Dr. Piazza and his staff have been wonderful. He performed a breast reduction and lift, an arm lift, and a 360 tummy tuck for me (2 different surgeries). I'm surprised at some of these reviews and assure you this is a very professional organization with a wonderful staff. They are pleasant, attentive, and knowledgeable. (Shout out to Kelly and Heather) I have to think based on some of these other comments that he has weeded out his staffing issues and fine tuned his practice over the years because everyone that I worked with was great. My surgeries were very good and although I had a few healing issues, it had nothing to do with them and more to do with my weird body reacting strangely and me not adhering 100% to instructions. I have also been using their med spa and have been very pleased. I've had a couple of BBL and Moxie laser treatments and its been more effective than anything else I've tried. I have some dark spots that I've been trying to get rid of for 10 years and now they are almost gone. (Thanks Kari). Wish I could give this practice zero stars! Dr. Piazza performed my BA in 2015. My follow-up care was pretty much non existent even though they bragged about patient after care being one of their top priorities which was a big selling point during my consult. In fact, I had to call them to schedule my pre op check up and then never even heard back from anyone to schedule the additional follow-up appointments that were supposed to happen. Several weeks post op, I developed pretty bad "double bubble" on my left side and when I brought it to Dr.Piazza's attention, he wanted to charge me for a full corrective surgery just weeks after having my first BA when clearly it was caused by surgical error. I would never recommend this practice to anyone. I'm sure there are many positive patient experiences but in the case something doesn't go right, good luck! Based on my experience, he not only made me feel like it was my fault but he also demonstrated poor ethics by taking my money and ghosting me like I was no longer a patient. read more

Warning- this post is a long one but if you're considering having an invasive procedure done here it will be worth your while so you are not scammed out of thousands of dollars and burdened with emotional trauma. I came to Dr. Piazza for a breast reduction after I tried for 6 months to get it covered by insurance with no luck. He had done my friends reconstruction surgery and her size was perfect so I went with him even though he was nearly $4,000 more expensive than the surgeon I had initially seen when I was trying to get it covered. I wanted one and done - boy was I wrong! Dr. Piazza said everything I wanted to hear but had no intention of giving me what we had agreed to. I had dealt with pain from my size 32F breasts for 15 years. I used to go to chiropractors and do yoga for pain management but it wasn't really helping as much now that I was in my 30's. I wanted to go from an F to a C. Dr Piazza said that "was perfectly doable. It's when people want to go smaller like a B or an A that it becomes an issue." Day of the surgery I waited for hours. Dr Piazza finally came to see me and apologized for the delay- they were running behind because his previous patient needed larger implants than thought and they had to send out for more. He then asked "what size did you want to be again?" That should have frightened me but I didn't think anything of it. After my surgery I was still huge but wrote it off as swelling. Turns out, Dr. Piazza only took out 100 grams from one and 150 grams from the other which he should have taken out somewhere between 350-450 grams each. During my post op, I was still wearing my original bra. These post op visits were recorded with my permission and I have them for you to listen to so that you can fully be aware of how well Dr. Piazza treats his patients after he's taken their money. Some highlights of the recordings are Dr. Piazza saying that "he's in the aesthetics business and this size was better suited on my body." And yelling at me after I said we had agreed on a Size C "I don't do mastectomies!"  He falsified my medical documents which I have turned in evidence of to the Texas Medical Board. I have gone to Dr. Piazza for two previous procedures & have been extremely pleased. He is professional & thorough and never makes me feel rushed. I have an upcoming procedure there with Dr. Antunes soon and was in the office for a hydro facial and didn't have an appointment to see him. He noticed me in the waiting room & asked to see me for a short consultation & wanted to see if I had any concerns or questions about my upcoming surgery. He explained in detail what I can expect and told me to call back if I have any more questions. What doctor does that when you don't even have an appointment? The entire staff there arvery nice & accommodating and Jennifer always takes my calls when I need anything. The surgical nurse, Heather, is