We registered online. The process was easy and very informative. All our questions from billing, to location, times, instructors, etc were answered at registration. The first class we came in and we were immediately greeted as we approached the front desk. I let them know it was our first visit. They welcomed us, introduced the instructor to me and my daughter and let us know how the process worked. The class is one hour and there is no wasted time. They move from station to station and get instructions on how to do the work they are focusing on. I look around at all the instructors and students and see many, many smiles and excited faces. I see the kids confidence being boosted as they accomplish the task at their skill level. They are challenged and encouraged. Our instructor's name is Faith. She is doing great with her group. Looking around, I see many instructors with kids at different skill levels all doing great things with their students. I am very happy with this gym. The equipment is well padded, the gym has much to offer in a safe environment. They have an excellent observation area right on floor level where things can be seen and heard. There is also a play area for kids not in gymnastics and WiFi is offered to guests.

She assessed what the kids needed, started new classes to meet their training needs, and even purchased new equipment! It's so great to see these kids learning and loving gymnastics again! At Dana Mannix Gymnastics, it's actually about the kids! If you are looking for an amazing environment for your kids to be active and safe, while learning and growing in the sport of gymnastics, please give them a try!

Didn't we all dream of being Cirque du Soleil performers as kids? Just me? Anyway!…read more Cirque Indy offers classes in silks/slings and Lyra and trapeze. I participated in Sling 1, the entry level course that goes over the basics. They don't allow photos in the studio except for the end of class, so I'll describe the space as best as I can remember. There's a front room with silks, Lyra, and trapeze set up over a spring-loaded floor. They have rainbow string lights around the support beams on the ceiling where the apparatuses are mounted. Pride and BLM flags on the wall! The back room is smaller and will switch between silks and slings (silks that are a loop at the bottom instead of a knot). There's a setup for 9 of those in the back room, which also has a mirror. We started with a full body warm up in the front room and then the aerial warmup was on the slings. Instructor Emily is very good at coaching all the movements from warm up through finish in this class. Sling 1 starts with the basics of aerial movement with a lot of standing movements and some basic inversions. We learned a little combo at the end to try out, and even if you're somewhat athletic, you'll still be in for a challenge! On this review are some photos of me doing some inversions. It's actually quite secure on the sling!

They make it look so easy and our instructor Nicki did too. She was super nice and patient with us. It took a second(for me) to feel comfortable enough to try some of the moves but then I was ready to try everything lol. Its also a nice little workout. There was mild perspiration during the class and a couple of days later some minor aches from the forgotten muscles. Parking can be a lil tricky but there is a lot a little ways down from the studio if you can't find anything along the side of the building. This would be so much fun with a group of friends. It would've maybe been less intimidating to be in a group of people all at the same level but even the more experienced people in our class were helpful and supportive. Will definitely love to try it again.

A great company that came in and took over USA gym HQ from the Karoli family after it emerged how badly they've been abusing all of their gymnasts (including the horrific scandal with the Michigan State doctor sexually abusing hundreds of them). This is a solid and state of the art facility, and as friends of the program and with a friend who is actively currently on the program, and visitors twice now, we can say this is gold standard.

The new gym is huge and very well equipped. They have regular group lessons, but some of the instructors also do private lessons. Our daughter does level 1 travel team and has enjoyed it so much that she wants to continue to the level 2 travel team. We've never been to another gym, so I can't compare prices. All I know is IT AINT CHEAP! (lol) Team practice 2 x's per week, private lessons, team leotards, team warm-ups, team travel bag, hotels, etc. They do something unique. You can work in the concession stand for $10 or $15 per hour to be credited to your account, so that is very helpful. We have referred several of our daughter's classmates to join and they all seem happy as well.

My 4 year old daughter attended a birthday party at Gymnastics Unlimited today. The facility was…read moretidy and in good repair but seriously understaffed. There were two birthday parties occurring simultaneously, our group of 4 and 5 year olds along side another group of what appeared to be much larger older kids (maybe 8 or 9 year olds?) each group had well over a dozen members. The staffing was painfully sparse and consisted of merely a front desk woman and two teens on the gym floor. Upon arrival, we were greeted and immediately asked to fill out a waiver. I did inform the employee that this was our first visit. After receiving lack-luster instruction of rules and guidelines, we removed both mine, and my daughter's shoes/ socks, then headed to the tumbling room floor. Once on the floor, one of the teen employees approached quickly informing me, "All parents, except birthday child's parents, are to go upstairs in the viewing area." I was very hesitant to leave my 4 year old daughter and decided to mostly obey the girl's request by moving to the sidelines near the door. Once off to the side, I noticed NONE of the other 6 "non-birthday child parents" were asked to leave!! Not wanting to make a scene, I continued to watch carefully from the floor entrance. Here is what I witnessed: The teen girl employee only actively monitored one trampoline that was immediately in front of the foam pit. She repeatedly instructed my daughter to wait in line but did not appear at all concerned about how many children were already actually in the foam pit! I was very concerned because I did not want any of the little kids crushed by the much larger, considerably heavier older kids. While It is not reasonable to expect two girls to monitor a whole gym with over two dozen children running and jumping; it is also unreasonable to expect a small child to understand protocol and expectations in an alien environment. Why not allow parents to monitor their kids in an unobtrusive manner? Is it so difficult to also be consistent with the application of rules? I felt singled out, discriminated against and unwelcome. I had high hopes for Gymnastics Unlimited as a local, future scheduled, energy burn-off activity for my daughter but after today's off-putting experience, we will not be returning and would not recommend the facility to anyone wanting a safe experience for their young child.
