My wife and I contacted Sushil very late into our wedding planning process, as in weeks before the wedding, and our only regret is that we didn't reach out to him sooner! Sushil's professionalism, attention to detail, and wonderful, easy-going communication style stood out far beyond any other wedding designer we worked with. I can confidently say without him and within our timeframe, we would not have been able to pull together such an incredible vision for not one or two, but THREE unique, gorgeous events. The Sangeet, a fun, festive, colorful design full of floral patterns and gorgeous royal purple. The Ceremony, with a stunning mandap made of entirely fresh florals. Finally, the Reception, full of elegant touches and red flowers, created an absolutely dazzling finale to our wedding. Our first look at the reception was truly incredible, and we loved the surprise entrance Sushil added in (so magical!) All three events were unique, vibrant, and full of love - not only a reflection of our ideas as the bride and groom, but the love and passion Sushil has for his work. In the wedding business it's important to remember you get what you pay for. This has been the best money spent in all of my wedding expenses, so far. Bash came HIGHLY-RECOMMENDED thru about 6 different websites, so I reached out to LT, and made arrangements to meet with her. I fell in love the minute I met her, and signed her immediately. There isn't anything LT won't do in the best way possible, to make this day amazing. She's planning it all, including the rehearsal dinner and farewell brunch, blocking rooms, hiring vendors, booking formal wear appointments, monitoring our budget, monitoring our wedding Web site, save-the-dates, invitations, the list goes on and on and on. I don't know how she keeps it all together, and looking effortless! To date, she has schlepped us to numerous wedding venues, catering tastings, vendor appointments, kept me from melting down numerous times in the midst of planning my wedding, is on-track with all of my whacky requests and handles my micro-managing with absolute grace, stays in constant e - mail contact with me, and is definitely the calm in the storm. I still have 9 months until my wedding, and without LT and Bash, I'd be lost and probably in a mental home by now. I will most definitely update my review once our wedding is over, but for now, I'm here to tell you that Bash Event Planning, and LT are AMAZING!!! A wedding is one of the most important days of a couple's life, and the reason we hired a coordinator was so that we could be present and enjoy the day rather than manage it ourselves. Unfortunately, my family, friends, and vendors ended up stepping into many of the responsibilities we specifically hired House of BASH to handle. What makes this especially disappointing is that the written scope of our $1,800 "Something Old" package explicitly included vendor management, master timeline creation, rehearsal coordination, guest direction, reception flow, troubleshooting, and two experienced House of BASH coordinators. The sales process vs. the reality When I first inquired with LT, she was extremely upbeat and confident on the phone and described everything House of BASH could provide. I initially planned to use her for both coordination and floral/design services. The design process was one of the first places where I became concerned. I provided a Pinterest board with the aesthetic and ideas I wanted, and the resulting proposal largely consisted of images from that board rather than a developed design presentation showing how those ideas would be translated into our wedding. The proposal itself was difficult for me to follow and did not give me confidence in moving forward with the additional design services. I ultimately decided not to continue with those additional services and lost $300 associated with the design process. At that point, I decided to handle much of the design myself. Communication and professionalism Once we moved into the planning process, my experience was very different from the initial sales call. Communication with LT was often blunt and made me uncomfortable asking questions. I was told things were "unusual" or "not what [she] experienced in years in the industry" when I asked questions or made decisions differently from how she typically runs weddings. I also worked primarily with an assistant throughout much of the planning process. When we had our venue walkthrough about a week before the wedding, the assistant asked questions about details we had already discussed, including linens and cocktail stirs, even though we had already confirmed we were not doing those items. More importantly, the questions that mattered most to the actual flow of our wedding were not discussed in the level of detail I expected from a coordinator. The package we purchased specifically included vendor management, master timeline creation, and two experienced House of BASH coordinators, so I expected the team executing our wedding to be very familiar with our plans. Timeline and preparation I chose to build our master timeline around our photographer's schedule because photography was extremely important to us. LT repeatedly described my approach as "unusual," and I felt pressured to follow her preferred way of doing things. Ultimately, I stayed with the timeline that worked for our photographer, and I am grateful I did because it allowed us to get the photographs that were important to us. The bigger issue was that I felt I had to prepare extensively for the coordinator rather than the coordinator preparing us. We created our own comprehensive wedding binder containing our timeline, vendor information, ceremony music, meal assignments, substitutions, and day-of instructions. We printed copies and distributed them to our wedding party and family because we wanted everyone to have access to the information. Despite that, even in the week leading up to the wedding, the coordination team was still asking questions about details such as ceremony music that were already clearly documented. The rehearsal Our rehearsal was scheduled for 11:00 AM. My wedding party and I were there on time, but LT arrived at approximately 11:08 AM. Eight minutes may not sound significant, but the package specifically included rehearsal coordination and leading the ceremony rehearsal so the wedding party would know where to be and when. I had not been given a clear answer beforehand about which coordinator would be present, so I personally had to call and text to figure out who was coming. That experience did not give me confidence going into the wedding day. Wedding-day coordination and vendor management This is where the difference between what we purchased and what we experienced became most apparent. Our package specifically included vendor management, oversight of vendor setup, coordination with catering, management of the day's timeline, guest direction, reception flow, and troubleshooting. Unfortunately, my family and I ended up stepping into several of these responsibilities. Not only do they make you…read morefeel like family member from the get go (that's how personal their thoughtfulness and care is), they have a unique ability to know exactly what you need without you even realizing it. There were a million things that happened on our wedding day that seemed like magic - we didn't have to stress over one single thing and were able to enjoy our time with family and friends completely, which is so rare for a wedding. (As an example, one of the bridesmaids had a dress malfunction, which was magically handled by the team without us knowing anything about it). Jacin also had an extremely useful amount of experience in her business, so that she was able to access resources that fit both our vision and budget perfectly, without feeling like we needed to compromise on any aspect of our special day. We had less time to plan everything, about 3-4 months total, but that didn't faze Jacin. We never felt rushed through decisions or anxious about having too little time. True professionals. We highly recommend Jacin and her team, and feel so blessed to have had them with us on the most important day of our lives.

She is not just a planner; she is a talented designer and I can't even go in to the countless personal touches she thought of that perfectly reflected us, as well as our family and friends. Everything was running perfectly and our dream was about to become a reality and then COVID hit. The shutdowns started two weeks before our big day so we obviously had to cancel our wedding. In typical Jacin fashion, she never missed a beat. By the following day, she managed to rebook every vendor and our same venue only four months after our initial date. An impossible feat for a venue that is booked a year in advance! Even up until the last couple of weeks we weren't sure our wedding could be held because COVID cases were going up again. We agonized over it but Jacin continually reassured us and never made us feel bad for having the wedding, even though I'm sure she was uneasy too. It's not easy to understand the turmoil until you have been there, but we could not have gotten through it without Jacin. She thought of so many clever ideas for a COVID-friendly wedding such as colored wrist bands to distinguish guest's comfort level, monogrammed face masks, sanitizing the entire ballroom, etc. and was so patient in answering our guests emails and safety related questions. Jacin made me feel so calm on my wedding day and I never had to worry about a single thing. It was truly the most relaxing, enjoyable, amazing fairytale weekend and our guests felt so loved and taken care of. Also, her team is amazing!! They are all industry pros; most are planners themselves, so no detail was missed. Under the circumstances it was such a perfect escape from the world and we will always be so very grateful to Jacin and her team for really going way above and beyond to make our wedding weekend so perfect.