the best-she calms my nerves & I know I'm in good hands when she's involved. There may be cheaper places around, but I believe you get what you pay for. It's been a year since my brow, neck & lower facelift and I couldn't be happier with the results. Dr. Antunes has recently done some follow up laser above my lip & also improved some brown spots I had on my cheek. His work is amazing, and he always follows up with me, even e mailing and asking for a picture so he can see the progression of my healing through this Coronavirus quarantine. I originally went here for Halo laser treatment because I researched it could help with melasma. Not being the expert, I didn't realize that lasers aren't generally good for treating melasma/hyperpigmentation on those with dark skin (as an esthetician friend said after the fact, "It's melasma 101--heat exacerbates it"). During the consultation, the esthetician (who seemed kind of airheadish) told me that she thought it best to get 2 Halos at a lower intensity than 1 because the regular intensity could make my melasma worse. She made it sound like with 2 Halos, there was a SLIGHT possibility it might not get better, but certainly that it wouldn't get worse. Turns out, my melasma got much worse and appeared in areas where it hadn't been before. I feel like they just went with what I was asking for and didn't recommend something more appropriate despite knowing it wasn't good for me in particular simply because it's a more expensive treatment option. They take subcutaneous pictures analyzing 6 different aspects of the skin pre- and post-treatment, and even the pictures showed my skin had gotten worse in 5 of the 6 areas, so it wasn't just my opinion. A few weeks after, I emailed the practice asking for Dr. Piazza's email address. This wasn't to be a "Karen" and complain, I just simply wanted to ask the owner of the practice what his advice on next steps should be. I guess they thought maybe I was going to complain because the esthetician who did my treatment called asking me to come in for a meeting with her, the head esthetician, and the doctor. When I got there, the doctor came in for about 2 minutes and said they had put together a good plan to go forward with and the estheticians would explain it to me. They walked out with him and came back after 5 minutes, and the one who had done my treatment said she was wanting to give me 2 microneedling treatments on the house since the Halos didn't work, but the doctor said to go ahead and give me 3 treatments. I scheduled the first one, and while I was in the office for it, a new head esthetician was making conversation with me and said, "So I heard we are comping this microneedling session for you." I said that I was actually told I was going to be getting 3 of them comped. The next day, I received a call from that new head esthetician stating that they were not giving me 3 comped micro-needling sessions but they would go ahead and do a chemical peel for me for free. I'm writing this review because first, I feel like the esthetician should have recommended something more appropriate for my skin than Halo even though it would not have been as much revenue for the practice, and second, that they should have honored the 3 free micro-needling sessions as they promised. I couldn't argue with them about it, though, because I had no proof that they offered 3 free ones to me. I didn't record the conversation because I didn't think I needed to. read more

I am extremely happy with the results of my eye job/brow lift! I chose Dr. Antunes after a few consults with other doctors. I liked his calm demeanor, thorough explanation of all procedures, and the fact that he only works on faces. I felt even better when I was in the surgery center, pre-op, and three of the women who were checking me in and working directly with Dr. Antunes in the operating room were also having procedures done by him. He also has a great team at his plastic surgery office and at the surgery center. They provided everything I needed before my surgery such as vitamins to prescriptions to scar cream. My favorite part was waking up after surgery in PACU and his team gave me a goody bag to take home with fuzzy socks, jingle bells for my caretaker to hear me, post card instructions, and a thank you card from the team. These are great people!!! I am a local firefighter and contacted the office after getting a pretty bad cut on my chin, the ER closed it with 10 stitches and did a terrible job leaving me with what would be a really bad scar! After calling several doctors the Piazza Center were the only ones that would actually listen to my concern. Dr. P called me himself and asked me to come in for a consult that was at no charge. I went in to the consult with a gross scar 10 days after my injury, it was raised 3mm and distracting to say the least. At the consult Dr. P listened to my concerns, he saw that this was more than just about aesthetics. He