When I contacted the office myself, I was put on hold and the call was ended without explanation, and I never received a callback. Slick, compelling website. Nightmare experience. Once you sign their contract, prepare to beg. The first draft deadline for the contracted non-provisional patent application was catastrophically missed. The reason? The lawyer Mr. Rapacke outsourced my application to, who lived in another state, missed the initial deadline and then went on vacation. He then slow-walked the draft reviews and ran out the clock until the filing deadline (a classic fixed-fee lawyer move). No problem for RLG, as they'll happily file your application in an unfinished state with more typos and mislabeled figures than a third grader's paper. I begged them to fix it and was ignored. Some associate in Colorado then called to collect the rest of their fee, unaware the application wasn't complete. I begged Mr. Rapacke to finish the application himself, but was ignored. I begged again, and 45 days later, I received a partial response that addressed only a fraction of the necessary work. I fired Mr. Rapacke and learned through my new lawyer that there were two USPTO letters regarding the application that RLG never forwarded (a major RLG contract breach and violation of The Florida Bar rules), and the application had become abandoned--dead in the water. Under the RLG's care my ap sank quietly, like a ship in the night and I paid my new lawyer a significant amount to salvage the application and requested a refund from RLG to refund their fee and cover the new work...but all I got from Mr. Rapacke was deflection and gaslighting. Ignore, deflect, derange. They ignored my stated issues, deflected the blame onto me, and derange the facts. Ignore, deflect, derange--for months. Every attempt to settle was met with that technique. I'm now paying significantly more for my patent application, and Mr. Rapacke still retains my 50% fee for contracted work he never delivered. What an awful, expensive, and soul-crushing experience. 0/10...would NOT recommend. A quick note to others who may have experienced unethical representation from the RLG. I found these guys with a google search and had an initial consult call with them pretty quickly for a couple of trademarks. I was then directed to pay and booked the next day for the call with the attorney to go over everything. After I paid, I never heard a peep from anyone. He missed his scheduled time and he never emailed or called for 2 days, nor did his assistant. I emailed a few times and called and when I finally got ahold of the assistant all I was told is that he 'fell behind'. 2 days later he still never got a hold of me. I'm embarrassed to be writing this review, as I did not read previous reviews carefully enough to know not to work with this firm. While there are a number of 5-star reviews here and on Google, they all date back many years - to a time where this was either a more respectable law firm or to when they asked their friends to write reviews at their time of launch. But these days, they are a bunch of cheats who are only interested in securing your initial deposit by providing such a poor level of service that you opt not to work further with them. They spent almost no-time up front to understand my needs, ghosted me (ignored emails, dodged phone calls) during the timeframe they promise to provide results, and only provided me with a result after I submitted a claim to my credit card (which prevented them from getting paid). But of course, that claim wasn't going to work, as a majority of the paperwork you sign up front is all written to protect themselves in this very situation. Somehow they are still allowed to practice law, so the best thing to do is avoid these people at all costs and hope they go out of business. read more

