First, let me say that I frequent metaphysical shops and psychic services. You might say I am a connoisseur of karma... an afterlife aficionado, if you will. Regardless, I know when a psychic service is quality and when it is an absolute abomination. My experience at The Psychic Shop aligns with the latter as if the two phrases were interchangeable. Now before, proceeding, please bear in mind, I do not often make a fuss and, in fact, I created a Yelp account for the sole purpose of airing my feelings about my experience at this company. It was THAT horrid. I stopped by The Psychic Shop to receive a palm reading from Sabrina. No amount of prefacing of "it is impossible to give a 100% accurate reading" could justify the incredibly vague and totally inaccurate waste of time and money that I received. To begin, it was $60 for a 15 minute reading. I did not receive 15 minutes of service. In fact, my servicer seemed to have run out of ideas to throw out after about 5 minutes so she began recycling the same ideas in slightly different wording. As for the reading itself, I could have received more insight about my life from the back of a cereal box- with little to no exaggeration. For those who may be skimming reviews, you may notice commonalities between readings of reviewers. That's because they're virtually the same generic lines that that this company uses to prey on those who are naïve enough to believe that they are the real deal. My reading is as follows: You will live a long life and have a couple of children. You will have good news in March, April, or May. I was asked if twins run in my family. Nope. I was asked about my husband. No husband. I asked about what the good news would be in those months.... "positive energy." I truly believe that I paid $60 for a fortune cookie. Not to mention, I was being given a palm reading and she didn't look at my palms. To close, I was told that I should not tell anyone about this reading for the next few days or it may not be as accurate. Given that not a single thing was accurate, I am hoping that me airing all of this out about 30 minutes after receiving this reading will cancel out the bad juju like PEMDAS and something positive might come out of this dumpster fire. And here's the kicker.... my brother got a reading too! We were both told not to speak of our readings... and you know why? BECAUSE THEY WERE THE SAME. To conclude, this is a scam. Don't waste your money. And to the owner who will inevitably write back and offer a reading to make up for the poor experience- I don't want a reading. For the past two decades, I have been going back and forth when if comes to belief. This woman told my friend to wait outside while she "read" my palms because for some reason we couldn't be in the same room even though we came together, she didn't even look at my palms, to begin with, and she just rehearsed the EXACT same lines to both me and my friend and I wonder how much more gullible people she has performed this trick on since she mentioned that her shop had been open for 50 years. I can't believe this woman is still in business. Hopefully you're one of the lucky ones who decided to look this place up on Yelp first, and not one of the unfortunate ones who got totally scammed! Not only did this woman sound like she was reading from a script, but at one point her cell phone vibrated, and she actually checked her text message WHILE she was supposedly reading my palm. Ridiculous. Tell you what, why don't I save you the trip and the money and tell you what she'll probably charge you $25-$40 to tell you: You're a warm person with a good heart. You will live until around 80/85 years, and be very healthy. You're a positive person, but have a lot of negative thoughts about yourself. Last year was not a very good one, and there was a lot of drama, but there's going to be a big change around April. You will meet your soul mate in a crowded area, like a movie theater, concert venue, or mall. You will have twins, a boy and a girl. She said the reading had to be done in private, and afterwards we weren't to talk about what she said, or else our supposed future wouldn't come true. She told us all the EXACT same thing. My friends and I thought it would be fun to have a psychic reading while visiting Nashville. The psychic, Christine, gave us a deal (so she said) $25 for each person for one palm. She told me everything Allison H. said to the T. At the end of the reading she gave me her card which had her name listed as Elaine. Christine, Elaine, whatever your name is- get your act together. At least make up some interesting stories that are DIFFERENT if you know that you're reading people who are friends. Our experience was so ridiculous she ruined the whole phsychic experience for us. I felt compelled to write this even though I typically am not a review writer. I was in Nashville last weekend with my 4 other girlfriends. We wanted to do something different, and since one of us has gotten good results from a past reading we decided to give psychic shop a try. The lady told us not talk about our results for at least 3 days and there was obviously a reason for that, and it was so we wouldn't compare stories. Long story short 3 out of 5 of us are having a girl and a boy twin and traveling to California or Florida and are also kind people although we have a lot of negativity around us. The other 2 had the exact same story as well. Pretty much this rip off was reading off a script. At the end you got to ask 2 questions so one of mine was "is my horse going to be ok" ( i don't have a horse) and she answered yes ur horse has had some problems but it will be ok. Hahaha What a waste of money! Also her whole family was in the room talking while the 2 min session (she initially told us it would be 10 to 30 min a session) It was so awful that we talked and laughed about it the whole trip, that was the only thing that made it worth it.
