Serious horse players go to the "Room" - it's next to the Chandelier room. Used to be called the Sports Book but now it's just unnamed. The clubhouse side has outdoors table seating just past the finish line. Plenty of bars and food venues throughout for those so like to walk around and visit the paddock and walking ring. Peacocks walking around. An experience I will cherish for ever. On race day, there were rides, food, beer, and just a good vibe that would make anyone come back again. Sure it was hot! Instead of just pointing, he went out of his way to walk my husband and I all the way in the right direction and was just incredibly kind and helpful the entire time. Selflessness of this level is such a rarity these days! Super unprofessional and shady. After the event ended at 11 PM, it took us 2.5 HOURS just to get out. Workers were standing around doing nothing--no direction, no traffic control. The only reason things finally moved was because a cop showed up and stepped in. It was so bad we had time to walk to In-N-Out, get food, come back, eat, and STILL hadn't moved. Total chaos. My smash burger came out different than I was expecting, the patty was thicker than I'm used to for a smash burger but it was still flavorful and delicious. The inside of this place is a bit dark but has a cool vibe and it is also kid friendly. We didn't have any kids with us but there were other families that had young kiddos there. My family and I spent the day walking around Lake Perris and decided to stop by The Derby Room afterward. First and foremost, Tabitha was an AMAZING server. Despite being completely overwhelmed and handling more than seven tables on her own -- while also bussing tables -- she still managed to provide excellent service and made sure our food arrived in a timely manner. She truly did the best she could under the circumstances, and it did not go unnoticed. The reason for the 3-star rating is primarily due to the establishment being severely understaffed during our visit. In addition, the overall presentation and cleanliness of the venue appeared neglected, likely from the UFC fight night event held the evening prior. I do want to give credit where it's due though -- Tabitha remained professional, attentive, and hardworking throughout the entire experience. When you walk into the area, there was a section which looked like a host desk before approaching the elevator. This room is on the 3rd floor.