looked at his watch (11:45am) and asked the nurse if there was a little extra time between patients so he could fix it immediately. I walked in for a consult and walked out with 30 minutes later with my chin fixed! This was the second time I had it stitched up in 10 days and let me tell you, the care I received was on another level! Dr. P explained every single detail of what he was doing and why he was doing it, the quality of the stitches is amazing, the pain was minimal, and the result was incredible! Piazza center is basically my second home. I see Jennifer for all my skin care (hydrafacial, peels, dermaplane, and IPL), Hayley for my Botox, and Dr. Piazza for a breast lift/reduction, and lipo almost a year ago. The staff are punctual, informative, and talented. I have gone to other medspas, surgeons in the past-and in comparison this is best in class client service. Seriously, night and day. In terms of results, Hayley is a great injector... my Botox always looks great! Jennifer is super knowledgeable and always has the best follow up after my skin treatments. When I was 18, I had a boyfriend tell me I had "such a cute double chin!". Since then I've been extremely self-conscious about that area and have spent 20 years obsessing, researching and interviewing doctors to make it go away. I'm a super-control freak, and have been reluctant to let anyone cut up my face for fear of a hideous mistake like you see on those TLC shows. A few months ago, a good friend of mine sent me a text that said, "I did it!". I knew immediately what she was referring to, as she and I had discussed wanting to fix our chins for years. When I decided to pursue breast augmentation, I went online. I read reviews, and looked at tons of pictures--from surgeons in Austin, and all over the country (there are some great PS options in Vegas!), and I chose Dr. Piazza based on what I read, and what I saw. First, the gallery images on the website looked really good. One of the things I learned during the time I spent obsessively looking at pre-op/post-op pics was that a boob-job does not pretty boobs make. Wonky small boobs can become wonky bigger boobs. What stood out to me about the work showcased in the Piazza photo gallery was that the results were all good--as in, even wonky boobs looked better. The other aspect I liked was that for the most part, these augmentations looked natural. The post-op boobs could "pass" for real ones, especially under clothes. This was important to me. So I sent an email, and heard back from the doctor himself within 24 hours. Karen was pleasant when she took over the conversation to get me scheduled for a consultation. When I arrived, Karen welcomed me, and I loved her immediately. She's sweet, and always smiling. Next, I met nurse Hayley. Nurse Hayley is wonderful. She paid close attention to what I was saying, asked good questions, and really made an effort to understand what I wanted to do. Next, Dr. Piazza came in. Disclaimer: he has sparkling blue eyes that are very distracting. Just want to prepare you. We discussed again the things that nurse Hayley and I talked about, and then we went through a series of images while he discussed the potential risks and rewards of augmentation, along with a range of options to meet my desired outcome. During all this, I felt comfortable with Dr. Piazza--asking questions and getting answers, setting expectations for results. And then, with the help of nurse Hayley, we tried on boobs. That's not what they call it, but that's what it is. When I saw myself in the mirror, saw the redefined lines of my silhouette, I was stunned and thrilled. I booked my surgery that day. Just two weeks later I had my BA surgery at Seton. The entire Seton staff are beyond good. They were personable, kind, and thoughtful. Every moment I was in their hands I felt confident in their care, and they even made me laugh. I don't even know where to start on the things I love about Dr. Piazza, Hailey, Sarah, Stephanie, and every other employee I've gotten to know over the past year. I actually started out going here because of a Living Social deal that I got for laser hair removal. Stephanie is their aesthetician, and she's just precious. She always made me feel very comfortable and at home during my appointments. Quick and painless. I was very happy with the results, as well. Fast forward about 8 months and after having lost 80lbs, my breasts had done a disappearing act and in their place, I was left with what looked like a couple of tube socks hanging from my chest. I just turned 27, and after working so hard to lose weight and have my body look a certain way, it was very disappointing to look in the mirror and see breasts that I just wasn't happy with. There wasn't anything I could do diet or activity wise that would correct it so I started thinking about getting a lift and augmentation. My mom works in the medical field so I had her ask her nurses who they would