So, I had to get some legal docs notarized the same day that the docs were received. I called the 1821 S. Bascom Ave UPS store in Campbell and spoke with a nice man who verified a notary was on premise and explained what I needed to do. Upon arrival at the store, I found out the gentleman that spoke to me on the phone was the Notary, Mr. Walter Croce. He was very helpful, explaining details and keeping me informed of the costs before he notarized each form. He also scanned the docs that he notarized for me. Do NOT come to this store! I had come here several times, and it was ok. Yesterday, I went there to ship a picture (that was framed so it was fragile). It was $140 (including the box and bubble wrap), and they said that was the cheapest shipping option. My husband thought that sounded really expensive, so I called FedEX and told them the specs of everything. She gave me a quote of $55 or so. Then I went online and got estimates from both FedEX and UPS. The quotes were between $50-$70. So I go back to the store this morning and talk to the guy there who I believe is the manager. He was extremely rude and said they're not connected really with UPS (ok.....) and that I should've gone with FedEx or done it online with UPS if it's so much cheaper. Wow. Yeah, I will NEVER come back to this store again. I didn't ask to speak to the manager since I think I already was. That guy should be fired. read more

Went here yesterday to have INTERNATIONAL delivery of letters done. A guy there pushed aside another staff member to serve me. After that, all I got was rude, ignorant disservice! He asked twice for a street number. He asked for a valid address. He insisted on having a ZIP code. These questions AFTER I had politely handed him the VALID address to a LAWYER's office with actual street address and VALID POSTAL code. I asked him to put the town in the database as they do at mailbox etc and he responded that mailbox etc was taken over by UPS 20 yrs ago. Then I was quoted $184 for delivery in 3 days. I was looking towards his supplies because my own envelope seemed small and I wanted to have an inner envelope. He caught me looking and said I was needlessly nervous. I said I am nervous at his questions. I told him his voice was muffled behind his mask and I could not hear him clearly. Immediately - he produced an open pack of face masks. I asked him if covid was back now, told him that this transaction is not going well and walked out. I could not stomach going to another UPS store after that. This store is a good one to AVOID! Definitely they have operacional issues on Sundays, the staff is nice but the offered services are NOT all available on Sundays. Probably only good for drop off and that is it, need an urgent corporate visit to get some support to accomplish the guests expectations, definitely they post my bussiness, I will look for any other choice to print my documents like FedEx or any other except UPS read more

I rarely ever ship anything but I had an unsatisfactory order from an online merchant. Anyhow, I came in today to get it off my hands and this was my first time spin this so I didn't know what to do. The guy was unfriendly and mumbled a lot so it didn't really help at all. I could hardly understand a word. But at least he was efficient. By far the worst customer service at a UPS store and from the owner! I feel sorry for his employees. He wouldn't take my package because I didn't have it taped closed. He said the box was too big and to take it to usps because they will tape it got me. I drove 7 mins to the next closest UPS store and they taped it up and too it off my hands. Review is for Overnight Shipping: Very disappointed with shipping after having two important real estate transactions notarized then paying over $50. for overnight shipping to find out, 4 days later, that it never left the place! I understand people make mistakes but please don't ever lie - The guy (not owner, owner is good), said my overnight package left but upon review of UPS records it didn't and they shipped it forward after I called, so I won't be getting a refund! I would not recommend sending overnight here. Overnight should be guaranteed or money back. I could have sent ground USPS. Worst part is being lied about the departure date. 50 cents to tape a box for you...and $5 minimum for credit/debit cards,,,, Also it is a really small store but everything you need to ship something is all in one place and is easy to locate everything from boxes to tape. Parking in that area can be a hassle because there is a small parking area for customers but if that fills up you have to find alternative spots either across the street in the Garrett parking lot or in the 30 minute spots in the parking lot where that paint store is. The customer service is alright. I didn't really need much help and all I had to do was pay to ship a package. read more

I had no problem with the service for the most part. I went today and one of the doors was open (it's a hot day, no big deal). When I walked in with my mask I was trying to figure out how the social distancing guidelines worked markings on the floor, etc.). An employee said only 4 ppl at a time (as if I should know this)and pointed at the door (as if I should know this). I'd not usually be annoyed but while waiting outside I realized the door that was open (and was not visible when I walked in) had the sign that said this. If you expect people to follow the guidelines (and don't treat them like they are stupid), make sure they can actually see the signs. For the 3rd time in a row the manager told me they couldn't ship my box because it was too big... I've shipped bigger boxes from this store so it doesn't make any sense. Nice and easy drop-off. It was pretty slow when I walked in, and the two workers were talking with each other, but as soon as I came in, they immediately stopped their conversation and helped me out. I had a package which I needed to return and I came to this location with that intent after I got off work. Little did I know that the location closes at 6:30 and that I would end up missing that by about seven or eight minutes. As I pulled on the door another gentleman came up and he too realized that they close at 6:30 and he had missed his opportunity to get his mail from his box. At this time a lady who appeared to be the manager came out and asked if I was just dropping off I said yes and the man said I'm just picking up my mail at which time she allowed us to come in take care of our business and be on our merry way in just a couple of minutes. It is now the 19th and neither the UPS Store or UPS knows where the package is even though I have a tracking number. DO NOT USE THIS UPS LOCATION! I was again told by the UPS Store that there is nothing they can do given that it is a busy season. Apparently, they may or may not follow through on sending your package once you have paid and left the package in their possession. read more

