The Shops at Columbus Circle is easily one of the most gorgeous and well-designed shopping centers in the city. The layout is clean, modern, and easy to navigate, and the atmosphere feels upscale without being overwhelming. Every visit feels effortless -- from the open views to the overall vibe, they've definitely created something special here. That said, there is room for more. More stores, more variety, and a bit more energy in the service across certain shops would take this place from great to truly exceptional. You can feel the potential -- like the space could easily support a wider selection and a slightly more attentive customer experience. Still, what is there is solid, stylish, and worth the trip. The overall experience, the setting, and the convenience absolutely make it a 5-star destination. I've visited this shopping center many times as I drop in to purchase running gear and gels at Fleet Feet. It's basically a more high end shopping center with many fancy stores for those who can afford it. There are some restaurants and specialty shops and kiosks, along with a Whole Foods on the lower level. Oh, and there are clean public bathrooms up on the third floor which is always good to know. read more

Been here so many times especially during the holidays... nicely decorated with the holiday lights and light show every hour with music. Variety of shops that seem to change every so often. Seems lately more and more stores have closed to make way for new ones. Easy to get to via the train one just takes the train to Columbus Circle... There are several levels here - lower level is Whole Foods for your grocery shopping needs. Main level - shops like Williams Sonoma (kitchen and bakeware), Sporting goods and Clothing stores, bank branch opening soon, Shake Shack coming soon. 2nd and 3rd floor is pretty empty - CAMP which had 2 floors earlier, went down to 1 floor and now closed. Sephora is also now closed. There is also an information desk on the main floor if you need help finding anything. Restaurants on the upper levels... best to make reservations as they do fill up quickly. This is a 4-story shopping mall located right at Columbus Circle. It features over 50 retail stores, restaurants and even a gym. The entire lower level is a beautiful Whole Foods. Open Monday - Saturday from 10 - 8 and Sunday from 11 -7. The shops include a wide variety of moderate and higher end luxury stores. Theres Hugo Boss, Michael Kors, Coach, H & M and a Sephora, just to name a few. It's touristy since it's right across from Central Park, but I always stop in for a little retail therapy when I'm close by. The escalator down takes you directly into Whole Foods. It's a great place to get cold bottled water and some snacks. There's also a nice sitting area if you want to grab a quick lunch. read more

Shopped for Men's clothing here @ Columbus Circle, N.Y. during a rainy Christmas 2023. These Shops are splendid! The entire mall is a three level concourse with coffee shops, arts, writing supplies and tea stations, cake offerings mixed in. No seats. Not all shops open at the same hour. It's a little bit confusing when which store opens. All stores are clean and prices are average. There's an Under Armor, H&M, Banana Republic, chocolate stores and electronics. The shops bathrooms are beautiful and always clean. I can always find something to eat here. There's cool art installations periodically. I have taken lots of photos over the years. This place is a nice respite from the rush, the sounds, and the smells of New York. It's a classic suburban style mall with several pieces of public art and sculpture to see. The have a whole store of Moleskine products and a Papier store, both of which caught my attention. This is also a place with clean, safe public bathrooms if you find yourself in need in the area. We were there for the Momofuku Noodle Bar, which also did not disappoint. There's also an awesome view of Columbus Circle from the second story front balcony. read more

I like this place it's one of the only "mall like" we have in NYC. The shops here are great they have diesel, H&M, Sephora, MAC, Michael kors, Coach , Eileen Fisher , boss , Jcrew , Whole Foods and more!! They also have restaurants and bakeries here. The usually open from 10-9pm and weekends 11-7pm. It's a good way for shopping, restroom stops, coffee breaks and looking at their gigantic naked statues. The place also has views for the thanksgivings parades. I would recommend taking the train here the Parking May be a little bit difficult to find. When I'm unsure of what to do exactly (whether to shop, have coffee/drink, grab a meal) and I have some time in my hands, this place is most likely one of my choices. It's just the right amount of space, doesn't feel overwhelmingly big, plus it's always bright and charming. Sephora, J Crew/Madewell, H&M are my favorite stores here. And then there's Bouchon for coffee and pastries. Or Whole Foods downstairs if you need to do some grocery shopping. The restrooms are at the further end of Bouchon and have always looked clean and well-maintained. Best part? It's literally commuter's heaven. The 59th St Columbus Circle stop is right across the street and literally a stones throw from our favorite, Central Park. Love that it's even more festive now with the holiday decorations. There's a website for that. On one hand it's just a mall. On the other hand, it's a pretty darned upscale mall. We're not big shoppers, but we are big lookers and this place is beautiful. Soaring walls of glass, filling the space with light. Go see the opposing statues of Adam and Eve by Columbian artist Fernando Botero. Quite impressive. read more

