I get massages there sometimes the students do real well in the instructors about as needed. I recommend you give them a try!

I usually have an absolutely amazing experience at TSPA, so I'm sad to write this. Last week I went in with a hair cut and color booked. I do this frequently and never have any issues. When I got there, I was told they didn't have time to do my color as I book the appointment wrong. Fine, I get it. My mistake I can move on. I rebook at the end of the appointment for the color, everything is good. I then get a call, 30 minutes before my appointment time, I'm in the process of leaving for this, and am told once again they don't have time. I'm beyond frustrated and honestly just hurt. 4 people, one of which was an instructor, was there when my color was rebooked for the time and everyone agreed then it would be enough time then. After this whole ordeal I have to say I've completely lost faith in TSPA. I've now moved my days around twice for nothing. I doubt I'll be returning, so here's to finding a new salon read more

I came in with a picture of what i wanted and got this..... i'm just disappointed by the lack of effort put in, you think a stylist would attempt to give you what you were looking for rather than just buzz everything off. I have naturally dark blonde hair and due to my work I usually only get a balayage and cut done once a year. Usually I find best rated salon with a person who specializes in blonde coloring. This time I was on a couple waitlists in Fargo and was chatting with my cousin who also does hair. She told me that students don't get to do balayages often. I figured I would try out tspa since I was running errands nearby that day. I am so glad I came in! Hanna C did a beautiful job, and she was very receptive to what I said rather than plowing through thinking she knew best like many experienced colorists I've worked with in the past. My friend did find one small spot that was kind of bluntly colored but it was barely visible. I loved the color and the tone she went with and I can tell it will grow out beautifully. She was also quick considering her experience level and the amount of hair I have! This was my first time having my hair done by a student ever and it was honestly better than a few experiences with 'experts.' There were consistent check-ins done by the experienced educators and they were always nearby to answer her questions. I was thoroughly impressed, especially because I paid probably 1/3 of what I would have normally paid! If you're on the fence, give them a chance! Your wallet will thank you! I recently visited the salon to get a lash extension fill. I have had extensions done by different students many, many times before at this salon and other salons. This was an experience like no other. This time the instructor was not around to supervise the student even though the student needed help. As a result, the student completely glued both of my eyes shut. My bottom lashes were glued to my top lashes in huge clumps. It was a nightmare. The student then called over the instructor. The instructor did her best to separate the lashes so that I could at least open my eyes. Fumes from all the glue burned my eyes  (basically black superglue). The instructor had the student lather my lashes in a glue remover (which also burned my eyeballs). Then the instructor had to rip the eyelashes apart with tweezers. I lost a significant amount of my natural eyelashes in the process. Needless to say this was VERY painful and felt very unsafe for my eyes. I was in tears as my eyes were burning and my eyelashes were being ripped out in clumps. Once the instructor removed all the lash extensions she sent me on my way with nothing but 3 sample packets of facial cleanser. (For all the clumps of super glue still left in my eyelashes). No offer to fix anything. I went to my car and looked at the damage. The photos are attached so you can see for yourself. I have huge clumps of black glue stuck in the top and bottom of my lashes, I lost a huge number of my natural lashes and I have a scar on the INSIDE of my waterline where I was poked with a sharp tweezers. I'm lucky my eye wasn't poked out. Please see the attached photos. After seeing this I went back in to the salon to speak with someone to see if there was anything they could do to make this right. The instructor's response verbatim was "You aren't the first and you won't be the last." I think that sums this experience up pretty well. They do not care that they messed up and they are aware they will do the same thing to more customers. After all, why should they care? They have you sign a document saying they aren't liable. So why would they care if they damage your eyes or lahes in the process? This woman acted like this was standard practice, and like I was crazy to be upset. The instructor was not shocked nor apologetic and acted like this is something that happens in their salon quite frequently. In conclusion, the instructor said that the service she provided today was "going above and beyond." I encourage you to look at the attached photos and see if you think this is true. read more