recommend. They mentioned two very well-known doctors here in Austin. I went and had a consultation with one of them, and while I knew I wanted to do the procedure...I just didn't have a good feeling about doing it with that particular doctor. I waited about a month before I finally decided I'd go for a consultation at Piazza. Up until this point I'd only had contact with Stephanie and Sarah because I was just going for laser hair removal and facials. The day of my appointment, Dr. Piazza's nurse, Hailey, was on vacation, so he did my entire consultation by himself. I immediately loved him and felt at ease. He's so precious sweet and I really felt like even though we had just met, he would have my best interest at heart throughout the entire process. His consultation was much more thorough and informational than the one I had been to previously, and by the time we were finished with his diagnosis (I would need a lift + augmentation), I told him to just send me an estimate (I already knew I wanted to have him perform it) by email because my lunch hour was up! Not only was his pricing very competitive....he was willing to do the same procedure the other doctor had recommended, but in a way that I was happier with (less scaring). The entire surgery experience was wonderful. I couldn't have asked for people who were more attentive or calming at SW Seton, and as always, Dr. Piazza and Hailey were there to answer any of my questions...and I really just felt like two of my really good friends were about to be fixing my breasts. It doesn't get any better than that. There were some issues with the pharmacy I had chosen at one point (not filling my meds like they were supposed to, TWICE!), but Dr. Piazza was on the phone immediately to fix the issue. I have already been back for my post-op appointment and things are going just as planned. My breasts are BEAUTIFUL. My mom saw them in the hospital when he came in to show them to me, and she said even with the "wounds" and bruising they were already gorgeous. I finally feel like my body looks the way I wanted it to, and I wouldn't have been able to feel that way without Dr. Piazza's help. I love these guys, and while I don't plan on having any other cosmetic procedures (any time soon), I do plan on staying in touch. So pleased with this Doctor and his wonderful staff. I think all of us have come across sour medical staff most of the time we step into an office; unfortunately, in spite of the money you are paying, PS office staff are often not the exception either. Fortunately that was not the case at Dr. Piazza's! From the moment I walked in I was greeted warmly and treated respectfully throughout the entire process. One of his young female assistants was a little hard to read, but I was there to consult about a medical procedure, not make friends so who really cares. The Doctor was very thorough and spent a LOT of time with me, patiently answering questions and giving me more attention and consideration than my consultations with other Doctors. If I had concerns, he was able to provide me visible, tangible evidence or email me all kinds of medical journals and studies to read up on. What instilled most of my confidence in him was his intent to give me what I want without allowing the ideal result I imagined to work against me when applied practically. I appreciated that I felt listened to, but looked after at the same time. Although the other doctors I consulted with had more experience (don't get me wrong, Dr. Piazza still had more than enough experience for me to feel comfortable), I have cancelled my other two consultations and decided to go with him for the procedure because he was by far the most thorough and considerate. This is important to me because: 1 - In my experience, the bedside manner of the doctor dictates the quality of handling any complications or questions after the procedure. You should never feel like you have to jump through hoops with your doctor! 2 - Surgery is scary and I want to be seen as a human being! Not just a number. I hate being temporarily out of control under anesthesia so trust is KEY. Its also worth mentioning that I was fairly pleased once I received the quote for my procedure. Dr. Piazza and his staff are truly experts in their field. I had been wanting and considering a breast augmentation for years, but it wasn't until I got engaged that I realized how important it was to me to do it now. After a good deal of research online for the best cosmetic surgeons in Austin, I ended up scheduling a consultation here and at another central Austin practice. My consult at the other practice was scheduled first and I left feeling really happy with what I heard and excited about pursuing the surgery. The other place seemed great until I had my consultation with Dr. Piazza. His technical knowledge and attention to detail far surpassed that of the other doctor I met with. He took detailed measurements of my current