Showed up a few minutes before 5 pm. Asked if we could sit to eat. Was told the table was free till 6 pm, and we sat down. We sat down with menus, and then they were removed without explanation after we ordered drinks. It's dinner time with kids. Obviously, we are eating. When we asked about the menu, the server acted like he was unaware and was using translation barriers. He then informed us the table is only free till 530pm. Seems like we were being discriminated based on words we heard in the back bar. They could have just told us no when we asked instead they wanted us to order as if everything was fine so they could make a buck. read more

We went there without reservation and they told us they can't seat us. I called to make a reservation for 6 at 9pm. We arrived at 8:45 which we were told they are preparing the table for us. We stood outside waiting then around 8:58 someone came out and told us that they do not have a table for us. They don't even have a solution for us. It was really terrible service! read more

The only decent bar on the seafront in Nieuwpoort, good selection of beers, a carnivore's delight, all meats cooked on an open fire in the middle of the room, smelled sensational, didn't try but will do next time round. Cyclist friendly. read more
