I like to sift through these kinds of things to find a bargain. Surprisingly, maybe for a charity shop but this place also has a changing room. So, if you do decide to get some clothes, you can try them on first with privacy. The shop is quite long but narrow so the shelves are quite close together, making the place feel a bit like a jumble sale at times. The staff are pleasant and always helpful if you need assistance, for example, bagging your goods or even directing to to another shop if they know they have something you are after.

It doesnt look much from the outside but is deceptively big when you step inside it. Theres always a friendly and chat lady or gent behind the counter, and more often than not they will have a very good idea of what items are on the racks and shelves if youre after something in particular when you visit. On the other hand, if you cant see what youre after then as often as not they are hapy to have a look out the back in the storeroom to see if they have what youre looking for. Prices are remarkably reasonable, often very cheap indeed so i always feel like ive got a bargain (not something you always feel with some other charity shops). If ive done exceptionally well here im moer than happy to leave a donation in the tin on the counter. It has a very good range of hardback and paperback books, CDs and DVDs/videos, as well as clothes and toys.

I can never quite make my mind up about these shops, sometimes I enter to find them full of tat I would only expect to see on sale at a seaside resort, other times I find them full of unique statement pieces that are a bargain and would look great in my home. This variety and speedy turnover of stock makes for a great visit either way though as you just never know what you will find. I bought my prospect summerball (not sophisticated) dress from Cafe Society. The staff told me to try it on and then made some endearing conversation as I paid for the dress.
