Back in the day, I found myself at The Taproom at Old Town often. They have great cocktails, always strong, and they used to have really amazing food. I don't know exactly what happened but the departure of Kitsune is a huge loss. Their kitchen has changed, a completely new food menu, and very different vibe overall. I ordered the chicken sandwich and it was burnt to hell. I rarely rarely send food back, but I just couldn't with this. They were very kind and did comp the meal. Overall though the experience has me mourning Kitsune even more. I want to say that the service was absolutely great. She was very sweet. I love the space and it's definitely one of the better late night options when you are in old town.

My friend and I recently spent three nights near Old Town. Unfortunately, we only discovered The Taproom at Old Town on our final night. The bartender was very friendly and helpful. The food and Left Turn Distilling cocktails were terrific. We'll be back!

We stumbled on the Taproom while walking around Old Town. As serious cocktail foodies, I have to really say this place has a GREAT and creative cocktail program! My drink was a tad sweet for me but the flavors were so great I don't care! I had the rosemary sour and it was frothy and delicious! My husband had the rum old fashioned and said it was a solid choice - very distinct! We split some bbq chicken lollipops that were expertly cooked, but for me (I'm weird), the star was the pickled vegetables. Seriously - I love some good pickled vegetables! We came in before 7pm on a Friday night and when we left it was crazy busy with live entertainment and some feisty patrons! Great ambiance with the party starting around 7:30!

Yummmm Yummmm Yummmm! Boy is this place amazing and a great place to hang out in OLD TOWN! Their food is eclectic and like no other... which is what makes it so special. Every bite is flavorful and definitely delightful. As I sit here in their patio enjoying my Manhattan I am definitely enjoying the weather, music, and their hospitality. I enjoy my Manhattan with bourbon and was surprised at the delish add of gin instead of bourbon the fries!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get them! I highly recommend this sweet little untapped gem!

Surprising amazing find. We just landed in Albuquerque and needed food. Someone said this place had a great chef- so true!! Beautiful entrees that also deliver exceptional flavor! Theblue cheese polenta cake with bone- in chicken was a surprise and delicious. Enchiladas delivered big flavor in a town full of similar cuisine. Fun and easy service. Laid back atmosphere ( late lunch and dog friendly place) with a sweet outdoor Cafe. Definitely returning for music and more food. And the cocktails! Kelly is a master. None of that watered down stuff- drinks with a strong alcoholic punch while delivering complexity of flavors. Win win.

I'm not suggesting that this taproom is by definition a perfect addition to Old Town simply because it's a purveyor of good booze and food. I mean, you can find that anywhere. What makes this taproom unique is... well... hold on... Okay, so it's just a taproom that serves up Palmer beer and Left Turn cocktails, and that's all it needs to be. The food, which I didn't try, is the kind of Asian fusion I absolutely love stuffing down my throat when I'm cutting loose, so there's every reason to believe that this watering hole will be another great reason to visit an area of town I usually overlook. I mean, do we need another reason? Booze! Food! Patio! Hooray Old Town!

Fantastic Whiskey Sour! They are on the site of the long time Candy Lady. Old Town Albuquerque is definitely a place to visit. The Tap Room has a great menu . . . waiting for food to arrive. KITSUNE - mischievously crafted asian inspired!

I knew after dinner we may wanna grab 1 more drink so I had checked to see if there were any new spots sine the last time we were in town. I hadn't heard of this Teddy Roe's so we grabbed a reservation for the late evening. After getting dropped off by a car we tried to find the entrance. I'm not going to give away the trick to it but it was fun. Once inside we got our spot that we held. I didn't see a drink on their menu that I liked that was rum based, so I asked the kind bartender if they could make me one. I only asked that it be alcohol forward, but that I was good if it was a more fruity drink too. They brought me a concoction that was perfect. It's a real nice place. The ornate ceiling and the beautiful bar added to the regal vibes of the place. I would definite recommend Teddy's; it's one of the best speakeasies in town.

I thought maybe the EVOO was good for my health too . I might not order it again, but I enjoyed the adventure! Service was a bit slow, due to limited staff early on. We went here for a low key place to paint and spend some time. They put up with us doing art at the table well and allowed 2 of us to sit at a big round corner booth to have some quiet and privacy. The place was actually surprisingly loud when we arrived with some loud groups and sound carrying, but it quieted down later. This was a weekday evening. Our server was very nice and helpful in us selecting our drinks. The drinks were fancy and good. I was pleasantly surprised to find a pumpkin spice martini off- season. I really enjoyed the drinks I had. I ordered mushroom flatbread and it was plentiful and very tasty.

The space has been flipped around so the bar is on the opposite side it used to be. The bar is larger but the space is the same size leaving the seating area a bit cramped. Service was well enough I believe it was their first day of service so they are finding their footing. I did not try a signature cocktail however, expect to spend $15-$17 which I guess is standard these days. I had a vodka soda (my go-to) and we went outside. The patio is much more open compared to the old space, and the vibe is more boho chic with funky accents and wicker chairs. They have these fun swinging chairs outside, however , I found their placement a bit odd, because they are right in front of the dual service bar top and there's only two chairs. The music was big band, and swing and the vibe was chill, it was a precursor to our next venue but still relaxing for a Sunday afternoon. Also one thing to note is that they do not serve the downstairs menu upstairs but serve "snacks". Beef jerky, nuts, that sort of thing. Go check them out and help support local. I expect to go back again soon and will update.