breast size (the other doctor didn't take any) and listened intently to what my vision was for my ideal breasts. He made recommendations based on my desired outcome (which were quite different than the recommendations from the other office.) He answered all of my and my fiancé's questions about the procedure and outcome and explained everything in great detail. Dr. Piazza took all the time we needed and never appeared to be in a rush. He was equally thorough and caring throughout the entire process; from surgery day to every post-op appointment. Not only that, but he is truly an artist. The result is exactly what I wanted; fuller and more proportionate breasts that still look natural. All of my friends agree that he did an amazing job. I went to Dr. Piazza for a tummy tuck revision. I had a little bit of PTSD because of my previous experience with my first TT. After my first consultation with Dr. Piazza I walked out of his office feeling confident and excited. I scheduled my revision as soon as I could. The day of my surgery I was super excited. He made sure to call my husband every step of the way to let him know how everything was going. I'm on week three post-op and I feel and look great. I'm so happy with the results. I cannot recommend Dr. Piazza enough if you are considering any kind of plastic surgery. I went in a year ago for an abdominoplasty after losing a ton of weight and being unhappy with excess skin around my midsection that just would not go away. I was up and walking around my neighborhood within days of my surgery, back at the gym in six weeks, and I was on the beach at a friend's wedding in eight. The results look great, especially one year later. If you are on the fence about going through with the procedure you've always thought about, do yourself a favor, and (at the very least) go in for a consultation. I think if you have a chance to meet the staff at Dr. Piazza's office, you will be 100% confident in their treatment program and procedure. I am more than disappointed, after traveling from Georgia to Austin specifically to receive the BOTOX treatment from Dr. Marcelo Antunes, from whom I had received the treatment in Cartersville, Georgia - with excellent results. The November 20 treatment from Dr. Antunes at the PIAZZA Center left me angry and feeling that I had literally thrown $560 away. No results at all. Nothing, and I have been receiving BOTOX for more than 20 years, so know exactly what to expect. Some days later I responded to the Piazza Center's emailed request evaluation with a "red thumbs down" (the only option given on the site), and waited to be contacted by the Center requesting details regarding my disappointment, No contact was made. Then, in December (About 10 days after responding to a Piazza Center website request for evaluation of the service I received) I wrote to the Center: "Please ask Dr. Antunes to call me regarding the results of my BOTOX treatment. I was recommended to Dr. Piazza through a family friend for my cosmetic surgery, and I couldn't be happier. Every time I have been in the office or had any communication with the staff I have been treated so well. I have been going to Dr Piazza since 2013. My first procedure was a breast lift/augmentation. I had lived with two different size breasts for years and after two kids it was time to get them corrected. I couldn't be happier with the results! I went in on a Thursday and back to work on Monday. Update. It's now been about 5 years. Full paralysis of the same area due to nerve damage from facelift. Also having been to many consults and injectors since, I learned how much they were up selling procedures that were completely useless. It's sad that I was kind and trusting and they were greedy. For goodness sakes it's peoples faces. Changed my trust and morale for the worse. They even charged me for the fillers to draw less attention to that area while the "nerve healed" as he literally promised it would. He said he had personal experience with a family member having this issue after a facelift done elsewhere and it came back in full by 3 months. Then it was 5 months. Then it was "like I said at least 6 months". Protect your face and do your homework. I was dumb and trusting. This is Only my personal opinion from my experience. I signed away my rights so I'm to blame. Every doctor I consulted subsequently said If that had happened to one their patients they would do whatever it took to fix the issue both surgically and financially. read more

Guys do get Bo-Tox and if they're going to get it done, they should go to see Hayley at Dr. Piazza's office. I don't know anywhere else in town where they photograph you before the procedure and then again afterwards. And it's not to take pictures to show off how pretty I am. It's to create a map of my face so that when the achieved results happen, they know where to use the product in the future. It's the little things that make a big difference. read more

