I put my name on the list and after 2 months, I got the call I was waiting on. After a 20 hour drive, I was not excited for the move-in process but again, the staff came through. Katie and Heather had already done the legwork by the time I pulled in and in 5 minutes I had the keys in my hand. I've been here for a year now and I love this complex. The pool and gym are fantastic, the landscaping is really well done, and the apartment layout is great. Throughout the year I have had a handful of maintenance requests, all were completed quickly and the maintenance staff is phenomenal. All the small details the staff works so hard on honestly made El Paso start to feel like home. Shortly after renewing my lease, my job had me moving again. I was really worried about needing to break my lease but luckily, they have several paths for going about it. With minimal stress, and expense to me, the staff helped me navigate the process and the moveout was relatively painless. Everything about the complex, location, and apartment were wonderful but it's the front office and maintenance staff that make Avalon West the best apartment in El Paso. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to rent here!

The parking situation is a nightmare. Each apartment should have one designated parking spot, I've come home late at night and haven't been able to find any parking. The water gets cut off quite frequently by the maintenance team, with notices being sent out on a weekday an hour before the water is cut off(when 99% of people are at work). The front office people are professional. However maintenance and parking are a nightmare. If you can look past that then I guess it's an okay place to live. The apartments are nice for older apartments. And oh yea I got raided by scorpions in the summer. The weatherstripping around the doors sucks.

Very convenient,safe location, very close to everything, which include an Airport and Costco. Also they provides military discount and they dont have extra allocated bills. The Management is running this place very professionally and very kind people also. For starters the condos are conveniently located on El Paso's West Side - close to pretty much every amenity you might need and just a 10 min drive to downtown. The condos sit right up next to the Franklin Mnts, with hiking trails practically right outside the front door. The unit was carefully stocked with all of the basics - including in unit laundry, just about every kitchen utensil you can imagine, and of course furniture, linens, etc. A desk and office in one of the bedrooms worked exceptionally well for me when working from home. The grounds are well maintained, well lit at night, and the folks I met who were permanent residents were overwhelmingly friendly and courteous. In addition to all of this there were several instances where I needed help from Bob or Carolyn - recommendations for certain things, or help letting family in the unit when they were visiting and I wasn't able to be there to meet them. Bob and/or Carolyn were always happy to assist if they were able. They were also always up for a friendly chat about salsa, local restaurants, tennis, or just about anything. I truly felt like we became friends during the short time I stayed at Camelot. I can't recommend these units enough for a short or medium term stay. I also can't recommend or thank the owners Bob and Carolyn enough for making my stay in El Paso about as good as it could have been : )

Plus you didn't have to go through the bedroom to get to the bathroom if you ever had company, which was extremely convenient. The staff is also wonderful, available, and responsive. My roommate and I were talking and sitting on the top step of the pool with our feets in the pool and the pool monitor aggressively approached us and asked us where our pool bracelets were. We respectfully told him we left it in our apartment. The pool monitor, very rudely told us we had to leave the pool now. All while in the background, there were about 12 people partying towards the jacuzzi side of the pool area drinking beer bottles and had their music turned up very loudly. The pool monitor was more concerned about us than the people partying.