I'm 54 years old & just had my first experience with getting a facial from Aly Christianson! Aly was absolutely amazing! She made me feel so comfortable & was very knowledgeable with information as to why my skin was so dry. She set me up with all the necessities I need to help with my skin to regain its moisture. My skin has never felt so healthy! I've made upcoming appointments until Aly is graduated so I can continue to receive & learn excellent information as to keeping my skin feeling healthy! Will never consider attending again. Nothing about this place is professional. I called five times to get information about the part-time program. I was told that two part-time programs are just beginning and that I needed to call tomorrow. After calling, I spoke to educator Sarah but had to ask who she was and her title as she failed to introduce herself. I was told I needed to speak with registration about my questions. I asked for a supervisor to make a complaint about the lack of professionalism and the misinformation I received several times. I then spoke to educator Dawn who failed to let me talk and educated me 3+ times on an option I said would not work for me. I was informed that there was not a part-time program. After being cut off and talked over several times, I got upset and asked her to stop and to listen as she has failed to acknowledge the problem. I was told I was being rude, which I asked to speak to HR to make the complaint. I was told there was no one else, then was told I can email Jodi. I asked to be transferred to her line, a few moments later the call was picked up and hung up. I am glad this happened, now I can find a professional environment I can grow successfully in and cross this one off the list. read more

I went and got a hair cut there, the price is excellent and my haircut was amazing!! My hair is very thick and in the past I have gotten bad cuts from other places, so I was pleasantly surprised on how good my hair looks. I told my hair stylist I was going on a date so she even curled my hair for me after the cut. The staff are so nice and my appointment was right on time! I highly recommend going here. read more

Was actually my most terrible hair experience and I've been coloring my hair for many years and this was at most the worse hair coloring I've gotten. I asked for someone with level three experience and coloring experience to do my hair. I have blond hair and the girl ended up coloring my hair yellow and orange. I asked her to fix it three times and I left with my hair looking terrible. None of the teachers there or other hair stylist cared about my terrible hair and none of them fixed it. She tried toning it and it never changed from it's awful color. Seems like she didn't have any experience at all and had no idea what she was doing. Don't go here!! read more

I get eyelash extensions done at TSPA and they are always AMAZING! The lashes hold longer than when I've gotten them done at regular salons. The students doing them really take their time so they look long and luxurious. I would definitely recommend the school for anyone doing lash extensions! read more

I went to a student at the TSPA twice and really enjoyed her. I made a return appointment with her for a haircut and received no information from the school that my appointment was cancelled because the student was no longer there. I happened to know of the student outside of the school so she did let me know that the appointment was cancelled but not why. Therefore I called the school and rescheduled my appointment with this same student. They again scheduled me with this student even though she was no longer there and it took them 2 weeks to finally call me and tell me she was no longer there and wondering if I would like to reschedule with a different student. I would consider this to be very unprofessional. If they are trying to teach their students to be professional they are not leading by example. Very disappointed. I will not return there. read more

I just had my hair colored at TSPA in Fargo, ND. The service was less than I expected. I had a specific picture picked out and I had talked through the colors with my stylist and her educator. I was going for an overall cool, dark brown, which is what I usually have done there, plus some added highlights. I ended up with a very poorly done balayage. Now, I understand this is a school, so I wasn't expecting my hair to be absolutely perfect, but I expected more from the students and educators. My hair came out with a reddish/brown color in my roots which then faded poorly into a bright caramel/blonde. You could see the distinct lines from the colors changing halfway down my head. My outcome was nothing compared to the picture I had showed. The educators need to be more involved with their students. Instead of having separate educators sign in on what their students are doing and having another sign out, they need to have 1 educator follow all the way through and be more available for help/tips. In addition, when I got home I was so upset that I could not call to complain let alone talk to them in person. My mom had called and it took 4 days to get a manager to call her back and they have yet to call me back to discuss the problem. I DO NOT recommend getting your hair colored here. read more

They royally fucked up my hair, they put to many bobby pins in my hair as well as matted my hair and its super tangled. I know that they are a learning academy, but I would rather have a 3 year old do my hair over these people any day 0/10 stars they are awful don't recommend! read more
