Brisket, french fries and green beans

This place is a gem. I love their brisket and pork ribs, which are well seasoned and tender. The blueberry corn muffin is a great side without being too crumbly. Staff are super friendly and the place feels welcoming.

I missed their BBQ so had to visit for moist, juicy and delicious brisket. Plus, their ribs, sausage and blueberry cornbread were also outstanding and tasty. Staff were friendly and attentive. The ambiance is bright, airy and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Omaha Prime Beef Brisket, House Cream Corn, Blueberry Cornbread, 1/2 Rack Baby Back Pork Ribs & Sautéed Green Beans 04-25-2026

We try to arrive just before the doors open because it gets swamped quickly! This is a smallish operation. There are probably less than 10 tables total. No patio or outdoor options. Parking is free in the lot shared with other businesses in the area. Throughout the years, we've been quite satisfied with the BBQ and sides here. Everything seems to be consistent. They have a somewhat limited menu, so I think that helps with consistency. We used to get the Sampler Plates, but they don't offer them any more. Variety is the spice of life and we'd rather have the variety than eat just one type of protein! We still managed to get what we wanted by ordering differently. On our most recent visit, we ordered: 1/2 Rack Baby Back Pork Ribs with Sautéed Green Beans - the ribs were very tender & succulent. The green beans were way over seasoned, as in super salty! Would've been better with less salt. *1/4lb Hot Link - very delicious. We didn't have any leftover to take home. *Omaha Prime Beef Brisket - cooked nicely! We were a little surprised it didn't come to the table hot. I think the staff was too busy to bring out food in a timely manner. *House Cream Corn - I loved that this is served in a crock and it stayed very hot throughout the meal! The corn is tasty! *Blueberry Cornbread - a little more dense than I remembered, but they were good. These are like cornbread muffins. TIP: Pay with CASH for savings on your bill. Our $72 bill came down to $69. The main issue we had was with the service. When the restaurant opened, things went smoothly. As more and more people arrived and To-Go orders were being taken and packaged, service really went downhill. From food not being served when ready to waiting for boxes & the check, it affects the experience. Most important is to bring out the (hot) food when it is ready!! Other factors are less problematic. Anyways, we will be returning because we like the food and it is satiates our BBQ cravings.

Half pound of brisket and added a hot link for $6 and an order of beef ribs

The service was extremely fast and the server was friendly and had the nicest smile. Even though we came 30 minutes before closing time, they were still very friendly and accommodating, and we did not feel rushed at all. We ordered brisket, beef ribs, and we added a hot link for six dollars. For the sides, we had the hot and gooey, mac & cheese, fresh crispy, coleslaw, and a hot blueberry muffin with a side of butter. The food was absolutely phenomenal. The meat melts in your mouth with so much flavor. As soon as I took a bite into the mac & cheese, my taste buds exploded. I can't wait to come back and try so many more of their items. Also, the restaurant is very clean and the AC was on high. Thank you for the rate dinner. We will come back!!

i was craving american food after my japan trip and this was my first meal back and BOI IT WAS FYYYYEEEEE got the babyback pork ribs with zucchini and mashed potatoes & the chicken thigh with mac n cheese the babyback ribs were FYEEE! so juicy and tender, the meat melted off the bone zucchini was so good, perfectly seasoned and had the best char mashed potatoes were yummy! highkey the chicken thighs were my favorite. SO SEXY SO CRISPY AND THE FLAVOR??? the seasoning was SO amazing, like idk what they used but the skin was crispy and crunchy with a lot of flava. straight jam packed. chef put their entire bussy in that ho mac n cheese was so good, so creamy and the perfect side for the cronchy chikon their bbq sauce was so good... LUV service was rly great, our server was rly helpful when we asked a bunch of questions & was very attentive. this is the perfect spot for group dinners or a cute date!

The most driest bbq I've ever had. Even Lucille's bbq is more tender than this. You need to douse the brisket and the ribs to even get it down easily. We bought a pound of brisket, rack of baby back ribs, 4 chicken, & 4 sides. The brisket was the driest with barely any fat and was so stiff, when you lift it up it stays straight. Ribs were so dry, so disappointed since there was hella good reviews. The only thing that was edible was the chicken. The season was nice and the chicken was actually moist and good. The sides were mid, the cream corn straight up was just 70% mayo/cream and 30% corn. Mac and cheese taste like box Mac. So disappointing...

