This diner has expanded since the last time I was there and I believe so has the menu. I was with…read morea large group of friends who decided to have dinner here. There were four others tables taken by what seemed like locals so not overly busy for the size of the place. I found our server was quite slow, most of us just ordered water for drinks. She told us what the specials were for that day but did not mention any prices. The bacon cheeseburger macaroni soup sounded really good as the smoky burger. When she came back to take our orders, each order was written separately. A lot of us wanted the soup as the side order. Two friends ordered the smoky burger special but she was not clear that it came with two sides. After placing our orders she comes back to say they ran out of soup! All of us were disappointed but perhaps they didn't make enough as they weren't expecting a group of 12? The root beer float came with ice cubes which was odd, for a diner my friend was not impressed. My crispy chicken burger for $13.95 was just a frozen chicken patty with lettuce, tomato and mayo. I chose a salad with French dressing and the lettuce was very fresh like it was just cut from the head five minutes before! The 50/50 burger was not greasy but didn't have much bacon taste, they could probably improve on that one. Another two friends had the chicken cordon bleu which they said was quite good except the mashed potatoes was a bit dry and may not be real potatoes. We paid our bills individually at the till and my friend discovered the smoky burger special was $19.95! Definitely not worth it but it was very tasty. Overall okay but not sure if I would go to this place again next time I'm in town.

Overall: an good diner experience in the mid-range of price, clearly managed by a family…read more Atmosphere: 4/5 Comfortable, and with a typical Japanese layout. Staff: 5/5 Attentive and professional. Food: 5/5 Fresh, flavourful, and well cooked.

I've been curious about this café since I heard of it. Camrose really isn't that far from Edmonton…read moreand yet I rarely have a reason to go there. Today we were in Camrose so we stopped in for lunch. The first thing we noticed is that the café has the ambiance of Ikea. That's good or not good depending on your preferences. It certainly has a clean feel to it and you can see into the bakery through some glass doors. On the menu everything seemed to be the same price at $17.50 in 2022. I ordered the Lefse Wrap with beef. It was okay. The Lefse itself was quite good but the beef wasn't anything special. Still, it's a nice size and seems to be popular. At first I thought it was expensive but then I discovered that each meal includes dessert. With the dessert included the price seems reasonable. It's not a dessert like pie or anything large like that but any baked goods under the front glass counter is included. I had the Lingonberry chocolate puffs and I got two served with cream. The presentation was beautiful and they were delicious. Service was first rate. The young lady was pleasant, cheerful and seemed to genuinely appreciate our business. Coffee came with refills. This is a destination café and makes for an enjoyable lunch. I recommend it. Oh and they sell lots of Swedish themed gifts from Swedish flags of all sizes to mittens.

Breakfast to-go took 15min to make. You need to ask for utensils. Ham and egg wrap: 9/10 it was great! Bread used was so soft and great texture. Hashbrowns could have used to cook longer and needed more salt. Bacon and eggs Lefse House Style: I chose scrambled eggs and it was a unique presentation like a rolled omelette. Tasted fine but no real seasoning. Bacon was limp and small. Bread was 10/10 so tasty, jam included was great too. Dill pickle soup was 10/10, comes with your choice of bread. Boyfriend chose rye and gave it 10/10 but I didn't like as it had a very strong flavor.

Leonardo's is a cute and quaint cafe located in a nice neighborhood. We came around lunch and…read moreparking can be pretty tough, but we managed to find a spot about a block away. There's a couple of tables inside and a few chairs by the window. There's also a few tables outside in the front yard. We ordered an Iced Vanilla Latte with oat milk and a Chai with oat milk. For sandwiches, we ordered a Veggie Wrap with chicken and a Reuben. I was very impressed to see one guy behind the counter making food, taking orders, serving, and just handling everything going on. I was very impressed with my latte. Coffee was flavorful, sweetened perfectly, and oat milk was creamy too. Honestly, I felt like the coffee here was better than even some coffee shops in the area. Great quality coffee. We got our sandwiches and were pleasantly surprised that they were also served with fruit. We had a couple slices of oranges and watermelon, it was so cute. Our sandwiches were delicious. The Veggie Wrap was tasty, full of fresh veggies, and portion size was great too. And the Reuben was hearty, meat quality was top notch, and overall really good. We even talked to the Leonardo himself. He was very down to earth and friendly. One thing I really liked was that he was upfront about what wasn't available and always told me and other customers when he could get to them. I appreciated the honesty. That man was HUSTLING. I have nothing but great things to say about this place. We'll definitely be back and I'll recommend this place to anyone for good food, coffee, and that cozy comfortable cafe vibe.
