They provide direct services in food distribution, transportation, affordable housing, so many services for those who have financial issues. They receive a lot of grants from a number of organizations but it is clearly not enough. Their food bank recently ran out and they joined forces with other local nonprofits by using their transportation system to distribute food that other organizations had in stock. They are a team player with other nonprofits in the area. They look to create a support system that assist those in need in our area.. They even have a thrift store in Sylva North Carolina that needs donations. It is one way that they build revenue to help others. They are the organization that provides home repairs for those in financial need. They also build local affordable homes. I highly recommend supporting this nonprofit organization

Framed pictures from 10-20.00 It needs to be cleaned out, painted, cleaned and sanitized and then remove the hundred dollar numbers from the pricing gun. When things don't move they are priced way too high. Maybe try a bag sale on the clothing and move it out, reduce the couches and furniture to 25.00 and get them out. The back supply room has cans of spray paint for 5.00, which is the price for brand new at the store. I think if you try to reduce and move out the merchandise and give the store a deep clean you will make more money in the long run.

The Collider is a nonprofit organization , an innovation center that is focused on cataloging market driven climate solutions . Their headquarter is in "climate city" Asheville. They believe that climate solutions must be founded in the best possible science and the language of everyday business. It exists to bring together a diverse expertise to stimulate new business. The Collider is in the center of downtown on the fourth floor of the Wells Fargo Bank. In addition to a cowork space they also have an event space. That's where I come in. This is where they offer movies, talks , workshops and more. We watched the Movie " the Human Element " there an environmental movie from James Balog a National Geographic Photographer ( it was great, eye opening and scary , thought provoking) . I also visited there at a talk about the behavior of cats. This is what I like about it, the diversity and community. So far I always came out of the elevator to a little donation table where you can also sign up for the news letter and then free Beer , water and snacks. The people there are nice and helpful and the event space large. I look forward to go to many more events here!

I fight down a panic and try to not feel numb. For me, thrift stores are an antidote. This thrift store has been rearranged. It is bigger now. More space to move. Clothing was hung by color or print. Most stuff is arranged in certain categories and labeled. Small, framed pictures were hard to get to. Scarfs were overflowing. You have to put in an effort in some areas still, but overall, the makeover of this shop is a great improvement. There is even a unisex bathroom now! However, the sink was not working. Not ideal, pandemic or no pandemic. No no if you have to go go. The dressing rooms were not open. Not sure why. Rampant theft of six-year-old Old Navy blouses, or just HCM trying not to entice people to share small spaces with abated breaths. The reason that I removed one star is because one of the cashiers is INCREASING THE PRICES AT HER DISCRETION. Her doing that is immoral and may even be unlawful. I let her get away with it with the book I was buying. The price had been reduced by half, but she added a quarter. However, just about twenty minutes ago, my daughter told me that the cashier did the same with her craft items. I know that HCM has to fix the sink, but I draw the line at scamming a kid. I feel good that by us shopping here, we are supporting people in times of crises. But I don't have to support a con. I will return when I can clean my hands and HCM cleans their souls.