SmoKING Ribs BBQ is a solid, no-frills barbecue stop with some real highs and a few misses. Located in a strip mall with plenty of parking, the space itself is decently sized with around 10 tables. It's clean and comfortable, but don't expect anything particularly memorable in terms of ambiance--this place is clearly about the food. We came on a Saturday specifically for the beef ribs, since many BBQ spots only offer them on Sundays. Unfortunately, this is where expectations weren't fully met. The beef ribs were underwhelming--they lacked the hefty meatiness you usually hope for. While the price point was more affordable, it showed in portion size. I would've loved to see more meat on the bone to justify ordering them again. That said, the brisket absolutely delivered. It was tender without being crumbly, had creamy marbling, a beautiful mahogany bark, and a legit pink smoke ring. Easily the highlight of the meal and proof they know how to handle brisket. A few hiccups: * They were out of BBQ pulled pork and the blueberry corn muffins, which were supposed to come with the 1/2 rack BBQ beef ribs * We substituted garlic mashed potatoes for the corn muffins, but they were bland and forgettable * Surprisingly, no sweet tea, which feels almost mandatory at a BBQ joint On the plus side, the hot link was a great add-on with a nice snap and solid bite. The sides really shined--both the sautéed garlic green beans and smoked BBQ beans were flavorful and well-executed, easily some of the better BBQ sides around. Service was awkwardly friendly and somewhat attentive--well-meaning and polite, but not particularly dialed in or consistent throughout the meal. Overall: SmoKING Ribs BBQ has a strong foundation, especially with their brisket and sides. If they can improve consistency, availability, and bring the beef ribs up to the level their name promises, this could be a go-to BBQ spot. For now, come for the brisket--just manage expectations elsewhere.

Very awkward!!! Look, this place has amazing meat and the price reflects the quality and hard work that goes into this. With that said, when ordering takeout for three and picking up a bag of delicious meat that well exceeds $100 and you get presented with a touch screen payment with predetermined tip options that is going to add at a minimum $20 tip for takeaway is a real damper on what should be a great experience. There may have been another option of no tip or setting your own amount but it wasn't obvious and in the rush not something I was ready to assess . As I said a lot of hard work and time goes into their food but the price reflects that. Just be mentally prepared on how you are going to respond when they flip that payment pad on that takeaway and they are waiting on you to complete your payment.

My husband's friend recommended this spot so we finally did but sad to say it was a let down. Came for dinner on a Thursday night, there were 3 tables occupied so we picked one to sit on. Immediately after being greeted, we were told that chicken wings and brisket were sold out. I was actually hoping to try the brisket so that was a bummer. We decided on the St. Louis pork spare ribs, sausage, green beans and onion rings. We thought we ordered the full slab but i guess the server thought we asked for the combo which was fine. So we ended up eating the first one with ribs, sausage and onion rings. By the time we were finished the next set came. The St. Louis pork spare ribs came not hot nor warm. I guess room temp? The outside had the seasoning but inside was tasteless. It was very tender so i give them that but that's it unfortunately. They had 2 kinds of sauces on the table, one of them had a tinge of heat in it. We definitely had to use them to finish our food. Sausage was good. Onion rings were crispy but i can tell the oil used for frying was old. Green beans were cooked and seasoned nicely, i enjoyed the crunch on it. Our server Jason was nice and attentive so we give him props. Other than that, this is a one and done for us.

We were in the area and decided to try this bbq place out and glad we did! We got the full rack of pork ribs with a side of cole slaw and Mac and cheese. We also order pulled pork loaded fries and added a sausage. Everything was very flavorful and you can't beat the price! We took home leftovers and had it for dinner too! Based on the reviews, this seems to be more of a lunch spot so best get there early before they run out!

    Aftermath. Absolutely stuffed

First Impressions: as soon as we walked in, the smell of barbecue wafted over me and my girlfriend, and it made my mouth water. The gentleman at the counter was super welcoming and very nice... we didn't know that it was closing in 45 minutes, but he was still gracious in, offering us a seat in the restaurant and telling us to take our time and eat The Noms: I ordered a half rack of baby back ribs (it would've been a full rack except all they had left was a half rack that close to closing)... and my friend got a half rack of beef ribs. Both were delicious... juicy, and fall off the bone tender. The two sauces (regular and spicy) were fire! We also each got a side of french fries (perfectly crisp and salted) which came with ranch and ketchup... which is the best way to eat fries. We hadn't intended to order the blueberry cornbread, but it was the star of the meal. Super moist, with lumps of blueberry and corn mix mixed in... the salted butter spread over. It was perfect... I'm craving more and I wish I had ordered another pair of cornbread to go. In Conclusion: 10/10 would recommend a meal here. The food is so good and the hospitality makes you want to come back. I spilled a nearly full cup of root beer (I need to stop talking with my hands) and the gentleman from the counter was so gracious about it, even though I felt like a dummy. I can't wait to come back here... the cornbread alone would be a reason. Do yourself a favor and go get you some rib ribs!!

