I'm actually sitting here right now... trying not to let the whole concept of mobile internet blow my mind! OK not really.
Having a thesis that was mostly written at a desk in college and somewhat at home, neither place is now conducive to finishing the damn thing, so I've taken to trawling through cafes with my laptop and a bag of books. Not unusual I know, but something of a rarity in exotic south-west Dublin - or so it seems because people keep giving me funny looks - well maybe that's for some other reason.
Anyway the Streat is a pretty nice cafe, considering the other cafes at the square are pretty shite and generally noisy. This one is on the beaten track but a little calmer than the others. The food here is pretty good and I have to say I've been quite impressed with their speciality teas and their muffins. On saying that my green tea and lemon and poppy-seed (remember to check teeth) muffin set me back almost a fiver.... it's a bloody recession... on saying that the tea did come in a nice pot and tray combo. read more
