The Pub at Laurelwood is a super chill spot with great views. It is so totally Eugene. Located halfway up 'the hill' or so and situated on the Laurelwood golf course, this place offers indoor and outdoor seating with gorgeous views of nature and the green pastures of the golf course. The inside is everything you would expect from a truly Oregon establishment. It has wooden booths and tables and has a rustic but comfortable feel. there are lots of windows and the space is open and inviting. There is also a video slots area. We were here for taco Tuesdays with discounted taco and margarita specials. I tried the chorizo tacos which were DELICIOUS!!!! They had a good spice but also a cooling cabbage slaw that balanced them out. I tried the blackberry margarita which was a little sour for my taste but still had good flavor. they also have an excellent beer and cider selection. As far as atmosphere and offerings, this place is great, for sure! Service could have been better. I found our group needing more drinks and particularly water, which is important while you are drinking cocktails. Will I be back? Yes! I can't wait for more tacos but I will lower my service expectations and probably bring my own water. read more

I can't believe after living in Eugene my whole life that I finally tried this place. I got the tee box benedict and added ham. The hollandaise was homemade and delicious my only critic was the poached eggs were a little over cooked. The ambiance is very relaxing with a view of the golf course and nice polished wood slab tables. The music was a little loud for having conversations but that's really no big deal. Super tasty taco Tuesday! The veggie tacos as well as the pork and black bean tacos are delicious. Just spicy enough to satisfy. All are deelish, as are all the meals served here. They have some excellent chefs back there. Great service as always! Quiet atmosphere in the evening. Mostly I love the consistency in the great meals. During the day you can't find a better view anywhere. The view out the window of the golf course and Spencer Butte off in the distance are amazing. read more

Visiting from LA and were in search of a spot to catch the World Cup at. We had our teenaged son and toddler with us so a dark and dingy sports bar was not what I was looking for. Also didn't want shitty bar food. Yelp led me to the Pub at Laurelwood and thank God for that! The atmosphere is inviting- like your grandma's house. If Grandma lived on a golf course with a killer view. The service was attentive and the bartender suggested a spicy infused Bloody Mary that was EXCELLENT. The menu isn't inventive- think comfort food- but everything we ordered was delicious. They have games for the little ones, lots of big screen TVs for the husband and a pretty view for me. My husband asked me not to tell anyone about this place because finding a table for brunch can be hard here but I think folks should know. They are following lots of Covid protocol, I.e., makes, staggered tables, sanitizing tables etc. I'd recommend making reservations because of the decrease in tables but we went at 9 on a Sunday and were able to walk right in. $6.50 Spanish coffee. $6.50. That's it. They have a full bar and great views. We both got the Pick 3 for $10. The choices were nice: eggs, pork breakfast products, toast, cottage cheese, fruit, sautéed veggies, grits (cheesy) and veggie sausage. My daughter got the waffles that come with fruit. The server and bartender were great. They have several for watching sports and a fireplace. Lots to select and super vegetarian friendly. Why 4 stars? Food can take a minute to come out but we were behind a couple of large tables. read more

Weekend brunch at Laurelwood was casual with a lovely view of the green golf course. Dining is in the pub with lots of windows with views, TVs with the current sporting events & a great waitress. I normally don't care for TVs in my eating space but they were far enough away from me that I didn't notice them much. The cooler was a bit loud though. We sat on the other side of the room & it was fine. The veggie Eggs Benedict was delicious. Lots of homemade hollandaise sauce - yum. The breakfast potato were the best. Well seasoned, soft inside, crisp outside. My boyfriend had the traditional Benedict & the ham was salty & a bit dry though he really enjoyed it. Our waitress was attentive & accommodating & the food came out quickly. We would go back again for that rich lemony hollandaise sauce & ask for a bit extra. :) read more

Great atmosphere and great food! The ambiance is comparable to that of King Estate Winery with vegetation as far as the eye can see. The wait staff is fabulous! They really make an effort to get to know the customers, and they effectively foster a strong homely feeling. As far as the food goes, I have absolutely no complaints. Everything I have ordered at this restaurant has gone above and beyond my expectations. I will mention a few of my favorite dishes: the pork belly bahn mi (phenomenal!); chipotle quesadilla; rusty sliders; brisket sando. The shrimp po' boy sandwich was surprisingly good for pub food. Tasty shrimp, fresh vegetables, tasty sauce, and an adequate hoagie roll. I was happy that they had my favorite Hefeweizen, which added to the dining experience. I was there with a large group but our orders were delivered fairly quickly. Wow once we found this Pub at Laurelwood Golf Course in Eugene, we were very surprised at how clean, had a great open area and was busy on a Friday night. People were packing the tables and booths. The bar didn't had an empty stool and the pool table was being used. The lottery room had a drawn people into the closed area to play Lotto. We were there for a duel party which had about 35-40 people. The food was great and the server Shayne P did an absolutely awesome job taking care of the entire pub all by herself. The guys behind the bar could have been moving quite a bit faster to fill her drink orders. Too many smoke breaks were observed by our group. One big guy ran into our table twice and he worked there! No apology or an oops. The kitchen staff helped clear dirty dishes and serve. We would return again to this Pub. The summer time will be great as you over look the golf course. read more

