New management at Boardroom Salon is beyond disappointing. As shown in the attached screenshot, my…read moreapp clearly states my membership is active from March 1, 2025, to March 1, 2026. To my surprise, American Express notified me yesterday (Labor Day, no less) of a $499 pending charge and asked me to confirm I approved it. I did not, so they blocked the charge. When I called today, I was met with scripted responses repeatedly stating that I had agreed to automatic renewal indefinitely. After requesting a manager, I received the same scripted response, with no flexibility or attempt to resolve the issue. For context: I have been a loyal member for almost five years, bringing my son in twice a month as well. I intended to extend my membership for a year, not be forced into a six-month auto-renewal without notification. Their response was essentially: "We'll continue to charge your card or you'll have a balance." Um...no...American Express already blocked the charge due to lack of authorization. This entire experience from lack of notice to unhelpful staff demonstrates poor management and zero effort in customer retention. It's disappointing to see a long-time member treated this way. Goodbye, Boardroom. Clearly, customer service and loyalty are not a priority here.

The label it as this prestigious place to get a haircut but the inside isn't anything crazy. Just save yourself an extra $60 and go to sports clips for the same thing.

I am giving this location a 5 star review primarily due to KD being at this location now. She has…read morebeen cutting my hair since October 2018 and recently changed locations. I have followed! Her other location was within walking distance to my house and this new location is about 15 to 20 minutes' drive. Her hair cuts are worth the drive. Go in and ask for KD! Also, I found the staff here very fun, accommodating and polite. They all seem to really enjoy being there and serving customers.

I…read morevery rarely leave a bad review but the vibes were off from the beginning.. the person who assisted us at the front desk/ bar had a horrendous attitude and you could feel the bad vibes coming off her immediately, I come here with my BF all the time and never had a bad experience until now... usually we walk in and are helped they ask if we both want drinks but not this time. She only offers my bf a drink but nothing to me goes back to her computer and he asks about another drink for me, she seems very annoyed. I wait for her to finish with other people and make phone calls and help other people that's fine I get that I'm not the only person in the world. After my bf gets in the chair she looks at me and asks if he wants another beer and I said no thank you I would like a vodka cranberry, she rolls her eyes and huffs. I get my drink and realize he finished his beer, I ask if she needs the coozie back and she said yeah if you don't want it (I didn't know I could take it). I take his trash and throw it away, I thank her for my drink and walk away. I'm irritated bc I don't treat people like that no matter how bad my day is. I'm irritated bc she didn't need to have the attitude at all. This is after the appointment was delayed due to the original stylist being sick, we weren't upset at all bc both of us understand that but to not even apologize plus acting like we (specifically I) was an inconvenience was just a lot. This in no way reflects on the stylists and other people who have helped us here. Just this one particular person who I'm assuming is a member of management.

I returned three items of clothing the same day I purchased them after trying them on at home,…read more(they had no dressing room), but after leaving the store and a second look at the refund amount I realized it was short a few dollars. I returned and brought it up to the girl at the front desk who sold the items. After staring at her computer for a good 15 minutes, she told me "I didn't return your tax because tax is not refunded on returned merchandise." When I asked her if she honestly thought customers still pay taxes on items they have returned, she looked frazzled and spent another 10-15 minutes on her computer trying to come up with an answer. When she realized I wasn't going to just walk away and let her keep the tax amount, she said "Ok, I'll refund your tax" as if she's doing me a huge favor and making an exception. But even then she gave no receipt for the returns. When I asked for a receipt, she told me: "We don't give receipts on returned items. They're given only for sold items." I asked if she had a pen and paper. She said yes, and just stared at me. So I said, Can you write on a piece of paper that I returned these items and am due a refund? By this time, visibly fed up with her customer asking for something I should have received without asking, she writes on a Post-It note pad "Items returned 8/22." After my experience, I was surprised to see the additional tax actually refunded on my credit card. I was honestly expecting a few more back & forth discussions that led nowhere. What should have been a simple return became an unnecessarily aggravating experience with someone who clearly needs training and basic common sense, like merchant can't keep the tax charged on returned items, or that a customer needs to be provided proof of return. Just goes to show your employees can cost you much more than you realize. They lost my business for good. I'm new in the area and was looking for a new hairdresser but given my experience, there is zero chance I'll ever step foot in this place again.
