While waiting for my drink to be made, I went upstairs and found there's a cute low-ceiling loft-style seating area that overlooks the shop. The Signature Latte was good! Slight sweetness from the brown sugar and cinnamon. There were various groups sitting together and also groups ordering for takeout, so you know this is the place for a good drink and conversation.

The donuts here are actually pretty darn good. Fresh and a great variety to pick from. Their filled donuts have more than just cream options and a pretty good. We even got a couple breakfast sandwiches and those were tasty too. Coming out of the woods from a week of camping and getting a sugar/carb load up was great. A couple of issues - this place is busy because it is basically the last civilized place to stop before you go out into the middle of nowhere so the parking lot is a total Mad Max nightmare. Be prepared. The other thing is that people were using the bathrooms to bath themselves. Gross. Not appropriate for a place selling food. But I'm sold on the idea of Tim Hortons. Just when I'm in Canada though because the quality is totally different than in the states.

Well this is a funky new place. This used to be Board Anyone which also has two locations in…read moreKenora. We spoke with the new owner who said he and his wife took over in spring 2017. Lots of changes - for the better! This place is a mix of a few different things which is conveniently located on the highway. They are a clothing/fashion store which sells ethically sourced and produced clothing and blankets. They are also a kayak and paddle board rental shop in addition to selling them. Rentals are $55 for 24 hours and that included delivery to your cabin/campsite. We had loads of fun on our stand up paddle boards (AKA SUP). The cool thing is that they've partnered with The Hub coffee roasters in Sioux Lookout. Not only can you purchase beans to go, you can grab a cup of great tasting, made to order coffee to go! The reason we only gave 3 stars is because they still look like they're getting established. While the renovations to the place are a major upgrade, stock did seem pretty low. We are looking forward to seeing what will come of this place by next summer and will gladly update our review if anything changes.
