This is my favorite Thai food in the city and the fact that it's right around the corner makes it even better! My favorite dishes are the garlic noodles with whatever protein you like- I usually get chicken or shrimp- and then the breaded chicken with rice. Unfortunately I don't remember the Thai name for the dish but it is soooooo yummy! They give you this sweet and salty sauce to put on top and it comes with a bowl of yummy soup too! And all their food is pretty affordable too! Expect to pay about $22 per dish. The ambiance is very very casual and there isn't that much room for sitting so if you have a big party you might want to call in advance and make sure they have room for you! We actually just do pick up a lot since we live so close. When we do dine in, sometimes the service is good and sometimes it's not that good. Once we wanted to pay wish cash and we only had a hundred dollar bill and they didn't have change. At first they weren't going to accept our money, but we made a huge fit and one of the waiters finally went to 711 to get change for us, which is only to be expected. All in all tho I keep coming back over and over again for more cuz the food is just so good! read more

Overall, I would say the food is pretty good. I came in for the garlic noodles and the lime crispy chicken. The garlic noodles were pretty good. The lime crispy chicken was good... but I wouldn't get it again. I wish this dish had more of a lime flavor, and the bites that didn't have the white sauce were just plain crispy chicken and kind of bland. But it was cooked well and wasn't overly breaded. And the bites with the white sauce were bomb. Maybe having the sauce on the side for dipping would be preferable. I added the pad woon sen and that ended up being my favorite dish! Sooooo good! I get take out here often but I dunno what happened last night. I had my usual order prik khing medium and pad thai mild. The prik khing tasted mild so I thought maybe the spice level got switched. Nope. Somehow the pad Thai tasted even less than mild. Like water. It was giving "essence of tomato" if you are extremely online and get the AITA ref. The spring rolls were fine but don't require spice. It was honestly so bad, I debated driving over to return. I finally procured some sriracha sauce but it's missing any other spice that it was just like putting hot sauce on plain noodles. Stopped by for dinner on a Friday night, it wasn't too crowded at 6:45pm but got busier with time as most places on a busy street in LA do. We were warmly greeted and our waters remained filled throughout the meal. I loved the fiery crispy shrimp!! It came with 6 and was super flavorful. All the noodle dishes were fresh and came out hot! Weekdays are usually slow, which is perfect--you get your food fast and without a wait, and the portions are huge. I went with the Pad See Ew with chicken, and it was spot-on--flavorful, perfectly cooked, and satisfying. Cozy Thai spot with small parking lot! The crispy rice salad is a must try. It is absolutely fantastic, they offer extra lettuce for ~$5 if you run out like us. The garlic noodles are quite filling and have great flavor. You can pick your protein too. I always love getting Tim yum soup when eating Thai. I stumbled upon a beautiful and quaint Thai restaurant on the corner of vista st. And third. I was craving authentic Thai food. Something that would make me feel like it was homemade with love and care. I saw this place before but never stopped in because I was headed to the Grove which the farmers market is one of my favorite places to eat at in the area. However, this restaurant is now in my top Thai restaurants on the west side. Siri who I believe is one of the owners/ managers recommended two dishes for me, first she recommended I start with the Firry Crispy Shrimp which had a unique fried approach to it that was reminiscent of soul food however the sauce was a perfect balance to it . The second dish was the Hor Mhok. This dish was truly amazing. I left nothing, literally, I recommend adding the mint that is placed on the side of the plate and flower into the dish. I will definitely be back again for this dish. It was light but filling and not too much on the pallet but very flavorful. She recommend the mild approach but I will be back to have it spicy. Now let's talk about the customer service, Siri and Billy were serviced me and made me feel as if I was at a five star restaurant. My water was never empty. Plates were removed timely for the next dish to take center stage. I mean it was impeccable. Mind you the place was packed. Additionally, after my dish I was not rushed to leave. She allowed me to sit and handle a few things on my phone and never once made me feel like I was over staying my welcome. The cleanness of the restaurant was excellent, however the bathroom had some work, this maybe to influx of customers and this was a few nights before Christmas. Overall, I recommend if you can find parking, stop by and enjoy these dishes or the green curry which is Siri's favorite. I respect this establishment because I even have her a budget of what I wanted to spend and she recommended dishes that would impress me, fill me up and did not go over the budget I wanted to spend. The cherry on top is I wasn't looking for anything to drink and on my way out Billy provided me their signature lemonade black tea. I highly recommend this tea. Very traditional accents with a unique but sweet flavor profile. A must try for the experience. I wasn't even intending on writing a review but I was so pleased I had to. Even the customers were friendly! I came one and people spoke to me freely and started cross table conversations. Anyplace in LA with its own parking lot is automatically a win for me. Albeit it's small with only five spots, but it's better than none! When we sat down, we were the only ones in the restaurant so we were nervous that we might regret this choice. However, we arrived only 30 minutes after they opened and they had nonstop to go orders being prepared already. By the time we left, half the tables were filled. (Which isn't yes since there's maybe 10 tables that fit two or four.) We ordered the yellow curry with tofu, pad see ew with tofu, and chicken pad Thai. Personally, the boiled tofu texture in the curry was not my jam, but the flavor profile was amazing. The portions were pretty big. (Except the curry, but I find curry portions to be modest anywhere.) Even though we ordered 3 meals, it was as if we ordered 5. We took home half of the pad see ew and half of the pad Thai. So that made us feel good since these prices were a bit higher than some of the other Thai places we frequent. Generally, the food was good. I wouldn't say it was the best I've had in LA, but definitely good enough that I would continue to eat here in the future. I came here with a large group around 9 pm on a weekday and it was super lively and busy. The space was small but had nice lighting and surprisingly a lot of seating. I ordered the My Garlic noodles with chicken and a thai iced tea. The food was top tier - the chicken was incredibly juicy and the thai iced tea was refreshing and not too sweet. I also tried the fiery crispy shrimp which was pretty good. My only complaint was the wait time as they were heavily understaffed with only 1 server and 2 cooks. Food is decent but not worth driving out of your way for. We tried the papaya salad, pad see ew, and mhok puk. Food wasn't spicy enough for my liking, but they brought us fresh chilies on the side that made it better. Noodles were great, but we were not a fan of the mhok puk. With so many good reviews on yelp I decided to order Thai Thing on ubereats but oh my... I hate leaving negative reviews but this was by far the worst thai food I've had in LA. The curry was super watery/saturated and the pad thai was barely coated in flavor that it was basically blanched noodles if not for the lemon on the side.. I'm hoping this was a one off experience and that the kitchen had a bad day as I ordered near closing time. read more
