Boasting a wide array of items, this is one of the larger antique shops I have been to. There are…read moreplenty of decor items and knick knacks, as well as large collections of coins, books, and clothing. My go-to find at antique shops, however, is vinyl records--of which there are plenty here. With that said, many of them run incredibly high prices (likely equivalent to their eBay sale value). Part of the appeal of local antique stores is that you can find items at discounted prices compared to that online. But, one hidden section at the back of the store had vinyl records lining the walls from floor to ceiling at only $4/vinyl; granted, not all of these were in the best of shape nor were they necessarily as coveted as some of those nearer the front of the store, but there were certainly some hidden gems among them.

I love that this guy is down to earth and supports art. Definitely worth looking at his collection. He also has a section where you can create your own art.

There were also simpler things like cards, prints, and posters for sale. The whole space is interesting, from the mural outside to designs painted on the cement floors to weird and wonderful things hanging from the ceiling. Seems like a cool community space with a small stage and kitchen for events and classes. Though we didn't do it, I LOVED the make-your-own "Art on a Stick" area where you could pay $12 and create something unique from a mish-mash of objects and materials collected by the artists/owner.

This is the odd point...yesterday I walked into their business without my wife and I was treated wonderfully and I was not asked to remove my mask. My wife and I are Latino, but I look Anglo. This situation may go beyond just the politics and may also reflect bigotry. I find it difficult to wrap my head around this notion since there is a large Latino population in Silver City, NM. Suggestion: Put a sign outside your place that states, "No masks permitted".
