Went to Prime Rib on a Friday night and had so much fun! The music, good food, and friendly staff really created a wonderful dinner out. There's something about a steakhouse where most of the servers have been there for several years that adds to the experience, I think our server said he's been working there for over 20 years! We ate way too much and enjoyed every bite. The prime rib was tender and flavorful. We also enjoyed the crispy onion rings and the crab cake. Mashed potatoes were delicious, creamy and buttery. I very much enjoyed the supper club steakhouse vibe here.

I probably come to the Prime Rib a little too much. Anytime someone is visiting from out of town and wants a fancy dinner, this is where I take them. Anytime I have a special occasion to celebrate, I'm usually coming to Prime Rib. Even if I'm in the area and feeling a bit peckish, I find myself cozying up to the familiar bar. I love the staff here. Service is friendly and old school but not stuffy - especially if you sit at the bar. Austin, Mark, John, are all topnotch people and topnotch servers. My usual go-tos are the dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives, the potato skins, and the house salad (hard-boiled eggs on the side). I recently celebrated my anniversary here and ordered the lobster tail for my entree. For $50ish it was a good size with great flavor and perfectly prepared. Not something I'd get for a normal dinner but it was lovely. I've also enjoyed some specials in the past like the crab legs or the ribs. If you're concerned about the high prices here, they offer a bar menu that is surprisingly affordable. Entrees like chicken, pork chop, burger, and even crab imperial for $30ish each. Not bad considering the ambiance and quality. They recently got rid of the cheesecake which we were very sad about but their sundae is also really good. The regular one is huge but they also offer a half size. I will continue to return here again and again. There's a reason they've been open for decades and I hope they remain open for many more years to come.

This place is a class act from start to finish! From the outside the restaurant doesn't look like much, but as soon as you step through the front doors you are transported in time with staff in tuxedoes waiting to take your coat. The dining room is beautiful, cozy, and makes you feel like you are on the set of an old Hollywood movie. The Christmas decorations and jazz band just solidified the atmosphere and made the evening extra special! Our server Aaron was amazing. Perfectly executed drinks, apps, and dinner. You can tell the waitstaff have worked there for a long time which speaks volumes to the establishment. The food was 5/5 excellent. We got the famous potato skins and shrimp cocktail to start. Both were delicious, especially the skins with the horseradish sauce! I ordered the filet and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. This place is pricy but a fun splurge for a special occasion! Go and experience for yourself, you won't be disappointed.

The Prime Rib is a great spot with an ambiance that really makes you feel like you're in a movie. It's classically styled and very cozy inside. They offer a lot of specials, and my partner and I tried the wagyu and wine menu. We especially loved the steaks and red wine pairings. We also ordered the potato skins, Brussels sprouts, and mac and cheese. Loved the mac but cared less for the other sides. Our server was highly attentive and provided a nice presentation that elevated the overall experience. Overall, this is a great spot for an elevated meal or special occasion.

Been in this area for 25 years and this was my first time at the Prime Rib!!! Wow best Steak House in Baltimore!!! Old-school supper club vibe, jazz quartet playing, waiters who have been there FOREVER. Amazing steaks, apps and crabcakes! It's not just about the food; it's the experience!!!

What sets The Prime Rib apart isn't just the amazing food, it's the atmosphere and service. The prime rib was one of the best I've had: flavorful, perfectly cooked, and melt-in-your-mouth good. The bar team deserves a shoutout too! the drinks were spot-on, from the bourbon selections to their signature cocktails. Service throughout the night was attentive and personable, making sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. The space has a sophisticated charm with live piano music in the background, which elevated the entire evening. This is easily one of the best dining spots in Baltimore when you want a memorable meal.

I am completely enamored with everything about The Prime Rib. One walk up the steps into the dining room that is adorned with leopard print carpet and a live piano player, I knew that I was in a place I would enjoy. We opted to sit at the bar, and Dan and Austin took care of us. At around 6:30 on a Sunday this bar was absolutely popping. Thankfully, a large party at the bar had a table resi so we snagged seats in the corner of the bar and began a lovely journey of martinis, carbs and of course prime rib. We started with the house salad which was great. We also split what I heard was one of their most popular dishes - a potato skin basket. I am unsure how I lived 36 years of life without ever experiencing such a thing. Who doesn't want perfectly crispy potatoes to be topped with horseradish and sour cream? It was DIVINE. On to the main - we opted to split the prime rib. It's a hefty 14 oz portion so you definitely want to share. There are a variety of sauces you can have with your entrees here, and we opted for bernaise. It also comes with horseradish. For sides, we got the creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. Life hack, save a potato skin and top it with creamed spinach. The great Anna S showed me this hack, and I am here to say this woman knows what's up. In terms of drinks, I of course had to order a dirty martini. This is a classic steakhouse dirty. It is filled to the brim, so much so they don't even add the olives into the drink until you take a few sips. The olives are hand stuffed with blue cheese and a wonderful salty addition to the briny martini of your dreams. This place is a total vibe. The bar has its own menu as well featuring sandwiches and a burger so I feel there is something to enjoy for every price point and craving here. Loved my experience, and especially loved knowing this has been family-owned and operated restaurant in Baltimore since 1965! A great steakhouse, good hospitality, and martinis truly never go out of style.