The good: Pulled pork sandwich, super tender and juicy, bread was delightful! I was so excited to try out SmoKING Ribs because of the hype but I was ultimately disappointed and dont see myself trying this place out again. I think the building complex is under construction. which made the restaurant look closed so it wasn't that busy. We are mostly the only people eating around weekday dinner. So although the service was fast and prompt we felt uncomfortable because it felt like we were being watched. I also wasnt a fan of the table service in opposed to the traditional bbq counter service. They were out of pork ribs that day so we got the regular beef ribs and brisket. The beef ribs were so tough that it ended up breaking our plastic fork... the brisket seemed like it was sitting out as it was dry and looked well done. The sides we got the green beans and coleslaw- which I thought were good but nothing to go back for. Lastly the blueberry corn muffins were something we were looking forward to but ultimately fell short because it was so dry, not even butter could save it.

Smoker behind the register, terrible pic I know, sorry.

Was not expecting this little gem of a spot in Garden Grove. Came here for a work lunch, this area has a ton of Asian restaurants, fully expected to get some great Pho or similar. But my boss wanted to check this BBQ spot out. All o can say is wow, excellent! They open at 11:30 and we arrived right when they opened and there were already a handful of people there. We were seated right away and our server got our drink order and drinks on the table right away. Great service! The meat here is done right, slow smoked and full of flavor. We got a pound of brisket and a full rack of pork ribs to share. Added some coleslaw, mac n' cheese and some BBQ beans. Everything was excellent, side and mains all great. They have a couple different BBQ sauces, one a sweet sauce and then another one with a bit of spice to it, just giving it an edge. I really enjoyed the spicy sauce and kept my ribs and brisket covered in it. The parking lot is a bit tight and very crowded, not sure what else is around there specifically, but it is a busy lot. There is parking in back as well as street parking, we ended up parking on the street and walked across, no big deal, needed to walk a bit after that meal anyway. I am coming back again next time I am in the area. Sorry, did not get many pics for this review, but trust me, it was great! Go support local BBQ spot doing it right here in So Cal, reminds me of a Midwest spot, but here near us, so happy. Enjoy!

Delicious egg rolls and whole shrimp egg rolls. This place has always been on my must try list and…read morewe finally got to try it out. If you order in person you can only get number 1 or 9 and spend $10. The rest of them need to be orders ahead of time. The egg rolls are very tasty with prominent flavors of pork and shrimp. I didn't taste the crab but it was still good despite that. The big shrimp ones are good too and you get a nice juicy piece of meat! Yum! I liked their sweet chili dipping sauce as well. It's perfect and has a tiny kick! Very good egg rolls! Yum!

This is by far one of the best eggroll shops in town if you're around and craving them. The front…read moreof the store that faces the street is not really an entrance, as is fairly blocked off and leads to the kitchen. Instead you have to enter the plaza and drive around towards the "back" where you'll see the sign for Kim Hong egg rolls which is literally just a door with a window. It may look really weird, but that's just how the store operates. I went on a Saturday afternoon, somewhat around closing time so there was not many options left. I ordered #1 and #4, and decided to pay cash. They also take credit card. There are other options that require a phone order placement. My order was pretty much ready to pick up within a couple minutes, where staff deep fried the egg rolls immediately so they were piping hot and ready to eat. What I really like about the egg rolls is that they stay crunchy even after a long time, unlike most other stores where if you leave them out then eventually lose their crispiness and you will have to put them in an air fryer to get them crisp again. At the very least, they lasted a couple hours after the initial frying, didn't test any further because finish them all by then. #1 was premium which contains pork, shrimp, and crab however I did not really taste the crap that much so it felt like I was just eating another #4, which was the same order but without the crab in it. However, my taste buds aren't as sensitive to picking up crab flavor so I could just be me. The shrimp is basically a whole piece stuck into the egg roll alongside ground pork so you can definitely taste the difference between the two. Besides the door, there is a table with a small umbrella if you wanted to eat there before leaving. Otherwise, the area itself is pretty minimal really just for picking up egg rolls and going about the rest of your day. I don't really see parking to be an issue especially with the way the store operates on primarily pick up orders, but if it happens to just be super busy it may be harder to find parking. Overall, really recommend coming here to try out the egg rolls as they are super crispy and worth it.
