Surreal experience at Somers Point tonight... disgusting. Came to your establishment for the first time after hearing amazing things- only to be left disappointed and pissed off. It's the summer time- bars do not close until 2am and your bar shows that it is opened until 2 am. We arrived at 12am on the dot for a 21st birthday with a crowd of 15 plus people and were turned away saying you were doing last call shortly. The bartenders were extremely rude and had no interest in serving us at all. Every drink/shot we asked for to celebrate our friends 21st were denied because they had "already put them away." Why would you put away drinks bottles before you even did last call? The bar was still full with other people, did you not want to make money? As a bartender who has been in the industry for 8 plus years I've never experienced such poor service and disrespect. read more

I was very disappointed with this place. There was nobody to greet you when you walk in. I went to sit in a shaded area with my wife and was told that was a VIP section and I would have to pay $65 an hour to sit there. Then we walked up to one of the bars, which had a nice shaded canopy over it, however we were told we could not eat at the bar, just drink. So then we sat at the pub tables, which had no shade obviously. Got our$ 9 and $10 drinks, which did not taste like it had one drop of alcohol in it. The meals were suppose to come with homemade chips, however we were given french fries instead and told they were out of the homemade chips. We asked if we could order another side of fries and we were told "No because it's not an item that is normally on the menu." Are you kidding me!!!! And to add insult to injury, while we are sweating and eating our meal, I look over at the bar and notice another couple eating. When I asked my waiter how that couple was allowed to eat at the bar, he could not provide an answer. The place is unorganized and well overpriced and the food isn't that good. Will never be back. Ok my prediction about Baia going out of business 3 yrs ago came true. But I didn't know they would raze the joint to the ground and turn it into a beach! My entire family visits the beach every summer since all of our kids were babies. We decided to ditch the kids for an adult night out for the first time in 13 years. The atmosphere was fun and relaxing. The live music was enjoyable and the service was better than I expected but still not great. I was surprised when I walked in that there were children everywhere. After we got drinks we walked around trying to find a game to play. They were all occupied by kids. At one point, there were kids playing ladder ball across the walkway and many of the kids seemed to be unsupervised. I did look on the website and noticed that Saturday and sundays they have age restrictions after a certain time but I won't be returning any time there are no age restrictions. read more

Very cute and fun outdoor tiki bar!! The tables are seat yourself and get competitive (people literally will watch you eat and race to your table when you're done) but fun place for a friend group! Very happening place at night but more so for a youngerish crowd. There's a live band, drinks and food are very reasonably priced and the venue is really big. Be sure to wear flip flops!!! read more

Ordered food from the bartender and 30 minutes goes by so I ask what's up and he says "oh we stopped serving food an hour ago" never to be refunded our 30 dollars for our food! Called back to see why the money was never refunded and they were absolutely no help. read more

TL;DR: Bouncers were way too aggressive and would not just leave us alone. Kitchen could not stop making mistakes as well, leading to at least 15 minutes of confusion and extra waiting time for more food to be prepared. Waitress was actually amazing though and the atmosphere was cool. Immediately upon arriving, we had to go through the bouncer to get the appropriately colored wristband (indicating if we can drink alcohol or not and if we can stay past 6.) That would have been fine and easy if he wasn't so gruff and rude (I know bouncers have to be a little gruff sometimes, but politeness would have been much more suited towards this situation since everyone was allowed in regardless of age.) We were a large group so some of us were under 21 or didn't have IDs and when we said we didn't have IDs, the bouncer was irritated with us. On top of that, I think he tried to make a joke to one of the older people in our group to the effect of "Are you sure this is you?" but he said it in a serious tone and she just did not know how to respond. We were then brought to our table and the atmosphere was actually quite nice. The waitress was nice and the online menus worked well for us. We ordered our drinks (but some people just wanted water, which they charge for, which they are allowed to, but personally I just think restaurants should be willing to provide water to patrons for free.) Then, we ordered our food and everything was shaping up. But then, the food came out in paper bags (because of the pandemic) in cardboard boxes. The only thing was the boxes were not labeled so we had to have someone open each box and look inside to see what was in it, effectively defeating the purpose of reducing contact. But wait, it gets better! The boxes also did not have the correct food or were mixed! Someone order a cheese steak with onions and got a GRILLED CHEESE with onions! Someone else's sandwich order was also incorrect and had to be sent back. Then, the tacos came and were just in the boxes without much thought given to organization. The orders were all mixed with some boxes having extra tacos and others having not enough. Checking which tacos were which was also rather challenging since we were trying not to touch them. It was the equivalent of going to any other restaurant and everyone's food being on different plates. Seriously terrible, it took at least 15 minutes to sort everything out. I do want to mention the waitress was fantastic. She definitely got the order right and the kitchen just did a supreme job messing everything up. She did a good job at damage control and was the only saving grace of the experience. Well, we were done eating and just waiting for the check. At 5:55, we were standing around our table (so it should have been obvious we were getting ready to leave) and a bouncer come to our table and tell us the people with red wristbands have to leave soon. Thanks, but we already knew that and are just waiting for the check. Then, we get the checks and are waiting again for them to come back. At 6:03, they come over AGAIN! As if we didn't already know, we saw the signs and heard you before. We were not out yet because they didn't bring the checks! Terrible way to run a restaurant. read more

