Not a businessman - maybe good at repairs, but cannot be relied upon. A couple of years ago, I took a family heirloom clock in to him for refurbishing. Supposedly a couple of months lead time. He got sick - then spent months in cancer treatment. Sorry for that, but he had no one answering his phone or returning messages. His store sat locked up - with my clock inside - for months. I finally got in contact with him, and picked up my clock - which ran beautifully. Less than a year later, it stopped running. ("two year warranty") I called, and he tried to diagnose on the phone. Then said he was picking up clocks near me, and would stop by. Never came by. Called - no answering machine. Left message through an automated website form. Never returned message. THE TIME WIZARD: Not able to recommend this clock repairman. He worked on our family clock and delivered it on 8/3/20 to the tune of $400.00, Clock stopped and we haven't been able to get him back here yet. lots of excuses. One, that we live "too far away." Today, July 25/2021, nearly a year later we called again; ; Surprise! Brian answered and he was so rude said he called both our phones 6 times yesterday. we checked, it was only one call to my husbands phone, He lied. And he hung up on us!! read more

Doesn't return phone calls or show up for appointments. I had to drive to his business and try to talk to him several times.

Brian came out to my home to evaluate my grandfather clock. I knew it would have a cost behind the repairs. He gave me the diagnosis, took the non working parts with him. He gave me an estimated cost and time frame of the repair. It took about 2 weeks which was okay. He came back to my house, put the clock all back together and it sounds so magnificent. It has been at least 25+ years since l have heard it and all the special memories around the clock came flooding back. A great big thank you to Brian for the care he put into my grandfathers clock. I'm writing this review because the only other review is based on the reviewer being put off by the shopkeeper's disinterest in making small-talk, not on the quality of the shop's work. This was my first time in this shop, the woman working behind the counter was not welcoming and I mentioned having an extensive clock collection, she didn't seem interested, so I will not be returning to support this business, it's a shame because I strongly believe in supporting small businesses but not when it's received by a sour attitude. read more
