Working with Teresa Carson was a wonderful experience. As I searched for a home in a new city,…read moreTeresa offered her wisdom and insight without ever trying to steer me in any one direction. She was not only professional and knowledgeable, but also thoughtful, forthright, and always respectful of my time (which was very limited) and my budget...also very limited. What really set Teresa apart was her sharp eye and honesty. She likely saved me from a serious financial loss (and potential health problems) by identifying a critical issue in a home I was ready to make an offer on. That alone showed how much she truly had my best interests at heart and not just to make a sale. Beyond that, Teresa was responsive, attentive, and a lot of fun to work with. Thanks to her, I was able to make one of the biggest decisions for me and my family with confidence and peace of mind. I highly recommend having Teresa on your team--whether you're buying, selling, renting, or even building a home.

It's unfortunate with all the good reviews for this place, we did not receive that same service…read more However, this is specifically about Michael Said who represents himself as part of this business. We were waiting on a house to move into and needed a temporary place to stay. Initially we felt fortunate to find this place as it was reasonably priced and we could rent it for six months. It was freshly painted but infested with cock roaches. Each time we notified Mr. Said, he did ultimately arrange for pest control. There were light switches that did not work, a closet door that would come off it's rails, missing drawer handles and we would find mice/rat feces in some cupboards in the kitchen. Mr. Said would have a maintenance person come out and fix things but typically not without multiple requests. But, we were only going to be there for a few months and we figured we would just tough it out. We barely unpacked since we were going to move again in a few short months. More than 30 days prior to our lease ending, we did notify Mr. Said that we would be leaving and not extend the lease. We also requested a "walk through" with Mr. Said. While he acknowledged the 30 day notice, he never responded to the walk through. On December 19th, more than ten days before the lease would end, we vacated the property but Mr. Said would not agree to meet. Ultimately, we left the keys under the door mat on December 21 as per Mr. Said's request. This was a full days before the lease was to expire and more than enough time for Mr. Said to walk through himself or with me to identify anything he felt should be addressed before the leased ended on December 31. But Mr. Said did not do this. On January 28, 2023 we received our refund and it was minus: - $150 for cleaning - $300 for "touch up paint" - $300 "yard cleaning & dead landscaping replacement" Given the constant cock roaches and rodent feces, I find the $150 cleaning to be excessive but we are not asking for that back. However, the place was newly painted and we never hung anything on the walls. There was absolutely not damage done to any walls that would necessitate any "touch up painting". The $300 is absurd and the lease specifically states "normal wear and tear expected". But there were no areas that needed touch up paint. It was winter when we moved out; Austin had just experienced several days of temperatures in the teens. You cannot possibly ascertain between landscaping that was dead versus dormant. However, there is no landscaping so I'm not even sure what they are claiming. There are two trees in the front and a big tree in the back. There are no shrubs, flowers or what they call "landscaping". While there might have been leaves on the ground, that's unavoidable at that time of year and no matter how often we could have cleaned up leaves from the trees, there would always be leaves. But there was no landscaping that arises to the $300 deduction Mr. Said took. I am a disabled Veteran who served 30 years for this country and it's appalling when people like Mr. Said take advantage of people. Again, I am posting this as Mr. Said represents himself as Realty Austin and for anyone who might do business with them, just to be aware of the practices of some of their people, specifically Mr. Said.

James reviewed our house, told us what we need to do, listed it and sold our house in less than a week! We could not be happier with James! Where do I start with James! LOL. I'm not even sure how I can describe all he's done for us…read morebecause its frankly gone beyond the scope of his job as a real estate agent. We met James by chance after requesting to view a home on realtor.com. We immediately liked his style and personality and decided to work with him full-time to sell our home and purchase a new home (we just closed today, yipeee). He is one of the most friendly, understanding and authentic people I have ever met and made the entire home buying/selling experience about as seamless as I can imagine it being. We were in a pickle because we needed to sell our home before buying a new one and in THIS crazy housing market, a "contingency" is just unattractive and difficult. We learned that the hard way when we put an offer on the first house we loved and didn't make the cut. Thankfully, with James spot on pricing and beautiful photos etc, he sold our home in TWO DAYS! He got us an outstanding deal that we just couldn't believe. We were baffled by how savvy he was in negotiating things for our sale. We were extremely happy to say the least! James was always available when we needed him or had any questions about the process of buying. A home popped up on his radar and before the listing agent even had all the photos, he had scheduled a showing for us. He knew we would love the home and he was right lol. Before midnight that night, he had written up an offer and submitted it. We were so fast even the sellers were shocked. We ended up getting this home (we are SOOOO excited) and we sincerely feel that it was because he was very punctual and attentive that we were able to be first in line. The home received many other offers but with James' help we got it all done. Beyond all of this, James has become a friend. He golfs with my husband and is truly an enjoyable person to be around. We are so glad we met him! Definitely will recommend him to anyone who needs a realtor as you will not find a more attentive real estate agent. He makes you feel like you are his only client!

