Germantown has a lot of late night bars and this is one of them top of the list. This is probably the young crowd bar spot we went at 11PM and the bar was full on Thursday night which is quite surprising but everyone were friendly. Being from East coast I didn't really believe the menu which said NewYork style pizza but hell yeah their pizza is soo good it's better than many NewYork pizzas. They gave us a huge slice of cheese pizza for 3$ which is great. Affordable and cheap eats after drinks. Our bartender Emily she was very warm welcoming and she made sure that we were comfortable. A friend took us here, surprised it was open later on a Sunday night, but that was greatly appreciated. It's cozy inside, small but the four of us had room. We ordered the lone wolf, and the liberty bell. They didn't take too long to get to us. Waiter came to fill our glasses every so often, he was very nice. I don't usually like liquid cheese but the liberty bell was really good, steak was good too. Lone wolf was very good, more like a pizza I'd regularly get. FINALLY! I've been wanting to grab a "slice of the day" for lunch for quite sometime, but for some reason I have only thought about it on Tuesdays. That poses a problem because The Post is closed on Tuesday. This week, I finally had the craving on a Monday. I called first to see what their slice of the day was and it was a jalapeno bacon pizza. BINGO! I headed down there around 11:20 am since I have read on a lot of the reviews that they usually have a crowd. There weren't many people there and I got the slice within about 5 minutes and headed back to work. The slice is just in between two paper plates in a paper bag so it can get messy and leak through the bag so be careful if you get carryout. That's my only complaint though. The pizza slice was phenomenal and also as big as my head. You would never need more than one slice of pizza from there. And for only $4, you can't beat it. read more

I live right around the corner so I visit this place often. Yesterday was the first time I ordered carry-out so I thought I should update this review to reflect that experience. I wasn't sure how carry-out pizza from here would turn out. It was great! I ordered a 16 inch pepperoni along with a 16 inch South Pacific pizza. The South Pacific has a garlic olive oil base, ham, bacon, pineapple, onion, roasted red peppers, & sweet chili drizzle! It might be my new favorite. The carry-out experience went well. After having the South Pacific, I don't think I'll ever order pepperoni pizza from here when I order whole pies. The slices are still huge when ordering a whole pie, but when ordering an entire pie I prefer to eat these large slices without folding them. Oh, The Post how I appreciate you. Given everything going on with COVID-19, the Post is only open for take out. They are not open for dine in seating. I truly appreciate this because it helps keep patrons and employees safe. They are continuing to provide delicious and tasty pizzas that are worth bringing home and eating and enjoying. They have a new online platform which allows you to order directly from their website and provide you a good time frame of when your phone will be ready. You also include what your car looks like so that way when you arrive at the Post they can identify you and your order. They have made this process streamlined and easy. Our first foray into the online ordering came with the July pizza of the month pickle pizza. It was amazingly delicious. I can't wait to order the next piece of the month. And I'm so thankful for the adaptations that have been made for us to continue to enjoy The Post during COVID-19. read more

After several attempts to try out The Post back when it opened, I finally managed to get over there for a meal. Boy, was I happy that I did! I've been following the restaurant on Facebook for a while which allows me to see the special slice of the day and gives me updates on other daily specials. FB told me that on that night they were extending happy hour prices for the duration of the UofL game. They had numerous beers and a cider on tap as well as bottles and wine. I opted for a pint of Angry Orchard (only $5) and my friend went with a Pinot Grigio (also just five bucks). Being ravenous, I started out with a small, house salad. Nothing about this salad was small, a heaping pile of mixed greens with onion, tomato, shredded cheese, and homemade croutons overflowed from the bowl. The Post makes several of salad dressings in-house including a chunky, blue cheese and ranch. I tried the blue cheese, which had a nice spicy edge to it. Being a dressing junkie, I also asked for the ranch. It was wonderfully creamy with the perfect blend of seasoning. I had seen on FB that the slice of the day was artichoke, spinach, and red onion on a garlic and olive oil base -yum! My friend and I both ordered a slice. It came out on a pizza tray and was bigger than my purse, no joke. In fact, it was too large for the traditional fold and eat method. I had to resort to cutting it down a bit before I could wrangle it with two hands. What a bargain at $4! Do yourself a favor and go to The Post ASAP! Looking for dinner at 7pm on a Sunday is almost impossible to find. During the quarantine we saw several pictures from this place. We gave them a call and ordered a cheese