Stay away if you expect communication and transparency. Once they take your money, the dynamic changes instantly. I paid a retainer fee, and right after that, it took me days just to get a simple update. Every time I called, I was brushed off with excuses that 'the attorney is busy with other clients.' ​After days of waiting and chasing them down, I finally got a call back only to be told that they couldn't help with my case. The attorney literally just repeated the exact information I had already found through my own research before hiring them. ​The worst part is their predatory billing practice. I was informed that 2.2 hours had been billed against my retainer. When I asked for a standard, itemized breakdown of what work was actually done during those hours, the attorney outright refused. To top it off, I was told that if I wanted a detailed explanation of the charges, I would be billed additional hourly fees just for them to look through the logs. Charging a client extra money just to explain their own invoice is completely unethical. ​They did absolutely zero work, made no progress, and essentially kept my retainer for repeating information I already knew. 00 stars would be more appropriate! In 2008 I reached out for them with my mortgage. My lender screwed me over on a refinance. Well after seeing Peter ticktin lie, and say they are there to help you every step of the way! What a line of crap! Yes they collected $400.00 a month to shuffle papers never once went to court for me! I lost my condo. Never explained the process how it worked. If I hadn't researched it myself , and found a great lawyer Joshua List. Had file bankruptcy, at least Mr List was truthful , and was there every step of the way so Ticktin law firm , they suck! Oh and now he is doing accident commercials. Then it was marriage commercials. This law firm is one big joke! If you want to loose your case then by all means use them. I wouldn't refer my cat to Peter Ticktin beware of their scams! So disappointing I used them and trusted them . read more

I agree. I've used ticktin law since 2009. Back then I wasn't upside, but needed them to see if I can get a reduced mortgage since my wife passed away. My lawyer said no no we will win your case. Robo signing and predatory lending. 5 years went by and I accumulated $100,000 in late fees and banks lawyers. All they did was keep me in my home. I've had 7 different lawyers. One lawyer said "we won your case" but failed to tell me the verb win didn't mean free home. Chase sold to caliber who after 4 years perused foreclose on me. Now, after 9 years I'm upside down by $330,000. I owe $630,000 on my house Worth only $345,000. All my 7 lawyer says move in with your family. I'm disabled with no legs. Well I did it myself and told Bank I'm Disabled which my lawyer of 9 months graduate never told them I'm disabled. They agreed to deed in lieu and gave me $17000 to relocate. Spent $60,000 to ticktin that virtually did nothing for me read more

Terrible service. I would give 0 stars if I could. I have a case that has been going on for a few years and no one has reached out to me at all. The lawyers keep changing and switching causing more random "fees" but still no progress. When I reach out, they charge me a fee for talking to them. At the rate they are going it looks like they just stealing money from vulnerable people. AVOID THEM. read more

I first met Peter Ticktin in 2010 I came to him with a very complex case against some very big players. I had been thru 3 law firm already and they all quit for various reasons most just didnt believe my story or they didnt get the issues. WORST BUNCH OF LAWYERS EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I paid TICKTIN law group $15,000 to go up against a dead beat dad in a child support case he owed $33,000. Ticktin did nothing for years and lost it. Those 5 lawyers had to be paid extra just to review the cAse. Then they just gave up and helped the dead beat father cause he didn't have a lawyer. All consideration went to prolonging the case and helping out the the other party. Ticktin did nothing and the dead beat father only owes $12,000 which is way more then I paid Ticktin for the case. They screwed up and don't care about the people they represent. Not once were we informed of the status of case only payments owed to lawyers. Every time we asked the status we were charged $50 bucks to ask. They prolonged the case long enough for the 2 kid to turn 18. This case was started when the oldest child was 14. Ticktin took my money and helped out the father more then the client. read more
