For far too long, I thought it was okay to give away as much as I could, regardless of my costs, both physically and mentally. I learned the importance of health and wellbeing for myself and that it is not selfish to put myself first, in order for important aspects in my life including relationships with friends, family, and God to thrive. From the retreat, I am able to take away tools to communicate with my husband verbally, ways to share our passions and support each other's dreams while not sacrificing our own.
