That was the most ridiculous experience. I show up 2 min before closing and his answer to my print job was, "I don't know how to print that (they do it every day for me) and I don't have time, we are closing in two minutes. I'm sure this is corporate greed on the part of UPS ramming their employees to avoid overtime. When I worked my family retail business we'd stay for an hour after closing. What a joke, not knowing how to do the job, simple 1-page print and unwilling to help a regular customer. Don't go here, try another store!!! Horrible. read more

I've held a club volunteer position for the last several years that requires a post box and I'm so glad that I chose the Del Mar UPS Store. One of the great advantages is that you can call or email them to find out if you have any mail, unlike the US Post Office which (for clubs and businesses) requires you to drive down and physically check all the time. I can go weeks without getting any mail so being able to call and check was a huge time saver. And the staff - Jeff, Jon and Luisa - are so helpful and friendly and responsible. It is always a pleasure to stop in. I also do all of my package shipping, Amazon returns, shredding, printing, and notary services there. Truly a convenient one-stop service. Twenty-plus years of great service to us. We first started using this UPS Store (then Mail Boxes Etc ) over twenty years ago when we moved to Del Mar, initially with a private mail box while transitioning to the area. Shipping service here has been convenient and terrific. Now we come here for Amazon returns when we're in Del Mar. There's limited 20-minute parking in front of the store, more south of the store and on side streets. Store associates are always friendly and helpful. read more

I went into the store to get a document notarized. When I finally got the clerks attention he asked me in a very gruff voice what I wanted. He told me to sit at a table and he would be right with me. He then proceeded to help other customers that came in after me and when they were gone, he did some stretching exercises. After about 15 minutes of doing nothing I was getting rather impatient and asked him how long it would be for me to get waited on. He got extremely irritated with my question and started to try and pick a fight with me. I refused to take the bait. Then a woman who was in another room all the time taking a break came out and asked me what i wanted. I told her and the unkept guy with the long beard told her not to wait on me. She asked me to leave for two hours and come back. I said I'm leaving but not coming back. I have been a customer of this store for several years. I'm shocked at the treatment I got and I would like to let the owner know how they are treating his business when he is not around. She even offered complimentary copies of our documents for free. This UPS store is located in Camino Del Mar; very nice community and close to the beaches. The scenery is beautiful around this area. I rarely leave a review of any place but this seems worthy. I dropped a few packages off to be mailed and some were for USPS. After we were called to pick up the packages bc they couldn't send out, the packages were nowhere to be found!!! Three weeks later, 3 phone calls later and 3 visits later....we finally asked all the employees (including the manager ... she couldn't be bothered) to finally look in their closet. I live closer to the UPS store off Del Mar Heights. However, I choose to drive 5 more mins out of my way to come to this store instead due to better service. I have stopped by multiple times in the last couple of months and the service has always been consistent. Today I needed a notary for power of attorney forms. Will helped me in less than 10 mins. Staff is friendly and always helpful. The store also is less chaotic then other locations and you can always find street parking if spaces are full. read more

This is a great UPS location with friendly, helpful staff when you need to ship via UPS. But for Amazon returns, they treat you like you're a huge burden and their attitude shifts to either annoyance or just plain rude. I understand this may create more workload for them, but that is not the fault of Amazon customers. This may be their intention to discourage future Amazon drop-offs. The guys at my local UPS store are always friendly and today was no different. I went in to mail a package for which I had a pre-paid USPS label. Yes, USPS. The label was blurry and I tried twice for USPS to mail. Instead I was going to pay extra to ship via UPS. They insisted my USPS label was fine, they would work with their mail person and could offer to enter tracking number manually. USPS was just lazy. The guys today could have been lazy as well and had me pay for UPS to ship...instead they know what customer service looks like. Thank you guys!! This UPS Store and Farouk, the owner, exemplify the difference between doing business and being a great company. I shipped a very expensive piece of equipment through his store. When it arrived at the destination the box was damaged and the equipment was severely damaged. UPS told me they wouldn't cover anything and blamed me for the way it was packed. No customer service at all, very, very, very rude and unprofessional, I request the print service for my label, and he refused to print, even after was sent to his email, claiming that he will not change the settings of the computer to make the label in the correct size. How could great company like ups, give away your name for such rude and unprofessionally unprepared representative.
