One pea held a surprised birthday get together for the other pea. The atmosphere was okay, the pieces were reasonably priced. We were given 1 hr 30 mins but were told our time was up before the 30 mins. Turns out it was booked incorrectly by an employee on the phone, they allowed us our 30 mins. Only thing to keep in mind is to make sure you pick a piece you can finish in the time frame given for your party . No refreshments provided in house, no fridge space for cake. Was told their fridge is too small( but they still held it for me). Just be prepared with all your party necessities and not slack like this pea did. I came across Pottery Piazza by chance and was so happy I did. There is a large selection of projects. The staff is friendly and helpful. Each project also comes with a suggested paint, but painters are free to use their own creativity too. The store is BYOB, so we had snacks and wine too! The only issue was wr went in a weekend, and there was a wait because it was busy! I am unsure if there is a reservation option. Walk-Ins welcome, but we did have to wait like an hour. We loved our final projects and will definitely be back for more creations! read more

Very fun "pick and paint". We went for their Saturday date night. $8 per person for unlimited paint time. They have a way of items that vary in price and you get to select your paints. The offer bring your own food and drink, which is great. Great setting, plenty of tables, helpful staff, a variety of awesome pieces to paint & they play music while you relax. I went here for the after-hours date night, and I loved the experience! My partner and I painted for around 2 and a half hours and were able to enjoy each other's company in a quiet, relaxing area. There were plenty of pieces to choose from with lots of color options. The employees there were knowledgeable, and I felt comfortable asking for advice to make my piece look the best it could possibly look. One tiny complaint is that the event was "date night" themed but a lot of the songs playing over the speaker were break up and heart break related... I don't know if the employees control the music, but it made my partner and I laugh a little knowing that most of the people there were couples. Fantastic place to paint pottery or "do ceramics" as everyone over 55 tells me it's actually called, they also have mosaic making, and pottery throwing classes. They do themed nights, we have attended the Harry Potter one and it was jam packed crowded but absolutely AMAZING, they also have girls night out nights. It's byob or food which is fun, and $10 per person to paint which is walk in friendly, they do unlimited colors to use and have a plethora of the fine tip painters to use. For three people to each do a piece of their choosing plus paint time we usually run about $100, you pick up your glazed piece in a week. They also have those old fashioned trees you can paint with the lights that light up for Christmas. read more

Very fun way to spend a few hours. You choose a piece of pottery to paint; bowl, mug, plate, whimsical bank etc. Choose almost any glaze colors you want. You can BYOB and food while you hang out and work on your project. My only negative is that the cost of items is higher than what they must pay to purchase it from the catalog. read more

Great place for an afternoon out with friends! I visited with a group of friends a few weeks back as we were looking for a unique activity to do together. We pretty much had the whole place to ourselves - I'm not sure whether or not that's typical, but I'm pretty sure it was a Sunday afternoon so that could be part of it. They have a huge variety of pieces to paint. I wanted to paint a spoonrest and wasn't even sure that would be an option, but they had three choices that I saw, and all very different from each other! The number of options is great and really allows you to get creative. Paint color options are good, too. The paint looks different when it's in the bottle versus when it's glazed on the piece of pottery, so I really appreciated that they had a little square pottery swatch next to each color showing what it would actually look like when completed. They have a number of stencils available, as well (recommend drawing on with a pencil and then filling in with paint, rather than trying to paint directly over the stencil). We were given a brief overview (pick your piece of pottery, price includes firing, pay additional based on how much time you spend there, recommendation to use two coats, etc.), and then were pretty much left alone, although the staff was very accessible and willing to assist when we had questions. It's a BYOB establishment, which is always one of my favorite types of places! We paid at the end and were told we could pick up our pieces in a week. They all came out great! I'd definitely recommend this as a fun activity if you're looking for something different to do - less regimented than a paint nite, yet still a way to go home with a nice piece of art that can have some functional use (I use my spoonrest every day) and a perfect activity to do by yourself or with a group. read more

Compared to the pottery place we regularly go to, this one had some perks. They have a fantastic selection of pottery. The space is also very big. The place we frequent has pretty cramped tables. This location had tons of space, a lot of tables, and a back room for parties. It was nicely decorated and had great music and friendly staff. We went for the Saturday special of a max 8 buck sitting fee. This place seems to allow food and drink like other spots we've been to, which is nice if you want to bring wine, hot chocolate, or a picnic dinner, or Chinese from a few doors down as we saw one couple do. If there was a half star option I would really give the Pottery Piazza 3.5 stars. Having had a similar pottery painting experience before I would say that the Pottery Piazza is superior in terms of the sheer variety of supplies at the customer's disposal. There are lots of pieces to choose from and just about every color paint you can imagine. The problem with the Pottery Piazza is that it's family friendly but not at the same time. I'm a bit weird about personal space so I don't really like how the tables are arranged. If you're an adult, painting can be a great way to clear your head and relax. You would therefore probably be annoyed if you were seated right next to a family with kids. On the other hand if you are a parent who is there with your child you are going to feel a lot of angst trying to make sure they're not bothering anyone both in terms of their messiness and noise level. I am a parent but I think there is something to be said for having separate adult and child areas at a place like this. It makes for a more optimal experience for everyone. Things like booster seats and smocks would enhance how family friendly it is for parents of small children and promotions like a BYO wine/beer would signal the more adult oriented blocks of time. Finally, while I understand that it gets very busy, I'm all about instant gratification so I do wish there was a way to get your pieces the same day. I understand that that's asking too much however. As an aside I think it would also be helpful if they had a more rehearsed song and dance to explain the fine print to coupon customers as soon as you walk in, and before you have picked any pieces out. Something really straightforward letting you know which paints to use, the minimum value of the pieces that you may choose from and how long you can paint for. There was a really sweet young lady who cautiously attempted to explain the whole set up. I'm guessing they've had a hard time with Groupon customers in the past but all of that trepidation, hovering and hand wringing irked me. Spit it out already! Overall a fun experience and we will definitely return and recommend to others. read more

My only suggestions would be if the staff was a little more involved in helping/suggesting. Also, for a painting place I was very surprised they didn't have aprons! Went there using a Group I had purchased. The prices are very high even using the groupon. For two of us painting 2 small pieces each it was around $75 even with the Groupon. One of the cheapest things in the store was a shot glass for $8 and the items went up to over $100. I'd say the average piece was around $20. Besides the prices, the staff was overly friendly to the point that it felt very superficial and was very annoying. They were constantly bugging you about how it was going and how great your piece looked. Beyond that, they were constantly annoying you by asking if they could take the paint bottles back when it says feel free to bring them to the table. Overall they just nag you to death and it did not make a pleasant experience. I think it's a great concept but it can be done in a much better way and needs a lot of work. Overall, I would not recommend it; save your money and take it elsewhere as it'll go much further and the staff will treat you in a much better manner. read more

YEAH!! Love love love this place! I took my friend here to celebrate her birthday this past weekend and we both had a splendid experience! Friendly and helpful staff, shelf upon shelf of plain creations to choose from and option to BYOB/ food!!! I brought a bottle of wine and a light snack and we both created Day of the Dead style designs on our pottery! I picked a complicated design so it took me about 2 hours to draw my design on the pottery and then outline and paint it but my friend picked a simpler option and was done a lot faster than I was. It takes about a week for them to glaze so you won't be able to take home your piece that night but it gives you something to look forward to! The place is very clean, the paint selection is glorious...they even have speckled paints...as close to glitter as you can get, stencils and design ideas! They also do mosaic art if you are not feeling the pottery. I am going to make it my mission to come back AT LEAST once a quarter. read more
