Can't say enough good things about the particular UPS STORE. Our first time visiting Marblehead, my family was up here from South Carolina celebrating my daughter's nursing school graduation by giving her a Boston trip, and this is where we got our VRBO. As what happens with a lot of vacations, we bought too much to fly home with us. So monday morning, I brought a large bag of souvenirs into the store and met Devin. He was super understanding of what I needed and how I wanted to get this stuff back to south carolina safe and sound. His personality and customer service was awesome. And when we received our box yesterday, everything was protected and wrapped and handled with so much care. It was an honor to meet this guy, and I just wanted to show him some online love that he was greatly appreciated for helping us out during the end of our vacation. 10 out of 10. Positive reviews aren't given out enough anymore, so I just wanted to relay a sincere THANK YOU to Devin and this UPS STORE. We will definitely be back to Marblehead again! I've watched at how the employees get treated by the customers. They come into the store expecting to be waited on right away. If they'd take a minute and actually watch how many things are going on behind the counter they may see these employees are doing the best they can. I watched as one man brought in a large fragile item to box. No matter what they did, it wasn't good enough. Frequent customer to this UPS location. Whenever I asked a question, the manager is just extremely rude and dismissive to me. When I asked today about my parcel being delayed three times she insulted me and said "well, I guess you don't watch the news because there was a crash. A plane crash in which 14 UPS people were killed and she walked away."She always makes me feel terrible so I'm not going to frequent the store anymore. Upon talking to local store owners , they all feel the same way about her. She needs an attitude adjustment. There's no exception to the rule. You do not need to be rude, especially in this environment. She should be grateful for the value of her customers for frequent return customers should not be treated like that. read more

I have been using this place for everything imaginable for years. Very dependable, very organized and everyone has always been helpful and polite. When I see some of the bad reviews for places like this I always wonder about the people writing them and I would bet they are Uber annoying to deal with. Spending alot time in the area itself, I understand some mindsets are very that way. Some of the employees- Rich and Cal are wonderful. Always treat me kindly and with respect. The other who I have had wait on me-, who has neck tattoos- is creepy and unhelpful. When I last visited the store, the neck tattoo man, I think he is named Luke- was in there. Scowling the whole time. He made me feel very uncomfortable. He has NO business being in customer service. What's up with all these negative reviews?! The guys at this store are truly the best! Great enough in their customer service skills that I'll drive there from Hamilton whenever I need UPS. We first relocated from Portland, Oregon in 2021 and we lived in Gloucester, then we moved to Salem, and we ended up needing UPS pretty regularly. This location set itself apart from the closer locations because of their excellent service. Each time I'm there I see the team interacting on various levels and it's clear that they're aces at building relationships with their clients. Notary charges $15 a stamp. They do not disclose this before you sign papers. They tell you when you're done to pay up. Go to a bank, they gladly do it for free. Pretty lousy. They lost a customer, not a good way for a "small" business to be run. This is the owners policy. read more

With my office being available by appointment only, I decided to try the UPS store in Marblehead for making some photocopies. I am a social worker and working remotely means dropping off hard copy therapy materials at clients' homes. I live in Marblehead and figured this would be a great option for my printing needs. There was no customer besides me in the store and the woman working offered a key to access the copier. There are two machines and she did not say which to use so I used the machine closest to me. After making my copies and trying to check out she expressed her frustration at my using "the wrong machine." Mind you, she never said which machine to use. She kept her interaction with me as minimal as possible; I could feel she didn't want to be bothered by me. Upon check out, she said, "The reason we have you use THAT machine is because it counts the copies. Didn't you even notice you didn't need the key to use the copier?" I shared that I'd not been in the store before and didn't know the rules as to which machines were off limits. She expressed frustration at her needing to count my copies (I already had counted for her by the way) and at my apparent stupidity for not knowing that the layout of the store meant customers are NOT allowed to use the more accessible copier but are expected to intuitively know to use the one shoved in the corner. I was going to buy stamps but just left as I felt my presence was ruining her day. I've worked crap jobs I've hated but the key is never letting the customer know you feel that way. Her attitude will have me driving the extra ten minutes to staples moving forward. Customer service counts, these days more then ever. read more

I had the opportunity to hang out in this store for quite a while! I was frantically working on a print deadline that some characters of the font I was using was not printing for some reason! These guys helped me tremendously by allowing me to pester them with emailed files to print and proof again and again! They were really helpful and professional with me and everyone else who came in while I was there. It's a super busy store but they are really efficient. I'll be using them for all my shipping and printing needs. Parking is really convenient also. read more