We came in not knowing the areas, the differences between neighborhoods, or even what type of home made the most sense for us long term. Julie helped us break it all down in a way that was easy to understand. She was very knowledgeable about different neighborhoods, school districts, and what each area actually offers. That helped us narrow things down quickly without feeling like we were guessing. One of the biggest things she helped us with was understanding the pros and cons of new construction versus existing homes. She walked us through taxes, long term costs, and what to expect in each scenario, which gave us a lot more confidence in our decisions. She also did a great job balancing both my preferences and my wife's. That's not easy, but she stayed patient and helped us find common ground without ever pushing us. We also spent part of the process renting, and she supported us through that phase too, which we really appreciated. Overall, she's thoughtful, informed, and genuinely cares about helping you find the right fit. Highly recommend.

The home buying process is a roller coaster of challenges and I can't imagine making it through it all without Les by our side. Alfonso and I had multiple conversations throughout about how great Les is and how lucky we were to have him on our side. Les is the most honest, trust worthy and loyal realtors I've ever met. No bullshit, no lies, just an amazing person who wants to help others find their dream homes. As a first time buyer I thought, 'I don't have a million dollars to spend, no one is going to really help us, we'll just be that small account on the side.' I was so so wrong. Les cares for every client he has, he's there for you every step of the way. Any fears or concerns you have, are his too. In person, over the phone, even over text, he becomes part of your family. We had a less than ideal buying process. We set out for a new home with a builder and it was one of the tougher things we've dealt with. They were pushy, they were rude and at one point we almost pulled out of the deal. The entire time, Les was there, picking up the pieces, making tough calls and keeping us confident. I know for a fact, without Les I wouldn't be sitting here today, the early part of 2017 in a brand new home. Alfonso and I moved to Austin with hopes of buying our first home, and Les made it happen. We couldn't be more thankful for everything he did. He truly feels like a family member, someone we care for and will continuously be in touch with. I highly recommend working with Les if you plan on finding a home in Austin, he'll be your source of information and you'll be more than thrilled with the results.

I left Shannon a 5* review on her brokerage yelp page but want to make sure that nobody misses it…read morehere either. Where to start with Shannon Reeve and how fantastic she is? Let's take it back to early last year when we first connected with her. Shannon had just successfully bought and sold a home for our dear friends. Within two conversations, we realized why they appreciated Shannon. We went to Austin, checked out the area, looking at our options, and returned to our home state, convinced we wanted to live there. Weeks and months went by where we'd ping Shannon with a home, ask her for her insights, and then determine that the Austin market was too hot. Homes were almost without fail moving well above the asking price, and cash buyers were making it impossible for us to compete. Summer and fall of 2021 came and went, and we decided to move to a different state altogether. One thing followed another, and we kept coming back to...Austin. Shannon answered our call, followed up with us, gave us an entire run down on where things were heading, and immediately set us up for success. We'd also prepared in advance this time, and her expertise came into full display. She expertly advised us on market dynamics in the neighborhoods we considered, provided us local insight, and spoke to other agents to best position us. After all of that, she found us the perfect home. We now live in a home that is truly perfect for us. It's in a beautiful community, we are well within our budget, and our future outlook is net positive in Austin. We purchased the home at an excellent price and felt incredibly well taken care of throughout the process. Having engaged a few different realtors in different states to consider our options, we're convinced that Shannon Reeve is at the absolute top of her profession. Shannon's a genuinely great person to boot, kind, caring, empathetic, and overall someone you want on your side when making a decision of this magnitude.
