I feel quite well qualified to write this review as I had a saturday job in Jennings Rug shop as a…read moreteenager and was lucky enough to see a bit about how the shop was run etc The main thing to point out is that Jennings only sell good quality rugs so don't be expecting the bargain basement prices you might get through some shops and offers but they are definitely worth the extra cost. For starters they really know there rugs and travel round the world personally selecting them and secondly they will go to any length to make sure you get the right rug including unloading a stack of 100 rugs so you can see te one at the bottom - I know I had to do it! So if you are going to buy a rug and you can afford one that isn't junk it is definitely worth visiting Jennings even if it means a bit of a journey to get there.

The staff will let you take away samples so you can look at them at home. They always recommend that you look at a colour in the room in which you are going to lay it. The staff will either then come out and measure up for you, or you can take your own measurements and pass them on. They will then contact you to arrange for one of their fitters to come out and do the work. Their fitters are very friendly and they have no problem in moving furniture around to make your life a lot easier.

As with most small stores they can be quite expensive but they do also stock some value ranges which are probably quite popular. This store is really nice looking and a pleasure to shop in. Its really clean and well organised and its really easy to see whats available. the staff in the store are really well informd and do all they can to help make sure you are happy with your purchases highly reomended

The poor service culminated in our…read morehouse being left in a mess, an 7x3m carpet in our garden that we cannot lift, and £1500 out of pocket. It's a shame, because I have rung them twice to give them the opportunity to rectify the issues but they are not interested. It appears they will take your money quite happily and then not care about any after care. The process started with no communication from the shop about how we purchase are carpet the the process of it being fitted. We were told when to pay, and were informed the day before they do not accept card, but after stating we could transfer the money, the magically found a card machine (probably so you can cancel the payment for their terrible service). The carpet fitters arrived at 8:30am (which was fine, but it would have been nice to have known they were coming so early). They immediately stated that they couldn't start until the old carpet had been removed by me (again, not an issue, but would have been nice to know). They then didn't help move the furniture (as stated by the salesman they would). After fitting, they informed us that they wouldn't take the old carpet, and left all the offcuts lying around, and the house in a mess. At no point were we informed that the old carpet of offcuts would be left, and would have happily paid for this service. Additionally, the only "solution" they will off is for us to drop the old carpet at the shop, which does not solve our issue. A really terrible experience, and We are very disappointed at the complete lack of after sale care. What's worse, is the man on the phone would not stop interrupting me.

They do have a small range carpets of end of the rolls and reduced them by futher 10% reduction if you take away (they will fold them to fit in car) The staff are very helpful with give you advice on underlay etc and work out just how much you for all of us which flunked maths
