I have taken Spanish classes here for about 4 months. Lincoln, the owner of the institute, is my…read moreSpanish teacher. Lincoln can speak a bunch of different languages and makes the class really fun and easy to learn. He teaches with strict grammar, so he's ensuring that we are learning properly. I learn best with hands-on methods, so in-person classes work best for me. The classes at AIL are in-person, with the option to join virtually, if necessary. The class materials can all be found in the ortal, which has proven to be a very helpful resource. I absolutely recommend Atlanta Language Institute if you learn well in-person. They offer many languages, too!

Each student is challenged to their own ability level, but in a way that is beneficial for the entire class. They take a practical approach to teaching + learning where all the prompts, responses, and casual conversations that are naturally spoken throughout the class, are both typed and recorded so we're able to listen and/or watch the videos to review, as well as print or save the .pdf of notes. This genuine environment has created classes of students that are dedicated to learning and supporting one another and have a lot of fun in doing so! I encourage you to contact them and try out a class since you're reading this review!

This program was set up in my son's school. There was a different instructor every week. Kids…read morewere completely confused with the class. Every time I picked my son up, there was complete chaos in the room. The instructors could not communicate with me enough to tell me anything. One instructor even brought her daughter to the class. Before we completely withdrew him, I came to school to pick up only to find my child in an After School Care, because no instructor showed up. No one even called. After we withdrew and demanded our money back, we were told we would only get the prorated amount of the classes he would miss. What horrible business ethics. I would not spend any money at this establishment.

I thought the program was great because it was very hands on and interactive. On the last day the kids set-up a restaurant, and the parents came to dine. The kids were the waiters asking us in Spanish what we would like to eat and drink. They made all the menus (in Spanish), and were very prepared to tell us about the food, etc. I didn't expect my children to come away being able to speak the language. I merely wanted them to be exposed to it, and hopefully absorb a little too. Wow! Was I mistaken. They came away with much more than I ever anticipated. I will definitely be signing my kids up for the after-school Spanish program in the fall.
