However, today I sat in the lobby for 15 min and not once did anyone come out to acknowledge I was there. The beautician was with another client but had the door open the whole time. I had an amazing experience with Alexis. I scheduled with Alexis for my next appt. I called to add something, and I'm told she won't be in that day, and they moved me to someone else. No call was ever made to me. Waxing is a very intimate interaction, so I do not take it lightly. And to be told there is no way to get Alexis because you 'aren't busy enough' and 'it's not up to her to be able to come in' is a HORRIBLE business model. Do Better. I've been going here for about 4 years and in the last couple of months they have switched waxers for my last 3 appointments without telling me. This is a personal wax and I make my appointments in advance, come on, it's common courtesy to tell clients when you change their appointment. I have to say everyone has been great that has done my waxing but it lacks respect for your clients when you don't inform them of a change. i just had to give camerin a shout out for the phenomenal work she did waxing me today. usually when i get waxed, i leave with some stubble, which i know is normal, but camerin was so thorough and took her time and i almost don't feel any stubbles left on my legs. she's truly a perfectionist bc i did underarms, stomach, brazilian, buttocks AND full legs, and after each section, she would go back in with tweezers to get any hair left. and i have to mention that her technique working in tiny sections on my brazilian ensured minimal pain. mind you, i've been waxing for 5 years, but getting your hair ripped out from the root still hurts every time lol. but she made it very bearable! it wasn't bad at all. i even complimented her during it bc i was so impressed. and i know this isn't everyone's cup of tea, but i love not talking much during my wax lol. i prefer relaxing and listening to their music with my eyes closed. and thankfully camerin could read my vibes and we had a very peaceful and quiet appointment, which i appreciated so much. it allowed me to unwind from my long week and feel pampered. she was still incredibly nice to me despite not talking much. so thank you, camerin, you're truly a master at what you do!! read more

I wasn't too happy with customer service. Made an appointment on the phone a week in advance. Whoever I talked to (Thursday afternoon) must not have written me down as the front desk didn't have my information. They put the blame on me and said I probably called the wrong location or wrong business completely. I showed them my phone records and had to make another appointment for half of the services I had originally scheduled for. I'm sure their services are good, although I can't personally vouch for them. I wasn't impressed how they clearly screwed up and placed blame on me. Canceled the future appointment and went back to my old place. Pretty disappointed with how things ended up. I know mistakes happen but wasn't too impressed with how they reacted to it. Oh, if you do go here, they'll give you a call a day or two in advance. As a new client, I didn't know they extended this courtesy and never received one. Should have been a warning sign. I made an appointment for my very first Brazilian. I've always shaved, but it has become a huge nuisance and I was tired of ingrown hairs, missing areas, and the hair growing back so quickly. The Pretty Kitty recommends taking an Ibuprofen 1 hour before your appointment which I made sure I took. Alix was wonderful. She calmed my nerves by explaining everything she was going to do step by step. She was very gentle, and it didn't hurt. The Ibuprofen definitely helped with pain management. It was NOT painful. In my opinion, getting my eyebrows waxed hurts more. Make sure you see Alix. She makes you feel incredibly comfortable, especially as a Brazilian virgin. She is very knowledgeable and provides you with all of the aftercare instructions you need in between waxing appointments. read more

When business began opening back up as COVID restrictions eased up last year, I mad a couple of appointments to get waxed at businesses closer to me. I should have never strayed away from the Pretty Kitty! Everybody is always so kind with every interaction whether it be over the phone or in person. And Courtney is TRULY gifted at waxing. I'm all for a getting a good deal and great service! So when I found the pretty kitty, I had used a Groupon to see if I'd like them. Totally did and now I won't go anywhere else. This last Tuesday I went in, I had made my appointment for 11am. I get there 7-10min earlier, come in say hi to the girl, who was totally unimpressed probably hates her job cause she had the face of like wanting to be anywhere else. I sit. And wait. And wait. And 11:12 is when I am finally seen. I guess previous appointment ran long. Honestly hate when you have an appointment and then they see you late. It is a total waste of my time! Especially if I came in early so I wouldn't make someone else run late after me. The Brazilian was great, the girl was super cool and did a very nice job. However back to that front girl, she literally couldn't be more miserable. I went to pay and told her I had my check in from Yelp, she's like well you used them previously so this is the last time you'll be able to use it. I'm like cool but definitely need to let Yelp know that there's a limit on how many you can use. And don't get me wrong, I don't mind if I wasn't able to use it. It's the way she was condescending and as if trying to embarrass me in front of the other people waiting. The Pretty Kitty, if you don't want someone using the $15 off for checking in with Yelp, then set up some restrictions like you do with your Groupon in the fine writing that it's for new clients or that there's a max of 3 or whatever so that we your clients don't have to be told rudely about it by your staff. I have been going to the Pretty Kitty for years now for the same service every month, a sides of face wax. Yesterday I went to Whitney for the first time for the same service and a part of my skin was waxed off. (I have not changed my skincare routine or been prescribed any medications that would cause this.) She explained it as "raised skin" and said it would not scar but today I have very noticeable scaring on my face. To make this matter worse I spoke to the owner on the phone quite pointlessly, as she did not handle the situation as a concerned business owner should when they have an injured/upset client. Always happy with my experience here at The Pretty Kitty. I typically go to the Summerlin location, but since moving I have found it more convenient to come to Centennial. This location is fairly new and is by far prettier than the other locations. The decor is nice and relaxing and the ladies who work here are very personable and nice. I've been having much better experiences here than my most recent experiences at Summerlin. Getting a bikini/Brazilian wax isn't the most exciting thing to do. But these ladies ensure you have a positive experience and outcome. You'll be in and out within 15 mins and will leave happier than when you came in.