calzone, breadsticks and a small allies pizza. We got there early and the parking lot was hopping! Those lady's had it down. The Calzone was so heavy! Full of cheesy-goodness. The crust or handle was just as tasty! The breadsticks were ok. We didn't need them we had enough food with the pizza and calzone but didn't know that ahead of time. While waiting someone suggested beer cheese to us on fb. We added one of those too. The allies is a meat pizza. We got a small and it was hot and fresh. The crust was real good. The cup of marina sauce smelled so good. We didn't know the beer cheese was cold - that was different. We aren't fans of that so we didn't like it but if you like beer cheese cold them you'll probably love it. He did warm it up and try it but it just wasn't our taste. The Post has been one of our go-to restaurants during the pandemic. I would guess we make the trip to The Post once a month. Their curbside service is great. Their pizzas have remained our favorite in the Louisville area. Yesterday we had lunch at The Post. My wife stayed with her favorite, pizza. She loved it as always. Unfortunately, I decided to go off script and ordered an Italian Sub. I almost didn't order it due to during their limited menu, you cannot order a half sub, you must order a whole sub ($12). I thought I'd just eat one half and take the other half home. Well, the sandwich was so salty, it actually burned the back of my throat. I forced myself to get through the first half. The Post is a very solid pizza option in Louisville. It was the first stop in our vacation to Lousiville. We did a lot of research on pizza places before we went and the Post mostly lived up to them. I've had slices all along the East Coast and the Post's kinda didn't stand out. Again, don't get me wrong, it's a solid slice that I'd eat any day of the week, but don't make a trip out of it. My husband and I came here for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Even though it was about 2 PM there was still a decent crowd. We sat at the bar - they have purse hooks under the bar which is a small but nice feature. My husband had the slice of the day and a pepperoni slice plus 2 beers and I had a half ham & cheese sandwich and glass of the red blend (7 moons, $6, and very good!). Our total bill pre tip was a little over $30, which wasn't bad at all. The food came out hot. The sandwich was very big and the bottom was too hot for me to hold; it took a good amount of time (my husband finished his first very large slice as reference) to get someone's attention to get some cutlery so I could eat the sandwich which was the only negative of the experience (I understand though that they may be understaffed like many other restaurants due to the pandemic). Really weird place. Walked in and the host didn't acknowledge us for about 45 seconds and then asked what he could do for us. I paused, kind of confused by the question, and asked for a table for two. He pointed us in the direction of a table and let us seat ourselves. There were no menus at the table and no visible waiters or waitresses walking around. After 10ish minutes someone brought us menus and took our orders. I used to like coming here with my friend after band practice to get cheap slice of pizza and hangout a bit. I would always get a side of jalapeños because I like the spice and sometimes a side of ranch. Usually it would run a little over 5 dollars which was nice because I'm a poor college student and like to leave a decent tip. Today I was charged $1.75 for roughly 10 pickled jalapeños and $.75 for ranch which was quite an up charge. I could understand $.75 for jalapeños but that extra dollar was not cool. I almost didn't leave a tip considering I try to keep it at about 6-7 dollars. The total came to $8 with tip which was far too much for a single slice of cheese pizza and also less than what I normally would have given the server. I have tried a lot of local pizza joints in Louisville but the Post has been on my to-do list for awhile now. My friend Laura and I planned a lunch date and decided to come here on a whim and I'm pretty glad we did! Let me just dive right in- the South Pacific pizza is currently my favorite pizza on the planet. For real. My first bite of it was literally an explosion of flavor and I knew right then that it was the pizza for me. The Lone Wolf, in theory, is a pizza I would've liked better than the South Pacific. It was a sort of combination pizza with all the typical pizza toppings you could think of... but I did not. That's not to say that it wasn't good- it was great! But it was missing something for me. I thought it might be a more whole pizza experience for me if I dipped it in ranch. However, the South Pacific didn't need a thing. It was absolutely perfect the way it was with the ham, bacon, pineapple, red onion, red pepper, and the sweet chili glaze. The glaze was my favorite part. It got on my clothes and made my fingers super sticky, but I didn't mind. The cheese bread was also to die for. Super crunchy with gooey cheese and served with a little baby side cup of their delicious marinara. Oh yeah, did I mention that they have Ale 8 here? THEY DOOOO! I loved having my favorite local soft drink with my delicious pizza that I was having an out of body experience. Well, not really...but it was still really awesome!
