy! I started using The Pet Resorts for my dog to get his nails cut a good while back when I lived in Milton. I had tried other places and Cooper was always real nervous which made it hard for ANY groomer to handle him and get the job done. Enter Dee and Cassidy at The Pet Resorts. Two of the nicest and most accommodating groomers ever. They worked with him gently at first and now, he hops right up on the table and will even offer a paw! I moved to Decatur a year ago, but I still drive the almost 40 miles (one way) to this facility because I trust them with my dog. They do a great job cutting his nails back and are so kind to him. Just picked up our pup after 8 days, gotta admit was a little anxious about leaving him somewhere for this long but now at ease and totally comfortable that this place is the next best thing to being at home. He was clean and happy, can tell he enjoyed himself here. And the report card with feedback was awesome, it's so cool to see what they observed and totally spot on, matches his personality completely. The only downside is the distance, pretty far out but there is a fix for that, they have a pet taxi which will pick up and return so you don't have to make the drive. I made an appointment for my 3 year old lab just to have a simple grooming. I dropped her off the day of and everything seemed fine. Apparently, her shots weren't up to date and called me back not more than 15 minutes later to pick her up. I'm upset I wasn't called or notified about this. If they had told me this, I don't know....when I made the appointment or the day after I would have not scheduled her. I've been searching for a groomer who has the ability to groom the dense, curly coat of my goldendoodle. After our first visit at Pet Resorts, I believe I have found what I've been looking for; I still can't believe how soft her fur feels! I took my 2 year old corgi here to have a full groom done including a furminator treatment. The most he's ever had done by someone that's not my fiancé or myself is a bath and toenail trim, so I was a little apprehensive. However, Cassidy, our fabulous groomer, was very sweet and I could tell from the start that Cooper was going to be fine. I dropped him off around 9 and got the call to pick him up a little before 1. He looked and felt great! He wasn't stressed or anything! I was even given a report card reviewing the services he had done and how he did overall! This place is fantastic! Our dog Bogie stays here every time we leave town and we couldn't be happier. We have tried other places, but he seemed very upset to enter the facilities and was pitiful when we picked him up. The Pet Resorts is like a vacation for Bogie. He tries to jump out the window as soon as we pull into the driveway. He is loved by all of the caring employees, and gets so much exercise and play time with his dog friends. We left the country for 10 days and worried where we could leave our male German Shepherd who doesn't take to strangers. Thank God for this wonderful team who not only kept our dog safe and sound, but turned him into their friend to the point he curled up in their laps. I never thought my dog would be so calm and trusting. These people ARE "dog whisperers" as far as I'm concerned and a special thanks to Mimi who really understands and loves my dog. He had fun and played till he was pooped. I have never picked up my dog from a kennel before where he was brought to me off leash, obedient and happy. This place is the greatest. The Pet Taxi is a delight, so convenient, and my dogs are excited to "go for a ride" right off the bat. They come home tired, relaxed and happy, so I know they've been active, not just sitting bored and waiting. We have a 100lb male Doberman. He is free spirited, very intelligent and incredibly athletic. So finding a facility to take care of our "little man" was not easy until we partnered with Atlanta Dog Trainer and Pet Resort. This is an organization of outstanding, considerate and talented people. We happen to have a second home in a different part of the country so, it is critical to have a service provider we know that takes better care of our dog then we do at home. The differentiating item is superb management and facilities. It is refreshing to walk through kennels that are spotless and smell fresh. I have recently moved to Georgia and started taking our 6 month old Dane to Atlanta Dog Trainer's Pet Resort for boarding. Our family travels often for weekend softball tournaments and we were looking for a fun, caring place for Samson to stay while we are out of town. I cringe at the thought of our dog being locked in a cage for multiple days and only coming out for potty time and an occasional walk... The Pet Resort is a "social" place where the dogs are free to play with each other on the grounds and enjoy each others company. When Sam comes home after his stays, he CRASHES on his bed and sleeps for hours - it is obvious that he was well taken care of and had plenty of exercise and socialization. I also like that fact that there is one lump price for all of the services (aside from grooming or bath, which is obviously extra). No more decisions about how often we should "schedule" playtime, walks, etc....all for extra fee's of course. I will never take Sam to another place for boarding. Great place to take your dog! Staff is knowledgeable and accommodating and location is wonderful for pets. They have large outdoor areas for exercise several hours a day and inside pens are large and kept clean. Our dog runs out of the car inside every time we drop him off. We have been taking our dogs to the Pet Resort for about six years now and wouldn't consider boarding them anywhere else. This place is great! While the resort is located a good bit from our home in Dunwoody, I love the fact that it is tucked away on a one-lane road, on a big lot with lots of trees and large, rural play areas! We call it "going to camp." The Pet Resort has a Pet Taxi but we prefer to take the dogs ourselves. Malcolm, Sonja and the rest of the ADT team are wonderfully caring people who take a lot of pride in their work...and it shows. Our dogs are SO excited every time we turn down Howard Road! When they return home, we get a report card with an update of their visit and the dogs are clean, happy and so very tired! While pricing is not as important to me, I find theirs to be very reasonable especially in light of the great service they provide. I used to feel guilty when boarding our dogs but never again. These guys are awesome and get our highest recommendation. read more

This facility is a well oiled machine. We have used Atlanta Dog Trainer and Pet Resort for over 10 years! The trainers, staff and management are all professionals that have dedicated their lives to animals. The facility is clean, safe and well monitored. Never are our dogs left alone during "play time", there is always a trainer in the yard with the dogs. Yes "yard" - no empty cold rooms with a camera here - only fresh air, real dirt and grass, balls, baby pools and a trainer. The trainer interacts with the dogs; not only to play but to have a constant pulse on the mood of the dogs (all dogs do go through a personality assessment prior to group play) All of our dogs have been cared for by this team; from our older 14 year old lab, Jack, our rambunctious chessies, Charlie and Fletcher, to our new big baby, Rowdy. These people have stayed overnight in sleeping bags at the facility during ice storms and gave extra love overnight to our sick Chessie, Charlie. We have used the Alpharetta location for 4 years and the Cumming location for 7 years. I will not let any other place take care of my dogs - they are truly loved here. Yes, sometimes Rowdy does come back a little dirty - THANK GOODNESS!! Because in my heart I know he has NOT been trapped in a cage for hours, lonely and sad. He has been with his buds, Hazel, Buster and Happy - playing and being a dog; having the time of his life! He wiggles and jumps when he sees Sonya, Mimi, Linda, Nancy and Malcolm. He will lean on them knowing belly rubs and kisses are coming his way! I have stopped by at all different times of the day and many times have been invited back to watch him play and the belly rubs and kisses are still continuing! There is nothing to hide here. My dog also came back FILTHY after a two week stay. (We went out of the country for our wedding/honeymoon) He also ended up with a rash and scratches on his face even though the trainer said he was very playful and loved playing with big dogs.