Not on Fernando's watch. Let's talk about how awesome the manager, Fernando, is. Totally Efficient - here is a guy that cranked out all of the above items with 3 minutes to spare! And he helped us bring in the boxes through the back door! It would be one thing if this review were about one visit, but it's not. This review is about 4 visits and the consistent GREAT service my friend and/or I received every time. I have been to a lot of UPS locations, but this one was by far the best. I hear from my local UPS back east that the economy has the shipping business down, but there was ALWAYS someone in this UPS each time we were there. And the staff either had another associate to help us right away or acknowledged us and let us know they were just finished up and would be with us in a moment. I actually just had to contact the BBB about this location. It was THAT BAD Please read my formal complaint below... I just had the worst customer experience at one of the locations in San Jose, CA. I expect this to be addressed as soon as possible.... Description of Complaint: I came in to this location on Saturday morning (August 22) a little after 9am. I was coming in to drop off a package to go back to Amazon, I had already had the pre-printed postage ready. The guy was very nasty and said, we charge 50 cents to tape your box. I was a little taken back because I have been coming to this location for the last year, and it was never stated as such. I asked him if there was a sign somewhere, and he stopped what he was doing, walked behind the register and pointed to a small sign, out of plain view of a customer walking in to the store. He then said, "consider this your LAST warning" as if to threaten me. I told him I would be sure to remember for next time, and that I did not plan on coming back because of how he was treating me.I also made the suggestion he should move it to the counter, and he said "thats what my finger is for" He then asked me if i wanted a receipt, to which I said "yes" then he stated, "i should charge you for that too" I asked him why he was being so nasty as the receipt printed. He then went to hand it to me, as I went to take it, he held on to it...making me have to pull harder to get it out of his hands. As i left the store I told him that he should not be treating people this way. To which he responded by giving me the MIDDLE FINGER AND KISSED IT. I was completely baffled by this mans behavior toward women. It was disgusting and needs to be addressed immediately. read more

As you can tell with my reviews I always like to give a business the second or third chance to try to change my opinion of their service and/or offerings. I called again today to the store. And receive misinformation about shipping items. What the person on the phone didn't know was that I heard from another retailer that if you go directly to UPS and bypass the UPS stores you're able to complete your shipments without a problem. Finally at the end of my call to the UPS store, I presented the information to the babbling idiot that answered the phone. He conceded that, that was in fact the truth. I want to really tell him what an idiot I thought he was but better just to let karma deal with him later on. What is funny is that they don't bother to read yelp reviews apparently and/or respond to them. The fact they charge for a simple tape job, especially when you use them... And let's just say one piece of tape isn't really doing much... Another trip, got in right before the deadline, asked if they could get it there in two days, said yes, choosing ground... Came back on Monday, package was out for delivery four days (incl the weekend) to send to LA... Package came and looked like it was run over... Guy at counter basically read from the script stating it could have arrived in two days but not guaranteed... No sorry, didn't seem to care... I could have mailed it, faster... read more

Back in 08 I came here to try and mail something and ended up walking out of the store because....this super mean old lady used to be the owner and was just really rude! I had to make a large mailing the other day and since this is my closest UPS location, I crossed my fingers, walked in and low and behold was greeted by two super friendly sales reps! I was shipping some heavy and large boxes and didn't have a lot of time to spare, and they really eased the processes and were on top of things. I will definitely be back! read more

Buyer beware...despite the UPS sign out front, this is a locally owned franchise with an arms-length relationship to UPS itself. They can and will charge rates much higher than UPS.COM which they set as they see fit. Also the owner yelled at me for not taping the top of the box I brought in, then when I asked if he could run tape across it, he complained extensively about it. Do not use this branch. I shipped something on Saturday and indicated to the employee that I needed it delivered by the following Saturday because the recipients would not be home after that. The gentleman assisting said he could get it there by Friday. Great! It was $52 but as long as it got there on time no problem. Well without receiving a notification the shipping date was changed to Monday. I called the branch and asked what I can do. The guy said there was probably nothing because I chose ground shipping. He accused me and said I should have said the package needed to get there by a certain date. I said I DID. He said well that probably didn't happen because we are suppose to up-sell and the employee would have chose a more expensive shipping if you indicated that you needed there by the following Saturday. What!!!?!? Wow ridiculous. Not only was the service poor but now I paid $52 for nothing!!!! read more

Recently, as a result of some weird shipping label confusion they were able to help me do a little sleuthing to figure out that instead a package gone missing it had actually just been scanned under a different tracking number.