The Shops at Columbus Circle is one of the few indoor shopping malls in the city - it is in Columbus Circle, opposite Central Park and off Fifth Avenue, so it is in a rather good location in the city. There is also a subway stop just outside which is handy. The mall mainly features designer and expensive brands, including some really expensive restaurants on an upper floor which for me is uncommon and strange - going to restaurants within a mall isn't the most luxury/high-end experience to start with. Brands here include one of my favourite Hugo Boss stores, and sadly one of the worst Whole Foods branches I've visited - other brands include Amazon Books, Bose, Sephora and H&M - there was also a bank inside. I didn't find the mall particularly easy to navigate with some floors having no guide, making it a little strange - there was a security section within the mall which I presume led to some form of offices. A mall in a good location and is one of the few again in NYC - but overall not that impressive at all.I do prefer Westfield at the World Trade Centre and that's saying something! 2* read more

I love the Shops at Columbus Circle! This high-end mall has beautiful retail stores, marbled floors, clean restrooms, and a Whole Foods! The view of Central Park from the 2nd or 3rd floor is gorgeous! During the holidays, The Shops decorate with floor-sized stars that change colors and play Christmas music. Sometimes there is an art display scattered on the first floor like The Waves sponsored by La Mer or the giant Eggs. They also share space with the Jazz at Lincoln Center. SACC hosts some of the most expensive restaurants in New York. But don't be intimidated by the expensive stores and restaurants. Most New Yorkers may grab a drink at the bar, eat at Landmarc or Whole Foods and go upstairs to gape at the menu at Per Se. L'Occitane often has deals and sales during the holidays. They also host a H and M, a Microsoft store and an Amazon store is coming soon! Also, Whole Foods has hot food bar and a gastropub/bar inside that is clean, spacious and serves a inexpensive delicious lunch or dinner. SACC isn't perfect, often times the hallways are crowded. The Whole Foods gets crowded during lunch time and after work. But it is a wonderful place to come people watch and grocery shop. read more

Not the best dining options, or well really they are good I think, just very too much expensive for me. One of my favourite malls due to location and they have nice clean bathrooms with tv in the mirror so you can catch up on news. I used to work right by this mall so would come in almost every day to grab lunch (Whole Foods), peruse makeup (Sephora), look at clothing (JCrew), have a casual coffee date (Bouchon Bakery), or find the latest bestsellers (Amazon Bookstore). I've also visited Momofuku Noodle Bar a couple times with coworkers and it's a nice midpoint restaurant in the mall (which it had been lacking before, between the affordable yet casual Whole Foods and Bouchon, and the very upscale Landmarc, Per Se, etc). A lot of these stores you could find in your typical suburb, but it is nice to have them all in one place, vertically. The real gem is that the third floor can be a quiet haven in a bustling part of the city. I used to take personal phone calls on that floor and always felt I had enough privacy and not a lot of ambient noise up there. read more

Ahh, springtime in New York. It's a beautiful weekend in April and our plans are to take a ferry over to Ellis Island and then knock around Central Park the rest of the day. The date is Sunday, April 15, 2007. When we turn in on Saturday night after a long day and late night taking in a comedy show, it is starting to rain. When we wake, it is pounding rain. I pop down to the Starbucks in the lobby, have a look around outside. Streets are flooding. We make some calls; ferry is canceled today. Central Park? Not looking good. Plans for the day scrapped. We later find out Central Park got record rains that day, somewhere around 8 inches. Quick alternate indoor plans for a few hours? Somehow we decide to check out the Shops in the Time Warner Center, have a look at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel which is in the building as well. Our cab has a blow-out just short of Columbus Circle. Despite umbrella's we are soaked by the time we get into the building. Things I didn't like about the Time Warner Center: 1. I've been to Malls, I don't care for Malls. New Yorkers, you've got to hook me up with good places to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon in Manhattan. 2. The place feels small and cold, like many of the clerks in the high-end shops. 3. The place feels barren and kind of empty, also like the high-end shops. 4. In this monolithic expression of wealth and power, the Time Warner Building, the only places where there seems to be much activity are Borders and Whole Foods. Things I liked about the Time Warner Center: 1. Going in to Border's and finding my wife's published work in an anthology that just came out...very cool. 2. Even during a downpour the view is nice from the Mandarin and from the 4th floor. 3. The Whole Foods had the largest variety of prepared food I've ever seen at a market like this. Decent place to grab lunch. 4. The statues of a woman and a man in the entry. One of the great things about NYC is the public art. As I have a background in Psych and Communication, from a purely cultural and behavioral perspective I was intrigued by all the passers-by admiring the statues. I'm not sure if this is a local ritual or just a manifestation of some inner workings but, well, the patina is worn off the statue in only one place. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this as a place to check out in Manhattan. I would only say that the Whole Foods is a quick & reasonable lunch spot if you happen to be in the area. An upscale mall that makes a great pit stop of shopping and eating between destinations. Great restroom stop when running around the city. 2nd and 3rd floors, on the north and south ends of each floor of the mall area. Don't use the Whole Foods bathrooms in the basement. They're dirty, smelly, 1 stall with a broken door, and sometimes attract homeless people. I remember well over a decade ago when the Time Warner center was still under construction and the area around Columbus circle seemed a bit dated. Fast forward almost 15 years later (wow does time ever fly) and now you have these two glass towers and the first impression from a pedestrian's point of view are the Shops at Columbus Circle. For a lobby and lower levels of a building complex it's pretty impressive having these shops all clustered about as this multipurpose complex is just that, complex. It's not just an office tower, a residence or a hotel, a gym, a grocery store or restaurants or as simple as just saying a building lobby because it's just so much more. Taken as it is, the Shops at Columbus circle is not a full blown shopping mall but it's definitely more than one could expect at the base of a building. While there are a good handful of complete Whole Foods stores in Manhattan, here's yet another one to spruce up the hood. Nothing says good living like good food. Small shops like L'Occitane, Jo Malone, Swarovski, Coach and Cole Haan may be common in shopping malls but you also have your larger foot print stores like H&M, Sephora and Williams Sonoma. With 8 places to eat that's another huge plus. Looking back at how the Time Warner center and the Shops co-mingle it sort of reminds me of the good old John Hancock Center in Chicago. You have a place where in theory you could work, live, eat, sleep, exercise, shop and do all that without ever having to go outside. From the shopper's perspective though it's not as diverse as say 900 North Michigan in Chicago in that there's no "department anchor" that is if you want to consider H&M that. Realistically you don't need to have that in this footprint because NYC is the home to Bloomies just down the street and Macy's on 34th if you think about it. read more