The best thing about this place is the really nice view of the golf course. Also, we were able to get a Saturday night table reservation with a call hours before. So many places won't take them. It was not too busy but lively and I think their happy hour is probably a big draw. Nice cocktail menu and a varied menu. My companions enjoyed their burgers, sandwiches and tacos. My salad was good but the Asian lettuce wraps chicken was sub par. Service was friendly and attentive. Casual atmosphere but I would stick to the note traditional pub fare next time. This place place is a hidden treasure in Eugene! The food is ridiculously good and really inexpensive: I've had a blackened ahi sandwich, rusty sliders, duck with rosemary gnocchi, smoked tomato caprese salad, prime rib, and goat cheese spinach dip -to name a few-, plus a ton of cocktails from their infused liquors AND mimosas! More importantly, the cheesecake is always a different flavor and is by far the best I've had in my 25 years living in Eugene. I've spoken to the co-owners and one is a classically trained chef with years of experience and the other has been running bars for just as long (no wonder the food and drinks are so good). One of my favorite destinations in Eugene. I was tempted to not review it for the sake of keeping it to myself, but they deserve the recognition :) I love this place because of its location (South Eugene), its lodge vibes, and because it's pretty big and never gets insanely crowded. In fact, I have had a few large (more than 10 people) gatherings here and the staff are consistently very accommodating. IWhen I celebrated my birthday here, they saved three large tables for me despite my very nebulous headcount ("maybe 10, maybe 20?"). The $2 tacos on Tuesdays are great, the pbr is cheap, the food and drink menus have plenty of options, and the view out over the golf course is quite nice, despite my general aversion to golf. It was so good that I came back for dinner; I almost ordered the same thing, but decided to go with a burger and it did not disappoint. We really like it here. The view of the golf course is great and the staff is very friendly. We love their taco Tuesday deal and the tacos are very good. We even had our family come here the day after our wedding for a lunch. On our most recent visit, I had the Rueben which was good although I think they burnt the bread a bit. The Pub At Laurelwood is another hidden gem located in South Eugene that provide's it's patrons with impressive cocktails, delicious food and top notch customer service. I'm lucky enough to live walking distance to this place so I may be slightly biased. I've been here for lunch and really enjoyed the food. Their menu has a great selection from loaded potato wedges, tacos, sandwiches and panini, sliders and more! I've also gathered here with friends to play pool and enjoy their amazing cocktails. If you love bourbon I highly recommend the Bourbon Smash-bourbon, lemon, honey and basil makes this cocktail one of my favorites although there are many others to choose from. They have a huge projector screen and multiple TVs for watching the big game and a small little video poker area off to the side behind a curtain. There is only one pool table so you may have to wait your turn but I've never seen this place too crazy (the probably get packed when a popular game is on TV). Kids are allowed in here until 10pm so you can bring the kids for lunch if you'd like. Again, this place sits on a golf course and overlooks the lush greenery but you definitely don't have to be a golfer to enjoy this charming old pub. They have big cozy chairs and large booth type tables that you can sit at. If you haven't been to Laurelwood, you should check it out. I really, really like the Pub at Laurelwood. The service I've had there is always kind, laid back, and accommodating, if at times really slow. I wouldn't go there if I have a time constraint, but if I'm in it for a leisurely dinner and drinks, it's awesome. Great cocktail menu, specials, and beer selection. The best part about Laurelwood is the taste of the food-- their chef/cooks are doing an awesome job and I hope it never changes. Of particular note are the Rusty Sliders. The name does not do them any justice but it may be the tastiest thing I've put in my mouth in a long long time. Also, if you're choosing a side, that pasta salad is AMAZING. Non-traditonal, maybe herby (pesto?). I can appreciate the old-school Eugene atmosphere... like walking into Eugene's storied past. They are trying hard to make it as inoffensive as they can. i heard they got nixed by the city to make any renovations (not actually sure if that's true or not), but they are doing their best with some sub-optimal conditions (hello, drop ceiling with florescent lighting!) In my fantasy world, the Pub would build a gorgeous second-story deck out those awesome windows and it'd be my hangout place all summer long. read more

The last two times I've eaten at the P@L, part of my meal has come out of the kitchen at room temperature. This is not OK. Servers have been appropriately, if not excessively, apologetic. And, the food was either replaced or reheated, but someone needs to correct this problem. Otherwise, the various dishes were very good. read more

I love this place! They opened July 15, 2015, but the proprietor and chef are experienced, and they know what they are doing! The place is casual, friendly, welcoming, super non-pretentious, and has DELICIOUS FOOD and reasonable prices. Also, easy parking and a fabulous view of Laurelwood golf course. I've had three meals here so far, one in a group of 10 people, and we all LOVED the food. They use top ingredients and everything I've had so far has been super-yummy. read more
