It is a beautiful place and just right for smallish weddings and also great for wedding pictures. The surrounding grounds have ponds, trees, arbors and animals. The wedding was nice, but they had a long-winded Jesus freak preacher that wasn't really necessary, but it is her first wedding and i guess he's from their church. Her wedding planner was a little weird too. No pic, multiple first dances and not just for the bride and groom, but the mothers, farthers and brothers. Then, at the end, they asked everyone to go outside so the bride and groom could have a private dance. But how private could it have been with the photographers still there taking pics and the dj playing the music? Well, i give the venue 5 stars anyway, just because i like the place and the owner i meet, is a nice guy. No, i didn't get any pics. When i had the chance, i forgot.

I was placed on the third floor, which wasn't a problem as the elevator worked just fine. I was handed a set of towels because apparently in their records towels had not been placed in the room, but when I got there I saw that there were plenty of towels already there. No problem... just meant I had spares. Everything was clean and tidy inside, the bed was very comfortable for the night, and I slept well. In the morning the continental breakfast was decent, not crowded, and enjoyable. If I am passing through Sulphur Springs again and need a place to stay, the La Quinta will be my choice next time.
