*Be Careful where you buy Groupons*
First of all, let me make this clear, I hardly ever write reviews. I just don't have the time and unless a place is just really, really awful then I won't waste my time. I give people a break for a bad day or an off day. I'm not that person. But today is my Anniversary...and I'm off work...and I have plenty of time...and I'm pissed.
I bought a groupon for this place on March 21st for a couples massage to celebrate my anniversary. I called the (817)791-8080 on several occasions to make an appointment and never received a call back. Even after leaving two messages (1st Red Flag). By the end of March I started to get worried because I couldn't figure out how to make an appointment and I read the reviews, they looked good, and I got a great deal so I was excited to try this place out. I could've went to any of a hundred massage rooms in my area but I use Groupon a lot and this place looked good.
Finally, I went to the website and was able to schedule an appointment for April 2nd at 9 am. We were very excited to try this establishment. My wife and I both took off work so we could celebrate our anniversay. Unfortunately on the morning of our massage, our youngest daughter had a fever and couldn't go to school. I realized that we weren't going to make our scheduled 9am massage time so I called the merchant at 725 a.m. to speak with someone or leave a message. No answer. I left a voicemail detailing the situation but I didn't feel that was enough. The recording said I could text the same number I called so I did. That text went out at 732 a.m. Please see the photos of both the call and the text. At that point, I awaited confirmation that our appointment was cancelled and was hoping we could arrange to reschedule for a later date. At 952 a.m. I received a simple "OK" response to my text message. That didn't alarm me. What alarmed me was the email I received next saying "Your Appointments have been marked as "No Show" due to: you text after 9am.. it should have be before you appointment time not after...will not be able to reschedule you for this Groupon voucher." At this point I decide to make a call to the merchant to get an explanation since I definitely called, left a voicemail and sent a text ALL BEFORE 9 (please see screenshots in photos). So I called and was surprised to hear someone answer the phone. The first time I have ever spoken to anyone at this establishment (2nd Red Flag). Not only did this person, who's name I failed to catch, seem to imply that my messages were not received, she also didn't care that I had photo proof that my messages did in fact go out before my scheduled appointment time. She was rude and her customer service skills were lacking. No offer to reschedule, no I'm sorry your daughter is sick and you can't make it, nothing was offered. Just a simple "too bad and you should've called before your appointment". I stayed on the phone only briefly at that point and we traded a few unpleasant text messages. Nothing major but a serious lesson learned. The lack of communication after purchasing my Groupon was a major indicator of what kind of customer service this place practices. I was turned off by that alone. The way they didn't offer to reschedule my couples massage was also in poor taste. I expressed to the receptionist that there are several massage parlors in the DFW area so for her to treat a customer with such indifference is beyond me. Needless to say, I'm an Air Force/Disabled veteran that lives in this community and get massages frequently. I also have many vets as friends in the area who enjoy massages AND great customer service. This place won't get my money and I'll be sure to share this experience with my friends as well. read more