1 star 12/21/2022 I had a horrific experience with this law group. I was assigned to Andrew. I can't honestly say that we worked together. It started off with a pay link before the free phone consultation for infringement. The meeting went as scheduled, after I made the payment. I hired him to remove infringing listings from ****. I was personally having infringing items removed from **** as well. There, I found a potential investor to sign a licensing agreement. I called Andrew's assistant to set up another free phone consultation. Again, I was sent a link for payment before the free phone consultation. I'm not sure where the free phone consultation came from? The phone call went as scheduled. After weeks of waiting, I decided to reach out. I waited and waited and waited. Finally I received the licensing agreement. The numbers that we discussed in the phone conversation were different on the licensing agreement. I tried calling, calling, emailing, emailing for weeks to resolve the issue. It honestly felt like a scam. When he finally emailed me back, I felt like I was being scolded. I'm in the process of hiring another attorney. I asked for half of my money back. I felt like I was scolded again. He told me that he was going to have all of the infringing listings removed. Out of 100+ listings, he filed 4 takedown notices. I reached out to the listings owners as well. One of them wanted to lease my patent. I called to setup another free phone consultation. I received another payment link. I paid an the consultation went as scheduled. We discussed drawing up a licensing agreement and negotiating it. Two weeks passed, no contract. I called, called, called, emailed, emailed, emailed, without a callback or email response from Andrew. When I received my licensing contract, I couldn't find the person interested in leasing it from me. Honestly, this was just "MY" personal experience. I went to this firm because of over 100 cases of infringement listings on ****. That means I had 100 problems. When decided to find another attorney, I had 103 problems. I lost contact with the possible investor. The infringing listings are still out of control. And, I have to pay someone else for what I paid him to do. When someone shows me that they gave 100% and failed, I give them 4 stars. We all fail until we don't. I wouldn't accept a refund from a person like that. With that said, this review doesn't matter if the rest are 4 stars and up. read more

What I will do here is tell you my experience and I like you to judge for yourself if you should use the Rapacke, Law Group . I have over 7 patents, my attorney retired so I needed a new patent attorney. I paid for a prior art patent search with The Rapacke Law Group. They came back with three publications but no patents, but the publication had references from the USPTO examiner so I asked for those and what do I get. They asked me to pay an additional $1000 for the examiner's references. I paid them to "perform a prior art search and prepare a prior art search report which includes a detailed explanation of the most relevant prior art that may affect the patent-ability of your invention and various embodiments." I would say those references could affect the patent-ability of my product. You can decide if you want to use this Law Group. With 7 patents never had this happen. Then they tell me I have a 90% chance of getting a patent. Asked for additional money to file the patent without giving me the references.. I would never use them, you decide. Update, I found a new patent attorney, did a prior art search and they found five prior art for my patent idea Why didn't Rapacke Group find them?. From those prior art findings I could never have gotten a patent. All Rapacke, Law Group wanted was my money. Stay far away from these guys. read more

I used The Rapacke Law Group for an initial project and have since used them several times. I am very surprised and impressed with their response time and the fact with them, fixed fee billing really means fixed fee. I have used many different firms in the Tallahassee area and am used to Attorneys that take a couple of days to call you back and then it takes time, as in weeks on occasion, to get you something to review. Andrew and his team work quicker than any firm I have every worked with and the work product is superior to what I have purchased previously for patents and trademarks. I engaged the Repacke Law Group to correct fraudulent assignments against two of my patents. It was a complex case and they told me I might have to sue to get the patent ownership corrected, but we could try an Affidavit of Declaration first. I agreed, they drafted the document, I approved it, signed it, and they told me they sent it to the USPTO Assignment Division for recording. This was in April. I kept checking back with the lawyers and they told me it took a long time and they could not speed up the patent office. The document they said they filed never showed up in the patent files, so after five months, I called the assignment Division and they told me they never received the document. For several weeks, I asked Repacke for shipping confirmation, but got no answer. They just told me they sent it and there was nothing else they could do. When I pushed, they sent me USPS tracking information showing they never sent the document, after stalling me for five months. Repacke agreed to resent the document and sent me tracking information showing that some document was received at the USPTO. After a few more weeks of seeing nothing in the patent file wrapper, I called the Patent Office and they told me they had nothing showing in my patent files from my lawyers. I paid them $2500 to draft and file the document, but now they tell me I have to pay more if I want them to make sure it gets recorded. I decided to call the USPTO and found out how to file the Correction by Declaration form online, submitted the Affidavit and supporting documents online, and had it show up in the image file wrapper within a few days. It seems like legal professionals would also be able to do this. I am not sure if they really sent my Affidavit, but it took a long time and my patents assignments are still not completely corrected. Hopefully I can find someone who can get the job done or do it myself. I would probably not use Repacke Law Group again. read more