Dr Piazza is great. I had 2 injuries that needed immediate attention. When I went to the hospital the firs time, they were not able to see me. I found the Piazza Center on my phone and they got me in right away. The scar from my split eyebrow is barely noticeable. Second time I called because of my first experience. THIS REVIEW IS LONG OVER DUE. First a little bit about me. I am 51 years old and never had any type of filler or anything else done to my face and I was not too sure what did what. I was very hesitant to get things done because I was so nervous. Therefore, I decided to make a complimentary appointment here to see what I needed. I was very comfortable and I never once felt like I was forced or to get stuff done or were they pushy into trying to sell me things. I ended up having some fillers and injections done by Hayley about a month later. While having these fillers done, I got to find out a little bit about Hayley and I was thoroughly impressed. Being in the medical field myself, I was really impressed how many seminars and training classes that Hayley takes. She takes many different session by many different high notched plastic surgeons from all over the world. She then gathers all the information and uses what works best for each patient. Anyway, the next day after the injections I was going on a cruise. Therefore, I was extremely nervous about how I am going to look and the bruising. For one, I did not have any bruising. Two I looked awesome. When I went backed to work after the cruise, I was interested on what my co-workers were going to say to me since they see me a lot and I did not tell them I was getting anything done. All my co-workers kept on looking at me and was telling me I looked so good and that I had a glow to me. Then my co-workers asked if I cut my hair or colored it. Dr. Piazza just performed a blepharoplasty (removal of excess skin) on my upper eyelids this past Tuesday. I still have the stitches in and there is a bit of bruising and swelling. I am using tucks pads, ice compress and homeopathic medicine to combat the swelling and bruising and so far it looks great! Thank GOD because I have an event next Friday! This is such a great, cost effective procedure that takes off years and gives you that wide-eyed, fresh youthfulness. I do use Juvederm under my eyes to fill out the dark, hollowed areas every 6 months or so. Combine that with botox and I'm set without having to spend a ton of money or considerable down time. Dr. Piazza and his staff are absolutely brilliant. I cannot recommend them enough. P.S. I have been going to Dr. Piazza for the past year or more for chemical peels. I had some brown age spots and a large birth mark show up on my forehead and set up a consultation. I immediately started peels and using their skin care and it looks AMAZING! I do not even have to wear makeup any longer because the spots have dramatically faded. I enjoy coming in for my appointments with Samantha and the entire office staff makes you feel so comfortable. I went to the Piazza Center to help get rid of sun spots on my face. I did everything that they said. I had a chemical peel, bought all their products that would "help" and then I purchased their IPL laser treatment that they said was my best option. Nope didn't work! None of it did. Now instead of refunding me like they should, they are giving me some more products that don't do anything. This place is just about taking your money. They don't care what your face looks like. I can't thank Dr. Piazza, Hayley and the staff at Piazza Center for Plastic Surgery for always taking such great care of me! I've been a few times for minor skin care needs and decided I would look into a more long term solution to improve my appearance. At 30 years old and being a male it was important to me not to change my appearance drastically. I'm very athletic and as most guys with high metabolisms know, you age a lot more quickly in your face. Having discussed my goals with Dr. Piazza and Hayley Ruegg we decided the best course of action would be Botox and a filler made by Juvederm called Voluma. During the consult Hayley was very attentive to what I was hoping to achieve, giving thoughtful feedback and a range of options with a little background to inform me of any pros and cons. I felt like she was extremely respectful of my concerns yet very thorough, something I've experienced before and why I keep going back. I truly trust Hayley and Dr. Piazza, I've had bad experiences with other plastic surgeons and cosmetic dermatologists recommending much more expensive solutions and making recommendations very quickly without taking into consideration what was really important to me. I had very little bruising and can't believe the results, it's above and beyond what I expected. I've recieved compliments but it's subtle enough that people can't quite put their finger on why I look better...exactly what I was hoping!