I was on vacation in Salem, MA. We searched for the nearest UPS store and found this store in Marblehead, MA. We had a taxi driver bring us to the store and they helped us get everything shipped back to Florida. They gave me a new box for everything, helped me pack it, gave me a discount, and the manager helped us find a ride to the airport! On top of that all they even gave me and my two sisters candy from the store! They were great, and because of them we made our flight on time, had a great taxi driver take us the scenic route to the airport (even stopping so we could take pictures and telling us the history of the town, his name was Phil!) and all of our things were shipped back to our house in two days! The staff here is great, but the owner is just an unpleasant, awkward, human being. Customer service skills F-, with no neighborhood community warmth. Her aura is just so off and makes me cringe. One example, she actually charged me for color copies of a second page that printed *blank* - she did not look at the attachment in my email closely before she printed to see there was nothing on the second page. Then insisted on charging me. Coming from someone that his been in business for yrs - that is profoundly short sighted. I have tried to overlook given the close proximity to my home, but honestly I just hate giving her money. I will go to The UPS Store in Vinnin Sq in a minute over going into this location. It's one thing to pay expensive costs when you have wonderful customer service & in town convenience - but painful to pay ridiculous pricing and nickel and dime'd by a person w/ a miserable demeanor. When I recently needed to ship a package back to Amazon, I stopped by this location to drop it off. While there, I inquired about another package I needed to ship and experienced an incredibly rude, aggressive and petulant customer service representative(using that term loosely). Even worse, I reached out to the owner directly to discuss my experience, and she has yet to respond. Since a week has passed I will assume she doesn't care about losing my business or the consequences...which is only reinforced by reading their current reviews. The customer service from Arlyne and Leslie is nothing short of lazy and rude. They are obviously miserable, hate their job and it shows. The young men who work there are helpful and do a great job. I have written a detailed complaint letter to the corporate office but nothing will likely come of it as it is a franchise store (they should pull her franchise and put her out of her misery). read more

I just had a terrible experience with Arlyne, the owner, at the Marblehead UPS. She was rude to, not only me, but a very nice gentleman trying to simply return a package. He very politely questioned why it was so expensive to ship a return that the company apparently pays for. She had to throw in some unnecessary side comments. Her people skills are so terrible and rude, and worse than that she doesn't care who she displays them to. She was also beyond rude to the man that works there, in front of me! He was the one that was actually helping me. Pleasant and considerate, until Arlyne swooped over to micromanage him. I was so embarrassed for him. Then, when I too, questioned the total, she came back over to rudely explain the outrageous costs. Even the man that was helping me was stunned! She must be so miserable as a person. Everytime I come to this UPS store, I leave upset. There is a woman that works there that has always been really impatient with me for no reason and just all around unfriendly. I feel like I'm imposing on her day and she's very bothered by me coming into return items, like it's some sort of inconvenience. I feel extremely rushed every time and spoken to in an awkward, rude manner and it's really unacceptable. She was rude to my children once and snapped at them when she could of kindly spoken to them for whatever reason she was irritated with them as well... For this reason, I've taken my business to the UPS in Swampscott where I am greeted nicely and not felt like I am doing something wrong. Customer service goes a really long way and if I was a manager at this store I'd be upset to know that an employee was driving customers away. I try not to take peoples attitudes personal, especially when I've done nothing wrong, but I avoid this location entirely because of this woman. read more

Although the store is convenient and parking is excellent, I will no longer be doing business here. Twice I have comparison shopped with another UPS store in a neighboring town and am very surprised at the cost difference. I shipped two different items of "normal " size and weight to East Coast locations and the cost difference was over 50%. I was shocked. The people in the store are very pleasant and the store is well equipped , I just do not want to pay anymore than necessary. I know this is a franchise, but had no idea that cost would vary from store to store as much as it seems to. read more

I'm surprised by all the negative reviews. I come here a lot, mostly to return packages (thank you Amazon and Zappos). I have never had to wait long, I have always parked in front, the gentlemen helping me have been polite, they will tape up the boxes, they will also take USPS, etc. Sending boxes by UPS is expensive, however I don't think the rates are different among different UPS stores. They have a decent supply of things you need for mailing, plus other stuff like chargers, pencil sharpeners, etc. read more

When you want a print do not go here. I asked for a document that was 80 pages with double sided printing and was spiral bound, but what I got was 160 pages in two different books with a comb binding. When I called them to tell them that they got it wrong, all I got in a response was he said that was I had received was what I ordered even though I got an email with what I had wanted saying that it was confirmed. Just go to staples because they don't make these mistakes. read more

I have done business with the Marblehead UPS store for many years and have found them to be so helpful they could be said to "go the extra ten miles." I've worked with them both locally--in Marblehead --and long- distance--from Atlanta--and have not found their fees to be any higher than any other UPS store I've used. I would happily pay more, however, if they charged more, for their kind of customer service and more-than-pleasant atmosphere. read more