LOVE the classic vibe of this restaurant. The service was amazing. There was a piano player and a saxophone that added a lot to the classic sophisticated vibe. Such a great dining experience! My new favorite steakhouse in Baltimore

Reservation was made on OpenTable, we arrived in an Uber to a dark nondescript building, except for a mid 90's entryway of black polished marble and bright gold signage. Once inside it was very tight and busy. Very intimate yet stacked side by side, it had the feel of an old fashioned club that you needed to know someone to get into. We had an appetizer that was suggested, then we went onto wedge salads. Diner was Prime Rib for me and New York Strip for Mrs. Our shared sides were mac N cheese and onion rings. The beef was #Outstanding! The sides matched, the macNcheese was so far above what is offered now a days and the onion rings were out of this world. They were battered, crispy and sweet but not too much batter or sweet, just great though! Desserts were good but did not eclipse the main course.

Very expensive, very old school - basically to the point that the vast majority of the clientele is carrying AARP cards. I tried the prime rib - medium rare - as they're named after it. As is often the case with steak houses, they went light on seasoning. Unlike other steak houses (like Bones in Atlanta), I didn't find the sides to be particularly well cooked. Au Gratin potatoes, asparagus. I also had a bite of the "chopped steak" - which is basically just a high end hamburger with no bun. Pretty unimpressed, overall, and I have no intent to go back as there wasn't a single standout dish that made me think they had a higher ceiling. Rounding down a star because of *just* expensive this place is. It was $250 or so for two people. I will say I wish I'd ordered the NY strip - maybe given them a slightly better shot at delivering something that actually qualifies as steak. The service was predictably attentive. They don't get a bonus for that, though, because if you're paying even half these prices that should be a given. Interior: wood, live piano, white tablecloths. I doubt the place has changed since the late 1970s, or whenever it was they opened.

Wonderful experience to celebrate a birthday. The cocktails are strong and delicious. My gin martini was shaken well and came with 3 delicious blue cheese stuffed olives as requested. We ordered two large steaks to share for 5 people. 1 appetizer, 3 side dishes, including lobster mac and cheese. Ended the evening with 3 desserts including a giant icecream sundae. The service was smooth. There's mostly business diners here. We brought out two children (10 year old or so) and they were the only children we saw this Friday evening. Love the piano playing in the background. Paid Valet parking offered - bring cash for valet and tip. Had to go up a narrow flight of stairs from the valet garage.

Amazing food and fantastic service. Pricey, but worth it for the only place I've been in Baltimore that will actually cook you a rare steak.

The breeze under the pavilion was the perfect accompaniment to the evening, and there was plenty of seating. I also wish more of the wine selection was available by the glass instead of only the specialty wines by the bottle because we ended up choosing from the house wine options. I did have a glass of sparkling wine, which was really good. I'm planning to come back with a friend to give it another try. It's considered a Baltimore classic, so I'd love to experience it again and get a little more context on what keeps people coming back.

Keep in mind, that's for four drinks because everything else was given to us for free. We never asked for the peach drink or the cheese board--he offered them. My wife and I made a reservation for bar seating to celebrate a promotion and requested to move to the dining room after realising there was a world cup crowd in the bar area. Absolutely no problem at all. Our server was on the bar staff and made excellent drink recommendations, even recommending second round pairings based on our order. The food came out of the kitchen immediately, our small plates were served as they hit the pass, and our main, the duck donburi, came out of the kitchen moments after we finished our small plates. Our order was all based on the server's recommendations and were all excellent. We finished the meal with a rotating dessert, tonight a dish with blueberry compote and coconut cream atop a small cake that was equally fluffy and rich, and port and a dessert cocktail, both equally satisfying and paired nicely with the dessert. On the way out, we left our takeout box of the leftover donburi on the table and were barely out of the front door for moments before a server ran out our box to us. He was not our server; they are just very attentive. Go to this restaurant, try their elegant Polynesian dishes and spins, appreciate the service and tip them well. There were plenty of tables of the appropiate size available. The hostess/manager begrudging moved to another table. When that table had a chair that one of our party felt was uncomfortable for their needs, we asked to swap a chair with another one. (tables are set with mismatched chairs - this is part of the decor) This request turned into a hoopla because the hostess/manager had to approve the swap. Seriously? So now we've become "those" people. Moving on to the food/drink. Food /drink were dropped quickly. Too quickly IMO with entrees dropped without clearing appetizers. Knives seem to be by special request. Awkward. The food itself was fine. Tuna poke, lumpia & asparagus were all good but not memorable. Skimpy portions but okay. On to the entrees, our group had the duck, chicken & 2 ordered fish & chips. One fish & chip had 2 pieces of fish, the other only 1. Kinda felt that we were in a Seinfeld TV episode - only one piece of fish for you. just felt like we were being punished for being "those" people. We passed on dessert - no one wanted to linger or spend anymore time being rushed.
