Well, we really wanted to try this place. Photos and review didn't live up to the hype for us. We are not vegan, but we wanted to give it a go for a break in our routine! So we went at 7pm on a Wednesday. What's playing on TV was not available, was told to use QR code, so easy peasy. So the counter staff was pleasantly, we ordered: rabbit hole salad and the patty melt to go. Maybe should be eaten there, right away. Didn't stand up to a quick ride home. BOTH meals looked sad and not worth $50, as was $20 each, gave $3 tip for to go. Probably won't return! It's probably great for vegans who don't require quality or taste, just gut it out to remain vegan. Salad had no flavor really, it was " overdressed", just kale dressed in an underwhelming sauce. Tons of it where it was soggy. Chips of fake chicken I guess, that was flavorless. Partners patty melt was just so so. I'm sad! You ever wanted to really like something, so you force it. We love going to local spots to support folks but we demand excellence. I wasn't expecting Coopers HAWK, but wanted some flavor. It's like not even as good as Whole Foods, which is pricey like this but good. Patty melt was average, and not worth $20. The onions saved it, but too expensive for us. Fries were limp, not well made. Now I will say, we do go to dives, so we didn't need Sonness (by the way Sonness is beyond fab!). So, we can do " dive vegan" but we cant do expensive average. It survives because often the beach crowds are too tipsy or high to care, or average is OK due to being snowbirds. Im sure these reviews aren't fake, so will chop this up to a bad night for the cooks! Stop by if you are vegan, committed to this lifestyle, then its good enough. We are in good shape medically, have more allegiance to our wallet than a movement. My partner makes great, fresh salads, so I can stay home for below average greens. But if you are committed and need to just get out, try it. I think a vegan frozen meal, Amy's is better. The salad wasn't horrible, just not worth the price. $20 for soggy, no flavor. Nope! I need flavor, price, freshness mix. Also they could do better with the ambiance. When you walk up, it seemed sad. It was empty, but zero personality. They need some music, it was quiet, somewhat moodless! Even dives have a little music. Rabbits have music LOL! Wish them luck! They have been around a while, so maybe they had better days! This place was on my list for years!! The food was phenomenal and there is such a large selection which is not very common for vegan options- we got the cheese fries and the smoke in the woods. The flavor of the vegan cheese on the fries was amazing and the fries came out hot and fresh. The smoke in the woods came with the bbq chicken, mac n cheese, toast, and corn -- all of which were seasoned very well and delicious. The only reason I am not giving a full five stars is because I felt like it was very pricey for the amount of food we got (you'll see pictured). The portion sizes were limited. My very dear friend is vegan. She said that I had to try her favorite place. She sent me the link and we were headed to eat. When we arrived I realized why she wanted me to familiarize myself w the menu. It's not only a large menu, you order at the counter. When your food is ready, they bring it to you. We had her pup with us so we sat outside. The weather was perfect. She ordered the French fries and the BBQ ribs. The fries were big and and the serving was a nice size too. Her ribs had a southern style sauce. They tasted just like boneless ribs would taste, consistency too! I had the regular "Rabbit Food" salad and the IMPOSSIBLE Korean BBQ meat balls. They had a nice bite and flavor. I preferred that sauce over her ribs. The balls were sprinkled with sesame seeds and green onions. The salad was perfect for one. If you want to share, try the dinner size. The salad was amazing. I could have eaten 3 more! We also ordered the GIGANTIC pretzel. They were not lying, this thing was huge! Yesterday, we went to the Rabbit Hole for lunch, and the food was incredible. Not only was it delicious, but the portion sizes were also generous. The staff was very nice and helpful, and our food was made fresh; we only waited 15 minutes for it. My husband and I started with the Hungry Man fries, which we couldn't finish. Tried this vegan soul food spot for the first time and was so impressed! I got the BBQ "chicken" plate along with the mac n' cheese, and both were absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich, comforting, and so satisfying - honestly, I've never tried anything like this before. I wanted to love this place. I didn't. Not healthy. Did not taste good. Low food quality (not organic). Most of the meat substitutes are soy based..... and not organic soy, just soy. So, likely has glyphosate and other unhealthy chemicals. I ordered a four veggie plate and a Mango Madness - $34.00. The mac and cheese was mediocre at best. The slaw I ordered was way too sweet - like too much added sugar. The baked beans looked like they came right out of a can and the steamed broccoli was good, but again not organic and definitely not worth the price. The Mango Madness was just sugar water. I'm sure it had mango in it, but definitely not 100% mango. I returned it immediately. They said they'd credit my card back but did not do so immediately so I'm doubtful. And last, it's a little off putting that you have to scan a bar code to see the menu. No paper menus exists nor is a menu posted on the wall. And, the menu itself doesn't have a list of ingredients so you're not sure what you're getting. The menu just has cute names without full descriptions. I won't return. read more

I asked what oils they use for cooking, and he said canola oil, which is one of the worst seed oils for your health. While visits in the nearby area, hubby suggested we visit this vegan black owned business and this restaurant did not disappoint! Upon entertaining the restaurant, we were warmly greeted by restaurant owner Sam and his friendly staff. Hubby informed staff of his nut allergy and the staff suggested the best menu items to have. Luckily, the chef uses oat milk so hubby's concerns about having a allergic reaction while eating there was greatly reduced. We started off with an a la carte order of the BBQ spare ribs which were sweet and savory with a mild kick. For our main mean, I had a chick'n quesadilla with salsa and vegan sour cream and hubby had the their Philly cheesesteak sandwich called "the answer" with a side of fries. The food was beautifully presented and delicious to eat. For dessert, I had the zu-keeper which is a zucchini chocolate chip brownie. We enjoyed the food at the restaurant so much, we ordered takeout meals of "Surf's Up" Surf and Turf plate and "The 5 Burroughs" Chopped Cheese sandwich with vegan macaroni and cheese for dinner. The to go food was lovingly packed and was as delicious as though we were eating the meal at the restaurant.
