After calling 8 courier services for an online purchase pick-up, I decided to try one more company and called Ready, Set, Go. (Their website was really clear and nongimmicky - and not made in 1996.) I talked to Chris on the phone and he was really helpful and cared about earning my business. He made it an easy decision to give the company a try. (Honestly, the other companies quoted me more expensive rates and some of the places I called made me feel like they'd be doing *me* a favor. Yeah no.) Ready, Set, Go was also the only company with a ton of payment options. My items arrived ahead of time and I was able to pay at the door. I really respect the way they operate and would definitely call them again. I only regret the entire morning I spent calling other companies before choosing them :(

Almost a week later, two days before I needed their service, I figured something was wrong, so I sent them another text to follow up (because they didn't follow up with me). I was then informed through text that they had issues with their email and didn't respond to my request even though they had received it. Moreover, they were now completely booked and can't get my delivery done. I'm now stuck with $400 worth of food and am in need of a different service to do my delivery. I would suggest going with a more reliable company in the future.

Okay fine. I call head office and tell them to use our concierge desk, they say okay we'll try again tomorrow. Two days later no package. I call Clearly for a tracking number. I input the number of Phantoms website. Order not found. Weird. I call customer service and they say they shipped my package back to Clearly because I wasn't home! Are you kidding me? They are rude, unhelpful, and the only delivery service I know that doesn't know how to use a concierge desk. Avoid at all costs.

The first thing to know is that Shop N Drop is an actual service. Eric is a real person and it is a…read morelegitimate business. Obviously this is EXTREMELY important to know as there are con artists out there. And to trust someone to pick up your item and drop it at your house means you need to know that the person isn't going to drive off with it. Eric will ask you to text the receipt for your item so he can show it to the business (ie: Canadian Tire). If he is dropping off the item at your house and you won't be there, he will ask you to e-mail him to give your permission. He will give you a window of time when he is going to drop off the item and will call to let you know if there are changes in times. He will give you a quote but it depends on how heavy the item is. If it is a barbeque that is maybe 50 or so pounds, the quote is about 49.00 but it will cost more for heavier items, which is fair. He moved a metal garden shed for us that weighed over 300 pounds that we couldn't move in our small vehicle. We were charged $118.00. The delivery was prompt, Eric took great care moving the item to the back, and closed the heavy gate that I couldn't move, to keep the item secure. He was polite and gave me a detailed receipt. Eric can have a terse, business-like manner on the phone but do not take this to be rudeness. Wouldn't you rather have an honest, upfront person to deliver your item, rather than someone who might sound 'nice' but who breaks your item, is careless, or who doesn't even show up? For people who can't move things on their own because they don't have a truck or if it's too heavy, Eric is a trusted person to do the job for you. That's one thing you don't have to worry about in a chaotic world. Peace.
