Went the end of last week from out of state for a friend's wedding. The facility and staff were nice, but I was so disappointed with the services!!! Especially for the price! $83 for a mani/pedi!!! My pedi felt great, but she didn't do the best job shaping my nails and one was chipped before I left. The mani is bad, sad face-it was my first one!! The lady who did my gel mani didn't get all of my old polish off, didn't trim my nails down, she didn't even look at my nails as she was filing! I actually picked up the file and fixed the rough edges of a couple that were really bad, but my nails are still all different lengths and shapes. The paint ended up red instead of purple (which it looked on the sample), and she didn't offer to change it when I mentioned the color being weird. I realized later that it didn't even cover my whole nail and the accent dip nail was done incorrectly, so it chipped the same day. I had an updo the following day, looked nice but not worth $60...I can get my hair cut and colored for just a bit more than that back home and an updo would probably cost HALF of that. At least the stylist fixed the chipped nail then for me. Again, nice facility and staff, but very little attention to detail as far as I can tell. And absolutely ridiculous prices for that lack of attention. The group of us who went are all disappointed. I'm already looking to get my fingernails redone and it hasn't even been a week. read more

Went to the powder room for my friends wedding and was less than impressed. We had mani pedis and hair done there. My mani is OK, but not the design I wanted at all. There are also some gaps between the polish and my cuticle, but it has been several days so my nails have grown. My pedicure was wonderful until the polish. I wanted a sunflower on my big toes but the pink I chose didn't make the yellow stand out so I just got all pink. My toes look like they could use another coat and one of my big toes had some tiny chipped spots on day 1. My hair was OK, but once again it didn't match what I asked for. The girls were nice and the facility was clean and cute, but a mediocre experience for sure. read more

Parking is sometimes a little difficult due to location, but its worth it. Had a great pedicure date with my mom, even the basic pedi was a luxury experience. read more

Neither one was the best we've ever had (he had a few stragglers on his beard and I really could have used a deeper leg massage on this long road trip), but the products were high quality, the massage chairs nice, and my toes look great! read more

I visited The powder Room on several different occasions for my wedding trials. I couldn't make up my mind on my hair style - Danni and Jess were always polite and gave suggestions on what I wanted. They made my hair style look wonderful and tucked all my baby hairs in to make it smooth and sleek. I also had Barb do my nails - I loved them! They were the perfect length, angle, color and finish. I requested a matte finish and it was perfect! The Powder Room also did the spray tan. Danni was extremely professional through the procedure. She also made sure to ask if I was doing a boudoir shoot before hand, which I was, so she made suggestions on whether to be completely naked for the tan. The day of the wedding the girls delivered! They arrived early and ready to go. They made our morning run smooth and seamless and were happy to be there. I couldn't imagine choosing another salon. I found this salon by chance after seeing an ad in the newspaper. While their main specialty is nails, they also offer facials and an array of hair styling services. I have been going to Amy for about 18 months as my hair stylist. All of the hair stylists are very friendly and down to earth. They seem to have fun while at work, while still providing a high level of service. The salon is located in an older home. The main floor is the nail and facial area, while the hair salon area is upstairs. They also carry various cosmetics and other unique gifts. read more

I was in town for a wedding and had some time to kill so I walked into the Powder Room to see if I could get a pedicure. I walked right in without a reservation and they sat me in a chair right away! It was awesome! I was offered a drink right away and it was so relaxing! Barb the owner was so sweet and we talked it up and found out we were from the same town in St Louis! I first visited this salon to purchase Bumble and Bumble products they carry. I scheduled a mani/pedi to treat myself, and I'm so glad I chose The Powder Room. It' a very friendly place, and the prices are excellent. Stephanie was very attentive, and suggested a shellac manicure for only $10 more. I re-booked before leaving; not something I usually do!