This is a really beautiful and artistic indoor shopping arena. My favorite Whole Foods is located downstairs but upstairs in breathtaking. Beautiful shops and amazing art. There is a little candy shop that makes up beautiful little boxes of European chocolates. I can always find treats to bring home and unique things to look at. This is one of those places that you can find anything and it feels very nice being here. This is one of the special places I've found a happy comfort level. You'll find everything here! 3.5 stars I'll never understand big city folks who travel to other big cities & spend loads of precious time shopping at stores they have in their own backyard (H&M, Louis Vuitton, Coach, etc.) I am a necessity shopper -- I'll hit up the closest MAC if I ever forgot to pack my eyeliner; a lingerie shop if my bra wire decides to give up on me; or anyplace with a decent coat selection if it's colder than I packed for. If I shop while traveling (& that's a huge IF), I prefer to peruse & patronize shops unique to the city I'm in. I've come to the Time Warner Center for casual snacks at Bouchon & a not-so-casual lunch at Per Se. I also found myself buying comfortable shoes at New York Running Company when my Nikes were rubbing my feet the wrong way one summer & shopping for shampoo & SPF at Aveda when I didn't have enough room to pack those items in my carryon. The shops here are the same ones you'd find at most semi-upscale malls & shopping areas, so I wouldn't recommend if you're looking for something "boutiquey" or one-of-a kind. So I needed a place to park my mom and grandma while dude and I snuck away to our date at Levain. I figured they could rest their feet and take a look at the shops. When I came back to pick them up, they said the had trouble finding a place to sit and they resorted to buying coffee at whole foods downstairs to find a seat. I didn't take a good look at the whole place but there were definitely pockets that could have used benches. Upscale shopping complex located in the heart of Columbus Circle. The shops mostly are very high end which makes a sense since they are in such a posh neighbourhood. I normally go here to go to Whole Foods. Though I have picked some stuff at the Armani store in the past. I love the Bounchon Bakery located on the topmost floor which offers some really nice bakery goods. Be prepared to shell out some extra bucks if you are parking your car close to the circle. read more

Lots of stores here with an interesting mix of things to choose from. For the most part it's a pricey, designers paradise complete with great restaurants & retail shops & a fantastic Whole Foods downstairs. But there is a (sometimes largely forgotten) H&M here. In comparison though to other H&Ms it's really not that great though, but it serves its purpose and seeing as I work nearby - has gotten me out of some outfit jobs. I feel though as if there men's department is drastically better than their women's department, but the lingerie pickins' here are pretty good if you're going the cute, fun and cost-efficient route. Fancy-pants stores and services aside, The Shops at Colombus Circle (ie. The Time Warner Center) also hosts some of NYC's most famous (and super duper expensive) restaurants in which world-renowned chefs who are masters in their craft make fancy-pants food for fancy-pants people. This place has a ton of very upscale shops so if that's not your thing then you may find it lacking. Whole Foods in the basement is great. Upstairs you'll find an impressive array of restaurants. Bouchon is a great bakery and lunch place. Landmarc has great food at pretty reasonable prices. Stone Rose is a very upscale lounge with strong drinks, attractive staff and great views of the park. It's also home to some of the most expensive restaurants in Manhattan and I'm afraid I'll leave the review of them to those with bigger expense accounts.