Well the ice is nice the sand feels good on your feet however they charge you 65.00 an hour to sit in their reserved seats. The atmosphere is a 10. Drink prices are decent for the shore, you won't go broke. The food and service is average at best. They definitely not gonna win you on the food. Don't go hungry or expecting something that will wow you. It's not Steve n Cookies, Tomatoes or Angelos. Your there for ambiance. Think the biggest problem is the parents who wanna go drink for the day bring the kids and they run around like it's a park. Very cool space.. service, however, was lacking. The menu lists a fresh strawberry drink with vodka and muddled strawberries and a splash of club. It sounded delicious and had no added sugar/juice etc. The bartender was clearly too lazy to make the drink (it was not busy) and instead gave me a pre made strawberry juice from a carton with vodka and club. I could see the container of fresh strawberries sitting there, but he didn't even bother to throw one in the "fresh muddled strawberry" drink. Then charged me almost $10 for it. Gross and disappointing - would have ordered something else if he couldn't be bothered to muddle a strawberry or two! Otherwise seating is a bit chaotic and serving staff don't seem to know who sat where or when which can leave you waiting for some time. read more

This place is completely trash. The drinks are so weak I pay 10 dollars and can't even taste the alcohol and they expect you to pay 4 dollars to add a shot to it. Music is way to loud can't even hear a convo with a person next to each other. Service sucks. Wednesday night first time back this year. We love them ambiance. Food is ok drinks little expensive. Service was A+. Samantha was our server, so friendly. Could be 4 maybe 5 if the 20-30yr olds would behave. That was one reason we left 9:30. 2nd since when does a bar hire a minister to talk spiritually to people while they are having drinks and eating. We didn't need anyone buying us drinks and telling us about God. Please relay message to Larry/Lawrence as he likes to be called. We could careless about buildings in Somers point he's buying. Growing up in Somers Point. Our family owns few properties in and around the area. I took it upon myself to call people I know. This guy is full of shit and hope it's not true that he's buying 25% of the point. After talking with this character we all wanted to jump in bay. Family and I went here for a few drinks and food after a beach day to hear the band. They charged us $5 cover to get in and sat us all the way in the far back corner next to the disgusting bathrooms where we could not even see the band playing and once we sat down the band was done. We ordered food and it came to us ice cold and wrong. Orders were missing items that were added on and one order was missing entirely. After everyone else finished eating We asked if the missing order was still coming and the waitress said that they couldn't make the meal anymore and asked if we would like something else. The person decided to go with another option. Waiting again for the food and the waitress says she found the missing food item in the kitchen, of course it was ice cold too. When we asked for the bill we were charged for all the additional items that we didn't get with our meals, charged us for the missing item that she brought out over an hour later that she "found in the kitchen" and also still charged us for the item we ordered to replace the missing item (that we wound up not getting either). When we brought this to the waitress attention in total $40!wound up being taken off. All after having to pay to get in to begin with. Very disappointed, place seemed like it would be such an awesome hangout place and it was just a bad experience. read more

Great idea although I believe ThePoint Tiki Bar falls short. Food is ok however you are really going there for a cocktail and enjoying the water view. Biggest issue was that on Friday night, about 20 minutes upon completion of our dinner, we were finishing our cocktails when the floor manager (I think it was Paul) asked us how everything was tonight and then proceeded to essentially tell us to vacate the table as he had over 50 people waiting for tables. First time that has ever happened to us and was disappointed. We planned to continue drinking however we instead left and went to the Anchorage Tavern. This is all in the backdrop of little kids playing in the sand area with their trucks and other games. Not the atmosphere I would expect at a bar and if I wanted to be near little ones I could have just stayed home.
