Found Dental Dawson online and ended up with Dr. Vyas. I was scared in pain and extremely apprehensive about seeing a NEW dentist. After having had a previous experience that was not ideal, I was reluctant to find a new dentist that I could trust. Dr.Vyas is knowledgeable and explains everything to you in understandable terms. His positivity and empathy for his patients is heartwarming. He took the time to fully go over my dental health, presented several options on how to proceed, and focused on reducing my pain and stress right away. I simply can't say how impressed and thankful I am to Dr. Vyas for going the extra mile to make sure that I felt at ease and comfortable during my first visits with them recently. Everyone in the office, even the front office staff, let me know that they all genuinely cared about me as a patient and that I was in good hands. I don't know how many people send thank you cards to their dentist, but I know that if any dentist deserves it, It's Dr.Vyas. I highly recommend him for all your dental needs.

This year I forgot to opt out of dental coverage and didn't feel like trekking back home to have my teeth cleaned so I booked an appointment. It was very easy to book as they had a lot of availability. When I arrived I filled out some paperwork and then was seen very shortly after. The hygienist was sweet and made an effort to make conversation. The best part by far was being able to watch Netflix during the appointment. I had to wait a bit for the dentist to come back from what I assume was his lunch break. He checked my X-rays and was able to fill a small cavity immediately without needing an freezing (I said I was okay with the pain). He also answered a question I had about gum health and made sure I understood what he said. Overall, a really great experience! If you're a Laurier student covered by the dental plan, go by for a free cleaning!

All the doctor wants to do is take money out of the pockets of people or their insurance. I came here a month ago when I accidentally chipped one of my front teeth. I recently graduated from university and was no longer on my parent's insurance. So, I paid for my service out of pocket. They told me to be cautious when eating and that these fillings usually last up to 5 years. About a month later, the filling fell off and was re-chipped when I was eating soft foods (rice and beans). I came back to them so they could fix it up for me. I was extremely upset and disappointed since I paid a couple hundred dollars for something that came out shortly after or was not done properly. I assumed it would be free of charge since it just got it filled several weeks ago. Instead, the doctor demanded that I pay a minimum of $150 to fix up the small chip and made it seem like it was my fault, stating that she informed me that I was not allowed to chew on it at all, which was 100% not the case. To fix this, the whole process would have added up to $500. Afterwards, I did my research and called another dental office in the area and explained my situation to them and they said that this should have been fixed free of charge based on the time that it occurred. If you want to go to a credible and reliable dentist, please look elsewhere if you want to save yourself a couple hundred of dollars and from disappointment.

The staff are all very good at the clinic. The desk staff is clear with me about my insurance and appointments and provide ample reminders. The hygienist took a detailed account of my dental history and listened to everything I had to say in regards to how procedures make me feel. They explained each step to me without being condescending and took care to prepare me for things that might cause me anxiety. The dental assistants are friendly and informative. During dental work they pay attention to your comfort. I've been to too many dentists where the assistants are banging tools off of my teeth or ripping my lips. These people actually care about your comfort and it shows. Dr Cardieri is a gem of a dentist. She is kind. She is informative. She is efficient. She fixed my teeth with minimal pain and is actually quite pleasant to talk to. Parking is free and usually available. The entire facility is as clean as you would hope a dental office to be. The facility is comfortable and updated. There are screens for the patient to watch a movie during the dental work. They provided me lip balm to use during my dental work so my lips didn't crack (that's huge for me!). If you made it this far in this review, I want you to know that if you've had traumatic dental work in the past due to a negligent dentist, and have anxiety preventing you from going, this dentist is highly worth visiting. Also, they didn't bring me into pointless appointments just to drain my insurance. They're good. Really really good. I am SO happy I made the appointment!

St Andrews is now a large operation with many employees and attitude. Dentists come and go here as do assistants. Often quite young ones still clinging to their grade 10 behaviour. Big rush here, don't hesitate when dentist asks you a question or he may be gone. I called to make an appointment to have a tooth fixed. Was told no. Debated for several minutes with the female voice till she passed me to another woman. The debate renewed. Finally she conned me by saying they would do both procedures (measuring my gums then fixing my tooth). I agreed, she laughed. Should have known right then. I arrived, dentist, not my regular one poked and prodded for awhile calling out numbers to his assistant. Then he said we are done. I said well now you are going to fix my tooth right. His answer "no I am not." He walked. Charged me $174. Days later I asked for my records, the very young "girl" at front desk refused. Have not been back. All this was several years ago.
