This small pharmacy was opened after the larger store called Westland Maple Drugs on Ford Rd. closed it's doors. Although they are "just a pharmacy" and don't sell cosmetics and small appliances, they are great at what pharmacies do. The staff(pharmacists, cashiers, techs, etc.) are all super friendly, and take the time to answer your questions about insurance or your medication. One other plus-they sell a great variety of Unjury protein products, including small envelopes(unflavored, too!) so you can try them. I am in the process of changing all of the fam's scripts to this pharmacy, because they are so much better than any large chain in the area. read more

This pharmacy was recommended by my Physician as we were having communication issues with my former pharmacy right down the street from us. I have a rare condition that requires very little medicine compared to other conditions that are equally as important to maintain a level of professionalism without the big chain pharmacies impersonal care, so after giving the old, closer pharmacy several months (which I believe is enough time) to get right. They couldn't get it right after trying to work with them, it my Doctor who suggested that While I didn't need coddling - a little respect for was in order for having rare disorder that needed 10 years before I could an Endocrinologist. The its no cure, and I can expect to have to be on it the rest of my life. I gave them 6 years to get it right, and the past two years all they needed to do was fill them - out, being as sick as was, on top of losing my whole family in three months should not warrant the vitriol they treated me with, with because at first, I trusted Tom, his knowledge, as you have to, and each pharmacist in thistiny little closet of a Mom & Pop shop whom I like to support, I was made ashamed on top of feeling horrible because they would each say something different- and since I had no one left, I had no one to do it for me to save me from the abject ditching of me as I was picking my medication up (I was actually trying to get them on the same day so I wouldn't be a bother. I was very scared, especially newly diagnosed correctly by a specialist with such news. The woman seemed to have empathy, but the son and his relief pharmacist(s) seemed to - there's no other way to put it - kicking me when I was down. I was in an embarrassed state when I told my Doctors I couldn't take the abuse anymore. . They even heard a tape of the last debacle. The entire Doctor's office said they hate to even have to deal with them - too many pharmacist's and zero communications Funny, this the first time I left a review. Couldn't LOVE The PHARMACY in Westland, more! The patient care the way it should be. Avoid the Big Chains, stick with these extremely professional store's Staff who knows you're there suffering. Not all Mom & pop stores are equal - some break HIPPA RULES,, too. Go Farther east on Cherry Hill and Outer, and turn Left on Beech Daly, first block on the left. Dropped off my script told them I wanted to come back and pick it up they said it'd be 15 mins but I had my baby they took my insurance and license. I waited the 15 mins and they never gave my cards back I asked if I could get them the one lady didn't know they were even there the other pharmacist never told her they were there. Needless to say I waited the 15 mins and my scripts weren't even touched and she said well I'm swamped back here if that's the case don't tell people 15 mins and not even touch them and you should have given me my cards back. I will not ever go there again and not recommend them to anyone!!! read more

Wow. I just went here this morning. The woman at the counter was helping someone else so I waited. She made eye contact with me twice. She and the man she was helping walked away from the counter to my left to look at something. Meanwhile another man came in and walked right in front of me. Rude. But not the problem. The woman walked back to the counter, ignored me still waiting there and asked the man that just walked in front of me "can I help you." I turned and walked out. The pharmacist at this Pharmacy is a profiler. He profiles Young African American, Young Caucasian adults that he chooses are what ever he feels at the time. He treats people with minimum to know respect. Unless your an older person or a Caucasian person. I've use this Pharmacy for a year-and-a-half he's never had a real conversation with me saw him talk to every Caucasian person at the store. I've seen him talk to one older African American female in the year-and-a-half I've used this place. I understand their job to monitor but to profile people because of their race or the economical background or just because of the way they look is it abuse of power. I never had a problem with this man until I grew my beard. He no longer recognize me then question me every time I came in too get my script filled. Lied to me twice and said he didn't have my prescription. One time he even told me he was running low on my script said he doesn't recognize my face so he can help me. That was 2 month in my beard growing and he just been getting worse and worse as the months went on. Till he flat out lied to my face. I'm 38 years old and I totally forgot what being discriminated against felt like until today. read more

I did not have a good experience at this pharmacy. I just moved back here from VA and I have a rx for a controlled substance (adderral). I explained this to the lady that helped me (in her 30's/40's?) and told her she can call the Dr or whatever they need to do since I'm new. She didn't acknowledge anything I said and seemed annoyed and said "I need your ID". Ok no problem. She then tells me to go sit on a chair at the front of the store and she'll see if she can help me. A couple minutes later I asked her if I could come back after work (I was on my lunch break) and she said "You can do what you want, but I don't know if we can help you." I said, why? Do you not have it in stock? And she said "We have it in stock, but I don't know if we can help you." I was confused and said she can call my Dr if she needs to? She was very rude and wouldn't tell me why she may not be able to help me. I asked for my ID back and without talking or acknowledging I asked for it, she walked away. I saw her photocopy my drivers license then she came back & gave it to me. She said I can call later to see if they could fill it or not. I still have no idea why they wouldn't be able to fill it if it was in stock. She was treating me like I did something wrong without any real reason for doing so. I was bothered by this all day and when I went to pick it up (because they did fill it!!) I was going to talk with her or the manager about my experience, but when I came back she was gone and a nice lady helped me and they were busy so I didn't want to hold anyone up. I gave a star back for the 2nd lady that helped me, but I will not be back to this pharmacy. read more
